Ya one sniper only per team..... Not a good choice on the game makers part. To offten the ''one'' guy that picks the sniper class has NO clue what he or she is doing and doesnt help in any way. But now and then you get some one on the scope that will get behind them or on the flank, or up high, get kill after kill and realy piss off the other team. But it's rare.

@boss350a Does the entire mass of a sniper scope overwhelm your vision in real life? No. the game was made to be as realistic as possible unlike Call of Duty. In this, it doesn't take 8 shots to the head to kill someone.

the scope magnifies everything rather well in my opinion.

Part of this game is the fact that battles are much larger and also over a greater distance than other games, obviously as a sniper this guy is hanging back, this is also a huge open map that i personally hate.

There are many, often full, servers hosting quick small scale maps (look up danzig gameplay) that are fun.

I prefer maps bigger than danzig, but less open than this.

Wow I just today found about Red Orchestra.. I'm a experienced sniper in any game you can think of. [COD, Halo, GOW, etc.] On a scale of 1 to 10 how realistic do you think the sniping in this game is compared to real life? And is this game free to play?

Sniping in Halo and CoD is different. In those games, you're not really sniping. It's more of an overpowered rifle run-and-gun than actually sniping.

In RO (and reality), a good sniper digs into a good place and waits for a shot. "Camping" isn't also a "cheap noob tactic" in RO, as a well placed grenade or vehicle will take care of a sharpshooter. Guns aren't 100% accurate either, the bullets in RO are based on a ballistics engine.

The actual game costs about $10 now, I think.
