  • I love this album- and this video complements it well. Did the band G.O.L do anything else before or after this album? And where's the singer now?!

  • Very nice!!! I like the part with the tired travelllers waiting ... reminds me of my trip to India...

  • heard this on 'chill' on sirius radio today. cool stuff. diggin the brave new world reference too

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this!

  • Awesome! Been years sinci I listened to this. Had volumes 1 and 2 on vinyl and 3 on CD thrashed to death. Cheers

  • Look, "Love the tripped out temple", comment by Tibbenham. Would that actually be THE Mark Tibbenham from GOL? I have Sensations of Tone and love the album, its timeless and has been a favourite of mine for many years. I've read that some people pay over 200 Euro to get a copy of the CD now.

  • the graphic flowers look like there from 1994. i love your video btw!

  • Great song. Look up Soma on Wikipedia for some fascinating reading.

  • Where the music of the radio

Was a labyrinth of sonorous colours

To a bright centre of absolute convicton

    Where the dripping patchouli

    Was more than scent

    It was a sun.

  • awesome melody, do dreamy and moody

heard it on somafm, green salad channel

    great radio

  • The first time I heard this song it was on XM and I just melted. Can anyone tell me anything about this group.

  • LMFAO ! Its funny, I'm listening to these guys on Sirius right now. They are a trio from Britian formed in the 90's. Sorry, that's all I know, but cool music eh?

  • Google "Gods of Luxury". Wiki has a good page.

  • @bobtis I can tell you .... you can find this great song on the One AD compilation

  • ONE AD is one of my fav compilations

  • This is such a TUNE. Fantastic visuals. You ROCK!

  • I was visiting St Barths and I had this song on my MP3 player. The song seemed in some ways perfect for the island which seems somehow misplaced in the Caribbean.

  • when i hear this song reminds me my Good old Friend who is in other world now .. and all i think is i just want a roll another joint ,, close my eyes .... one gramme....

  • yes Tuhu you heve right- it is like Greek dreams;)....the light...

  • I second that Sirius is the best...I just heard this song and had to have it..

  • Thank God for Sirius satellite. I would have never heard this song and found this great video.

  • Had great times listenning to this...

  • Is Soma a reference to Brave New World, the drug the take in it?

  • Soma is a drink that was used in ancient India. It is thought that the ancient vedas were written when soma was drunk. The plant that is used to make soma no longer grows in India.

  • Soma is a drug made up in the book 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley.

  • Now I remember where I heard Soma Holiday before. I read that book a long time ago, but Soma isn't made up, it's an actual chemical.

  • Yes yes, listen to the lyrics too. Straight from the book.

  • very good song i like g.o.l. and your video is so cool. Thank you buddy

  • wow... what a nice surprise to see someone put this to video.... really great job with the visuals... well I'm off now to check out your other clips!

  • Many thanks for the nice comment!

  • i loved this song i bought it at a orbital concert on my 21'st birthday

  • Love the tripped out temple at 3:26

  • It's actually the Gol Gumbaz, located in the city of Bijapur, southern India.

  • You know, I sort of think that this song would be great for dancing to. I haven't really tried dancing to it yet, but I have an idea of what the dance will be like (mostly improvisational).

  • I guess the dance would be fairly slow and spiritual. Perhaps someone can make a video of themselves dancing to 'Soma Holiday' ;)

  • That's kind of like what I'm imagining. I would love to dance to this song at Anthrocon, too.

  • i just did a tango to it, didn't work at all

  • GREAT!!

  • Thanks for the positive comment!

  • You're welcome! I love this song.
