I visited Isfehan two years ago and it was very lovely. I have very nice memories from that trip. Even though it was very crowded since it was during Nowruz! I hope I can visit Isfehan again :)

Is there a meaning for the word - Isfahaan? Just wondering because i know someone named - Asfahaan.

name of Isfahan came from espadan or espadana in Pahlavi (Persian old language) then it changed to espahan or sepahan which means armies, then it kind of arabized after Islam and changed to Isfahan because Arabs couldn't pronounce "p" so "p" changed to "F", i hope I'm right,thats what I've read.

I was only there for 3 or 4 days, valee aashegh shodam as Esfahan (but I fell in love with Esfahan). It is truly a city with soul and a tangible vibe.
