Great band. Saw them many times in the glorious 70s.......I think! As they say - if you can remember them then you weren't there! Must ask the man inside my head:-)
Me and my mate were dressing room security for them at Trentham Gardens ballroom. You should know where that is. Unless it's another Stoke ;-) '77 I think. Like you said and I can relate, that's all I can remember. Except for the one thing. Before HE went one stage, while wandering about in TG's little back stage corridors. HE stopped and asked me where the Khazi was. Other than that? It's just a wee bit foggy.
@Skenzed Remember TG Ballroom well. Saw many great bands there in the seventies inc. Led Zep (twice) The Who, T.Rex, Rod & Faces, Genesis (supporting Lindisfarne) Hawkwind to name but a few. ahhhh great days...
fantastic show, but it annoys me that bands ever mimed on it, and it seemed to happen quite often, you can hear him singing over his studio vocal on this
The reason why we who fondly remember Alex Harvey Band and enjoy so much playing this track and NEXT is because we have had our senses dulled by "Rap" and the sh!t reality amateur "shows" like X Factor for the past 20 years. And this is like a huge breath of fresh air! Brilliant!
Classic. Alex was soooo good but the booze got him. the Roman on the Wall as he was was a genius and Zal Clemson one of the the best guitarist ever. AWESOME....speechless is right....
Aleh Harvey and THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND (Formerly = Tear Gas from Coatbridge) there is only one word to describe this MAN, this BAND and THEIR MUSIC = SENSATIONAL.
Yes the Punks were so right weren't they? There was nothing dangerous and exciting until a bunch of kids who couldn't play properly came along in 1976.

@Hellishcrusade you can see the smack in alex face but he was still a one off and scots to boot. wow a SCOTTISH MAN ON HERION U DONT SEE THAT NOW......LOL
Part of me cries that this is all long gone-why did this have to go out of style? But another part of me is eternally grateful that it lives on here on YouTube. They just don't do it like this anymore :(
I saw SAHB at the Falkirk Town Hall when I was maybe 16, big hall - hardly anybody there, after slagging Falkirk and really pissed off he gave the best performance I ever witnessed, at one point eating a pair of tights he took off a girl. Him and Cleminson were really scary. At the end, two rows of people in this empty hall were going nuts we must have looked like we were crazy.
incredible. I just discovered TSAHB this week and I feel deprived for the last 20+ years. They should be more well known. I'm from Scotland and I remember someone telling me about them but I grew up when Guns n Roses, AC/DC and WASP were cool so a band with "sensational" in it wasn't going to cut it. My loss. Great band.
