I see that you listed two camcorders. I am looking for a comcorder that gives me the 35mm filmlook and is also great in low light. Which one is better the JVC GY-HD100u of the JVC GY-HM100u? and thank you for the information.
@ayoitzadam The JVC GY-HD100 or others of the same product family are now an economic price on eBay etc.. The successor is the GY-HM100 which is a tapeless camera. The 35mm is what gives the "filmlook" as such. It is because of the optical characteristic of 35mm lenses.
These days, people who are after the create effects of 35mm filmcamera shallow depths-of-field and fields-of-view are finding them in modern digital SLR stills cameras a market the Canon EOS 7D and 5D MkII seem to dominate.
angles were good, colors were perfect for the settings, having db0 made it look awesome actually. Just a good job, I been on the video editing business (simulation as well as real life) and I always learn from other videos (like this one) good job!

This looks really good! The editing is superb. Looks like cheap video, ei? Just telling it like it is, huh? Maybe you need to be smashed up, man. Roughened up a little, you know. Maybe get your eyes checked as well. You know whatI think man? I think YOU look like cheap video. Cheap 80s VHS video. Sheesh. No hard feelings friend - just needed to get that out. You're ok, man.
I love the harsh criticizing coming from someone who has no videos to post showing off how his work is so much better than this! lol
Hey, Pal? Until you can do any better, go fuck yourself. Its easy to sit at your computer and rip somebody's hard work while you don't have dick to offer! Do you even own a camera and shoot videos or do you just like thinking your a youtube movie critic?
what the hell man? i mean, what the hell? I only just saw ur comment u posted a year ago to my comment in reply to YOURS, and what the hell man? what the hell? what the hell man? huh? huh pal? what the hell man? what the bloody hell man? so who the hell r u man? huh? what the hell man? holy smokes man, what the hell, huh? what the bloody hell man? **gently places "crack-pipe" onto coffee table, with the strict intention of refraining from using it until reply is given. Takes tissues out of mouth to sound clearer, as opposed to "mumbling".** Ahem...: Listen pal, why don't you go take a hike, bozo. i mean c'mon buster, where the hell do u get off tellin me to put my crack-pipe down, man, huh? give me a break, man! Geeeze....the nerve of some people.
My name is Kiki, and i was raped before i died. I use to enjoy pain and now i inflict it upon people. I was tortured and raped until i could no longer breathe. Those bastards now suffer and die, and those who do not repost this to 5 videos will die too.
At the strike of 12AM, those who did not repost this will die a horrible death after seeing a bloody face covered with long black hair. Those who repost this will receive a kiss from their crush
i bought this camera and i have to say its the best bit of kit ive ever laid my hands on. i especially love how much you can grade in camera preserving more quality at the edit stage.
I think Steve shot it specifically for PAL video projection for local use. It looked great on a big screen and made me re-examine my prejudices against video projection.

Good work.

I have purchased a used JVC pro 1/2 inch 3 ccd camera for $2,500.00 with only 100 hours on the drum meter,it had problems so I sent it in.
After spending $500.00 to JVC service on it ,19 hours later it had the same exact problem.I lost an big $ client that day .
Sent it back and was told they wanted another $200.00 to repair the same issue.
If they treat a pro camera this way how do you think they'll treat your $1,000.00 camera ?
Stay Far Away from ALL JVC products, you'll only get burned .

Excellent production.

Video? Yes - nothing but.
What is achieved is a unique image aesthetic which emulates 35mm film imaging. No other claim than that is made here.
I neglected to mention that the JVC GY-HD100 was set up for SD MiniDV, not HDV for practical reasons. It does not look too bad to me.
I am biased as I assisted with this project and we all aspire to progressing our skills to higher levels.
Just telling it like it was. It was a fun day.
