@xSBxUltrax look what justice it did tho,the 6megpxls the canon had is more than enough, always remember its the lenses and editing schemes you have not always the camera
@Joshalots because they know how good it will do you,"you ever hear the expansion"pay to play"...and they know of course if you take care of them it will last for life in turn you not buying more
Hey, Yeah, besides the adapter you'll need at least one lens. I mostly use prime Nikon lenses but you can use different ones. They have to be manual tho, with the aperture ring. It's good to buy the rod support as well. Happy shooting
@mjoachimowski Absolutely love your video. I have the same exact camera, but I don't currently own a 35mm adapter. I was thinking about getting a JAG35, but the Letus looks SUPER nice (but definitely super expensive). Do you think I should save and get the letus? (which would require tons of saving) Or should I just go ahead and buy the JAG? Thanks!
i usually go for the best there is and as far as I'm concerned Letus is the way to go. Mini is only $799 so I would, and did, go with it. But it's up to you. There is bunch of videos out there, you just have to do the research and check what you need. Good luck :)
Thanks so much mjoachimowski! I think I may invest in the Letus because your image quality blows away any image I've seen with any other adapter. The HF s10 has a 58mm thread, so the mini fits that? One last question, wat settings were you using?
Hey, I have the same exact camera, but definitely not the letus adapter. I dont have a ton of money and was considering buying a jag. Do you think I should buy a jag? Or save up and invest in a letus? Did you buy the letus extreme? lol sorry for all the questions
Hey, thanks for watching..and asking - it doesn't hurt :) I haven't used the jag adapter, but it's the same thing that letus. What i just saw online is that jag doesn't flip the image upright, so you'll see everything up side down as Letus does. Your camera doesn't have toe option to flip the image in the viewfinder so the upside down picture will mess with your mind during panning or tilting. With this canon I have letus mini and it works great. Just make sure to use good bright lenses :)
Great video. picture, edition and music. and the footage itself of course. I liked it! I found this video while browsing information for the canon HF S10, your camera. Just for my curisity.. whitch software did you used? Premiere?
It's a bit expensive but i'm almost sold to this camera. Any recomendations that you care to share? Thanks in advance =)
I'm using Final Cut Pro and don't have much experience with other ones besides Avid.
What I can say about this camera that the picture quality is fantastic for it's size. In dark situations it could be more sensitive (I try not to use gain, unless I really need to) the microphone is not the best, I have an external shotgun mic. I'm transfering the footage in FCP so they're converted to ProRes422 so 1h=60GB. But with the mic and 35mm adapter it's a nice semipro setup.
Just curious if you had 1000 dollars to buy a letus adapter, why didnt you just buy a better camera?

@TheCharliebeats
sure it looks nice but the canon cameras have pretty crap compression and horrible low light tolerance. letus isnt fixing them issues.

The Letus 35mm with the 58mm Ring is Temporarily out of stock... ;( But after looking at the Jag35 I can get over it.
Nice video

@mjoachimowski thank, i was wondering did you buy something to connect the mini letus 35mm to the camera or does it snap right in
ErikHutt 1 year ago
@ErikHutt you can select the right size for your camera when you're buying the adapter, so everything fits perfectly

I thought the Mini wouldn't work with the HF S10 because of the thread size? I guess I'm wrong. Did you use a step-up ring?
DJBFilmz 1 year ago
@DJBFilmz Mini works with HF S10 without the step up ring. Letus has the 58mm thread ring for mini. You can buy it from letusdirect
