  • Better not eat Convini Bentos too much.

They are full of chemical additives.

  • I love this stuff! Japanese grocery stores are the best.

  • Funny. The first thought I had was, "I WANT TO WORK THERE AND MAKE DELICIOUS FOOD!!" <--not sarcasm

  • Here, in Montreal, I pay 7$ for 8 pcx of lame disgusting sushi. :O

  • Its called Bento , right ?

  • im wondering why am i torturing myself with all those video..

  • I Just Ate My Laptop Screen..

    -Zen

  • There is a grocery store in it that has a "Chinese Kitchen" in it, and they have a small version of this. There's shelves with Japanese stuff, packaged almost exactly like this, has little meals/lunches, sushi, etc... Pretty neat. The Chinese food they have is pretty good too ;P

  • How long do those keep for? Could you take some home and keep them in the fridge or should they be eaten immediately?

  • ben-to!

  • hey you know why french people like snails cause they hate fast food..... hehe

  • @bananakiller21 LOL!

  • Are they at least using biodegradable wrappings or is it all plastic?

  • So this is what heaven looks like....

  • Bento lurking fear of China, it's Russian roulette

  • I wish I could give you 5 stars :( but, I can't.

  • I think I would lose weight in japan quickly

  • I got hungry

  • Looks like the bento we have over here.

  • I should go on a japanese food diet TT_TT

  • i suggest changing title - adding "in the world" to the title, cos its true.!

  • Let's be frank (sp?) about this, when you see in real life the product don't tell me you're starving in front of it...in my case i didn't know what was inside...and i haven't done a lot of food experiment (sp?) thanks to subway lol...will try it next time...

  • How amazing would it be if majority of western cultures made these :(

I bet it'd decrease the rate of overweight people...

  • どこだったか?

  • As soon as I learn the language,I'm moving to japan

  • That is not fast food but pre-packaged food...fast food is prepared while you wait! -Besides horse is pretty good but hard to fry up due to the high level of blood sugar in the meat so use plenty of butter!!!

  • If this is fast food I don't know what I've been missing!

  • The small size box lunches are from 3 to 5 dollars.

The normal size box lunches are from 5 to 7 dollars.

It is combinations of the salad for the boiled food of the side dish, rice, pickles, and the vegetable and one scooping.

There are roughly a lot of deep-frying things of the side dish.

There are a lot of side dishes that cook the fish (broiled fish).

Roast meat, mountain herbs, and the hamburger steak, etc.

  • @yamadago

There is a box lunch of noodles, too.

There are a Chinese noodle and pasta, etc. besides a Japanese buckwheat noodle and the japanese soba noodle.

  • @yamadago

Such a box lunch can be bought excluding the convenience store.

The box lunch is sold from about three dollars also in the supermarket etc.

As for the book, the deflation continues for a long time, and the box lunch is sold by the price of three dollars under the influence today though the box lunch etc. of three dollars were hardly seen in old times.

  • I am drooling!!!! I am drooling!!!!

  • No Ring Dings or Devil Dogs? Remember Devil Dogs? I wonder if they still make them. Damn, now I want a Devil Dog.

  • looks like alien food, do i eat it with my penis?

  • Comment removed

  • @XBirthBySleepX That's their gas station food. They have McDonald's too, but it's more expensive than American Mickey D's.

  • I want to go all OM NOM NOM in that store!

  • Come on! 495 yen is much more than 2-3$. Most of those bento boxes are around 400-500yen which means 5-6 $. Play fair...

  • Japan definitely has the best fast food - because it is healthy (and tasty) stuff. The arrangement and presentation of the food is appealing to the eyes as well.

  • GIMME!!

  • 2-3 dollars for those huge things wow

  • man even the fast food in Japan is healthier than a normal american food

  • Are fast fodd expensive there to as here

  • ohm nom nom nom :D

  • lol

  • Yen is getting too high compared to US$ so not that cheap anymore. The most inexpensive one is about US$2.50 and the most expensive one is about $6.

  • a friend of mine works where they make those fast foods, she says some are very tasty

  • 0.0

Dont let our US government c that! they will find a way to screw that up 2

  • I want to know how to make all that, hehe. :]

  • TASTY!!!!

  • hahahha 2-3 dollars?!! healthy and tasty. just try to compare this food to american mcdonalds hahahahah

  • @SiIXEN037 makes you wonder if it's not done on purpose... I mean, if it's possible for such a small country, why are we fat as fat can be in our western countries ?

P.S.: By small i'm not trying to belittle Japan...

  • @Acrimonator

Well, i think the United States has a lot of people in it and it is such a big land , the food gonna need to be preserved to be able to ship around the country, and preserving food cost a lot and its not always healthy to eat preserved food... you know ^__^"

  • Wow, cheap stuff...not to mention healthy! The best $3 will get me at a 7-eleven in the US is an expired, stale egg sandwich O_o.

  • The ones at 7-11 aren't really healthy though. I've eaten my share through train stations and other supa

  • 5ed because you asked so nicely

  • I love those :))

  • When I was in Japan I lived off of these bento boxes ! Probably not the healthiest idea, but it kept my wallet full!

  • OMG that food looks awful tasty.

  • is it any good?

  • i think the best fast food is horse

  • It sure is the fastest fast food!

    :-D

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom No the fastest food would be cheetah, but you have to watch out because it might try to eat you...

  • @buraburayoshi

  • Can you do a video on Japan's version of our takeaways like KFC and McDonalds, i reckon they would definatly have a few different menu options.

  • how much is US dollars worth in japan and how do you get japanese money ?

sorry for all question i might go and want to be prepared :[

  • Sounds like you need to check out our website forum.. lots of info on there.

  • @CoCoForCookies would be around 1 us dollar to 80 or 90 yen

  • @CoCoForCookies around 70-90 yen per for every one us dollars

  • @CoCoForCookies 1 Us dollar is roughly 100 yen in japan

  • @greengaurd 1 us dollar is roughly 91 yen, but it changes every single day

  • @okinawaskate Oh come on you know what i mean...

  • @greengaurd yeah i do, sry, heres an interesting fact, about 40 years ago, 1 US dollar was equal to 360 yen ! pretty crazy huh.

  • @okinawaskate yup, i wished it were the same today i would be rich if i lived in japan XD

  • @okinawaskate the world economy sure is in a bad place. I was in japan about roughly 20 months ago and the dollar was worth an average of 103 yen.

  • @CoCoForCookies 1 dollar =100 yen in easier terms a dollar equals 1.25 in japan

  • @DECIFERTHIS09 recently 1 dollar=80yen.

  • Can you get that stuff from 7/11 or just supermarkets??

  • There are lots of convenience stores in Japan.

  • Thank you ^^ By the way is food much more expensive there tehn in Austrlia?? Your and Aussie right?? :)

  • Yes.. I was.

    It is about the same.

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom

May I ask a simple question?

Are you gonna be naturalized to Japanese nationality in the near future then?

  • wow i eat pretty much like that i call it lunch xD rly but i just eat once everyday... thats mostly kuz i sleep too much and i dont do any exercise =P so i dont spend too much energy i eat enought too keep me alive and my system working, i mean calcium, iron, stuff like that, im also vegetarian xD

  • I think americans Called it FAST food y mistake, and ment to call it fat foods =/ seriously.. are there really any fat foods in japan.. that ARNT american!

  • Some fried food, but they don't eat much of it.

And for snacks they eat pretty healthy stuff.. not the super sweet, high sugar stuff that westerners eat.

  • i ALWAYS wondered why japanese foods are mostly

Fish/seafood and rice.. (well mostly anyway.. ) Well guess its healthier then a hamburger anyway lol

  • Demonboy1314: "i ALWAYS wondered.."

    Do you have to ask?

It's the same reason, British eats fish and chips all the time. It's surrounded by ocean all four sides, easiest way to get food is to catch a fish.

Not only fish, who else ate sea weed and sea kelp etc. before Japanese show it to the rest of the world?

If it's in the ocean they come up with a way to eat it, even poisonous fish.

    Talking about determination. ^_^

  • yay bentos!!! <3

  • I want some food like this in my Mini Market and with this price, it's costing some 1€56 for a plate like this O_o *_*

  • I miss them so much~ :(

  • same bro i can feel your pain :(
