makes 2 of us bro how i remem listenin to this on mushrooms seein things cummin out the speakers yello are fuckijn awesome they defined my drug fuck teenage years an i loved every min of it still luv um now wen im off me head!!!!
yup agree totally the audio to Yello is always a treat to the ears (and has been for awhile now,ya!!) CHEERS rjm the lyrics are froggy,eh! "she's Christine, she's sixteen,i'm her slave!!""
I always said that Boris Blank is the best electronic composer (and not only electronic, he can do everything he wants ..) In my opinion, his level is superior than Kraftwerk (even if it's absolutely no the same style).
36 years old now yet i remember listening to these guys back when i was 15yrs old. Yet many youth's think this is new lol. Old school always will pave the way.
Agreed. I recently purchased "The Eye" in a shop and the guy at the counter warned me that the album is going to sound contemporary. So, I went home and gave it a listen and realised that they've always had this sound and style. It's the electronic dance genre that is just now catching up with Yello.
i am young and thought i'v e heard about this guys years ago. It is because i am not ignorant as the youth's today. The real music is dying my friends
I used to take a copy of Alice Copper's Killer or Pink Floyd's Breathe to test a prospective sound system. Then I heard this...this will send chills through a salesman's spine.
I used to have a couple 15" subwoofers in my car, and this song was what I used to get people out of my car that I didn't want in it. The Bassline of the song is freaking amazing!
Oh yeh, timeless brilliance.

This duo from Switzerland was one of the best bands of the 1980s! Sadly, they are little known in the U.S.A. .

Yello are supersonic. This was one of their best and can destroy hifi systems even today. The depthwas incredible

I don't diss Kraftwerk.. They are one of the best electronic composers in the world.
But IMO Boris Blank is number one in music synthetis.
Finally they are not really comparable :)
I love Yello and Kraftwerk
Nobody died.

Yello was great....
That base sounds in "Blender" where able to blast away most Hifi-Systems of that time.

It's cool because this song was inspiration for the name Blender for the 3D program.

I'm an fucking fan of this group, so weird and imaginative...
But...
But this "track" seems to be "commercial" and at the same time "Yello", as they were fighting against the fatality of their need to survive...
R.I.P Yello, but I swear I HOPE I'm wrong...
Informatisse 2 years ago
Yello has indeed gone commercial with this song but if you have heard there other albums of them ... you'll know your wrong :-D.

This is art for the brain and for the ears but the death for the cubes (take it loud!!!). :)

Indeed Bizarre! This is pure art, But you need a big sound system to hear the every sound of the song.
zyanuK 3 years ago 4
Totally bizarre, but totally awesome. You must listen to it on a BIG sound system, ideally 5.1. Wow!
