hardcore is an escape from the all the shit this world brings on. its about getting out your aggressions in a safe place. its knowing what is important to you and not letting outside influence corrupt you. and like most of you have said it dosent matter if your straight edge or not. hardcore is for anyone who needs it.
Hardcore is great because it incorporates different people. So these arguments about people hating on others for not being or being straight edge are against the very essence of the hardcore genre. Accept all different lifestyles even if you don't see eye to eye. I see the hardcore scene as something that allows all people who listen to it to respect eachother for sharing the same taste in music and ideas, whether or not the do drugs.
I hate stoners that won't shut up about smoking, drinkers that won't shut about drinking, and pathetic edge fucks that won't shut up about being edge. The only thing that makes edge worse is their pompous sense of superiority.

Not everybody who uses is addicted. Have Heart is great though, I love this band and everything they stand for.
