I looked her up and was led to this video, but it says she was born in Ohio and grew up in Florida. I did remember seeing her on (what I thought was) Star Search.

danielle wasnt that great like her mom said. when she was 12 she was mediocre for a kid. of course she had talent but she wasnt anything special--she was just able to sing better than the rest of the kids on the show who could carry a single tune
