Can anyone asware my question please? when I try to charge docking (the dock is blinking green) , the sound disappears. but when I pull out the cord the sound automatically starts again. (the dock green all the time). it worked before, but soon when i tryed to use the aux to play sound from my samsung galaxy s2, it happend. help?

My Buddy has had this unit for awhile now and still works like new from regular usage. I don't know what this guy below bought or if he bought a refurbished unit [read carefully when ordering online Amazon etc.] This "IS" a good product. The battery life is dependent on how hard you drive the speakers. We [in our own studio office] have never done 8 hours unplugged. It has been unplugged and ran for quite awhile. But I wouldn't travel without a charger. Be realistic.

i went ahead and bought one of these. they are OKAY. should probably be $80 to $100, i paid $120. they are OKAY.. they don't go very loud, not as loud as I wanted. and taking case off of iphone and ipod everytime I want to use it is f*cking annoying and a design flaw. and sometimes I have to reconnect the ipod and connect it to get it to lock in. and yes the battery doesnt work for more than 40 minutes fully charged out of the box

Awesome purchase!... the battery last a long time, they sound great (lose a little sound when running on the battery), they don't weigh that much and the remote is very handy.

@able961 Bought one yesterday, totally worth the money. The bass is really good for that size and the sound qualite also pretty amazing. It is loud, I don't dare to have it at more than 1/3 of max sound because everyone else would kill me. At max sound you can make a small wind sound like there is a good damn storm inside the room.

I've heard it and it's great but honestly I prefer the altec Lansing mix because of it's extra features. This is still great and looks great too although yet again the the mix has 24 hour battery life, radio, and an actual LCD display with a customizable power on message .

You do realize that Altec Lansing Mix uses 8-D batteries? That costs about $15-20 for only 24 hours battery use? I am looking at the Altec Lansing Mix, Harmon Kardon Go-Play and this logitech speaker but I wouldn't get the Altec Lansing Mix if portability is a big issue and you will be using the batteries a lot.

Logitech should come up with a Li-ion battery version where the subwoofer system does not shut off. The decision needs to be upto the customer as to how long he wants to run it for on batteries.. 4 hrs or 8 hrs. Listening volumes can always be controlled.

It seems to me the Z623 you get more bang for the buck as Ipod Speakers seem to be overpriced compared to computer speakers. But I guess that is the harsh case of Ipod owners getting overcharged to have a dock. But this is probably the best deal for Ipod Dock on the market right now.

I just bought one of these units, the battery CAN be removed. There are 2 screws in the back, first thing I did was remove the battery because I will rarely use it unplugged. Actually I "unplugged" the battery and put it back in the unit so that I wouldn't lose it, it's a good design. Sound is good, comparable to the bose sounddock, only downfall of this unit is when the volume is turned up full blast and there is nothing playing there is a slight hiss.

Sometimes whilst recharging, the green light will go on after only 1.5 hours, which is meant to indicate it is fully charged, other times it will remain charging for 3 or more hours? It would be nice if the manufacturers/marketing would be very specific about the battery life and recharging procedure, as it mystifies me with it's temperamentality.

I just bought one of these speakers for my art studio. This thing really delivers. Seriously, it sounds shockingly good! Nice loud, crisp and clean sounds. I actually returned a few products before deciding on buying this portable guy. I returned the Logitech z515 and z305, spent a little more cash and got these. Glad I did it. :)

The two in the back are for bass but are not powered, they are passively powered from excess air produced by the powered speakers. There are two dedicated tweeters in front, top left & right corners, which are powered. There are also regular speakers right below those that are powered. The other two speakers in the front are again passively powered.
