@Beautifulmusiclistnr She talks about it in her autobiography. She never liked the physical scenes. She's a very delicate lady. Linda Evans, on the other hand, was a different type. She was very athletic and she enjoyed the fight scenes.

I'd say they didn't listen but I stopped watching regularly the last 2 seasons. I guess Joan gets bored with the rich bitch character but she knows it's brought her fame and fortune.
@pnyc1969 I enjoyed the show pretty much throughout the run of it, but I didn't watch too much the last couple of seasons either just because I was working and going to school. Joan's character did have a soft side, but it was rarely seen. You're correct though. It certainly brought her a lot of fame and fortune.

I love Alexis...she was the show...without her the show would have been boring.
Dynasty was the most viewed show on the planet, it was translated in dozens of foreign languages and reruns play every single day in different countries around the world.
I loved how the background actors reacted to the slap..even the maitre'd on the phone turns to see what happened. It was a great scene and a brief flicker of the quality Dynasty was known for.
Joans dress in this scene, btw, was worn by Connie Selleca on Hotel and was auctioned off on Ebay @ 2yrs ago.
I was and still am a HUGE DALLAS fan and my friend was a DYNASTY fan and in our senior yr when this season aired we defended those shows. How funny back then the way tv was. It's not liek that anymore. the true dramas are gone. too much paris hilton influence in todays shows. Not one has great characters to love anymore or hate.
That is some serious makeup!! I'd love to see it close up in person-(without floodlights and diffusion lenses)!! Joan's fabulous though, she never looked better.

To be verbs (is, were, am, ...) require subjective pronouns (he, she, I, we) -- not objective pronouns (him, her, me, us).
