hmmm, i'd have to say average review, it really only showed the guitar aspects of the game, not co-op, drums or anything else. Looks like a great game though.
This was the best guitarhero style game I've ever bought~ I'm a total Beatle fangirl :D I just wish I had a Rock Band drum kit... It's awkward to play the drum parts on a Guitar Hero kit @_@
The "interactive museum" elements of song progression and venue changes aren't new. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith did the same thing. I won't pretend that Aerosmith was nearly as important or has nearly the following that the Beatles did, but I don't think this game was that innovative.
This review was beautifully written. Derek has incredible eloquence, and the literary skill contained within his reviews is second to none amongst his peers on youtube now.
I just felt he deserved some recognition, after watching this review.
Definitely the best music game out there. I'm basically spoiled now. So glad Derek enjoyed this. And he didn't even touch on the amazing (albeit limited) DLC. Playing through the entire Sgt. Pepper album in one play through just feels amazing....and of course the entire ending suite off of Abbey Road.
Maybe I'm just a really picky Beatles fan but this game was underwhelming in my opinion. Too few songs, too little detail into the story, and gameplay that was basically Rock Band stuck on a glorified FMV. It's a fun game, but definitely disappointing to hardcore Beatles fans.
Now if only, with Harmonix's recent aquisition, Apple would get back in the program and allow a few more songs to be downloadable. I know they said not all songs would be available due to the various costs involved, but a Beatles game without Help!? C'mon guys. My personal dream is for them to release "It's All Too Much."
I'm not personally the biggest fan of it since the fadeout needs to come quicker if not done live, but I would think a lot of people would buy this game for Hey Jude.
@NeedForSpeedgamer24 They did? Except it was a just a track pack of 18 AC/DC songs from their live at donnington concert & that was it just 18 AC/DC songs & nothing else no career, no online, no character customisation & no history or representation of the band AC/DC
Loving the Beatles is a requirement for this game, though. I'm a casual Beatles fan so I enjoyed it, but personally I prefer the variety of bands and genres in a regular Rock Band game. Playing some Judas Priest then completely switching it up with some Talking Heads keeps things interesting.
this is simply without a doubt: the BEST rhythm game ever made. amazingly beautiful backgrounds and graphics, great gameplay, and some of the best music ever made on one disc. however, i can't play this anymore because all my instruments broke, and i don't have the money to buy new ones... :(

"this is to music games as Smash Bros. is to fighting games" ? so it's a horrible bastardization?

@KingDavid73 i think it was more along the lines of "it's a game that people of all skill levels can go into and have an absolute blast."

I still plan on getting this game. But Pink Floyd: Rock Band would be a hell of a lot better though.

Please use a bit less superlatives, it would make your reviews so much more down to earth - and with that more enjoyable, at least for me
In my opinion its weird to talk about a video game as if you would be in love with it, it makes it seem less objective.
Don't get me wrong, i seriously enjoy watching your reviews, that's why I take the time to criticize,
so thank you, you're the pinnacle of modern journalism, in a world of easy to forget wannabes (... see what i mean? it's just too much ;-)
