Now Republicans want to cut spending - pull $100B out of the economy which will stall and lengthen the recovery. The GOP has lots of ways to fuck up an economy as they have proved in the last ten years.
Why is it that every time the Republicans are in office for any length of time, tax payers end up having to bail out banks? Reagan with the S&L bailout in the 80s and Bush with TARP in 2008. The GOP is a bunch of fuckups and they're working to fuck up this recovery.
@plynth2 Boosh TARP, true, but how is this any different that 'stimulus' by Owebama?
Get real! this is no longer about red vs blue that gig is UP everyone knows its a phony shell game of blame. They are complicit in ruining sound monetary policy, horrid entitlement programs and even worse.... spreading those entitlements to corporations! (of all stripes) AND FOREIGNERS!
It's time to real in the blame-game. Buck up! Fascists and socialists both are repugnant to a constitutional republic.
If we have to spend at the same rate for the next 10 years, that would mean that private business never recovered, in which case the economy will have tanked.
I don't think its a requirement for governemnt to spend due to the recession. There is always the alternative of allowing many more jobs to be lost, don't pay unemployment benefits and let those people lose their homes, forcing small businesses to close because their customers are broke, which causes more layoffs, etc., etc.
You throw a lot of numbers around but they are not accurate and/or misleading. According to the CBO (CBO.gov), , healthcare reform will produce a $143B net reduction in the deficit over the next ten years.
Even using your whacky numbers, 4.2T over two years is 2.1 per year. Your number indicates that we will spend DOUBLE what we are now over the next 10 years-which is whacky. Together with the fact that the new budget has budget cuts of $100B a year on average over 10 years for $1.1T less.
Instead of a mandate, they could have a three year waiting period. You apply for Obamacare-pay an initiation fee- and three years later your covered and you start paying monthly.
If someone gets cancer in the meantime, they can always go to one of our fine private insurance companies to get coverage. Hahaha. See you in the obits.
The judicial system was put in place to protect the constitution. The federal judges deemed obama care unconstitutional. How funny is it , that obama and his cronies need to hire lawyers to appeal to the supreme courts. (i.e. hes taking the constitution to court) sorry obama you cant force or mandate the american citizens to buy anything. next!
apparently not enough huh? you guys are the ones with blindfolds on. this president has now spent more in 2 years than any president ever.4 trillion dollars in national debt. lets assume he wins a second term and continues with this trend that your so happy with. are you going to continue saying its bush's fault when obama finishes his 2 terms and the country has 26 trillion dollars in debt? Have youseen his new budget that involves over 40 trillion dollars in spending over the next 10 years?
@joeyhol75 The number I've seen is that it reduces spending by $1T over ten years. Your numbers are way out of whack. I suppose you thought there were Death Panels too.
@plynth2 my numbers are out of whack? the national debt in 2008 was 10 trillion. since then we have had an accumulation of 4 trillion in deficit spending. the national debt is now 14.2 trillion dollars. they are not "my numbers" my friend , they are facts. the reduction of 1 trillion in spending over the next ten years for the HC bill is by no means a "fact". its a prediction. and a terrrible one at that.
@joeyhol75 Your numbers are still out of whack. You said before that it was $40T in ten years and you also said its $4.2T in the last two years. And because of the recession, the last two years have required a big increase in gov't spending coupled with a big decrease in tax revenues making for a big deficit which is a temporary circomstance.. How do you get $40T in ten years? Your numbers are out of whack, that's how.
And the $1T reduction over 10 yrs was in Obama's new budget-not HCR.
so my numbers are out of whack. do you deny that our national debt was 10 trillion dollars when obama took office? if so , then what was it? do you deny that the national debt is now 14.2 trillion? if so, then what is it? do you deny that 14 minus 10 is 4??? thats how much deficit spending has occured in the last 2 years. which means if he was to continue this trend and served 8 years then he would single handedly put our nation in debt 16 trillion dollars.add that to the 10 he inherited is 26T!
40Trillion is how much spending is involved in his new budget over the coarse of the next ten years. there are plenty of reports about it. read into it. some sources have it 35 trillion , some 46 trillion.
p.s. who told you that it was a "requirment" to spent a lot of money due to the recesion? the dems and the obama admin? blahhahahaha. really? a trillion dollar HC bill will fix the economy? yeah because our country has never been in a recession before, right?
If u want to opt out go ahead by all means but when u lay dying in the hospital and these private insurance that u work all your life paying for finds a way not to cover your treatment don't come saying u want obamacare now.instead of repealing gun dealers and tabacco companies they want to repeal healthcare that's ironic.
@TheJayster571 You dont know anything about the health care bill or what is in it. Obama and the dems have lied about everything in it..... try reading the bill,, it is unconstitutional,, and doesn't deliver on anything that they say it does,, you can absolutely be denied for pre existing conditions,, and was writtien so that only certain companies would benefit,, and those companies are in the stocl portfolios of the lawmakers,, thats what the bill is about,, nothing else
@timytim4prez I'm thinking of becoming Amish to get out of obamacare. I'm too white to fake being an Indian, and don't really want to change my name to Ahmed Mohammed to get the Muslim exemption :-)
The government should pick up every American teenager that doesn't go to school and is just fooling around doing drugs and put them to work on a farm for free I think that would reduce crime and show some lazy youth work ethic
@sexisttroll what are u talking about let me tell u something my friend Cuba got better healthcare and is free can u believe that there is American citizens that don't have healthcare hospitals that dumps them in the streets tell me what's the republican plan for healthcare for all yep doesn't exist
Republicans ,9-11 enron , economy collapses , crooked banks , republican plan healthcare for every American citizen doesn't exist , Sara palin will u feel safe with these republican and their ideas look at majority speaker John boenher he cries all the time
@TheJayster571 what the hell are you talking about? as a libertarian/republican I can tell this obama care is just a way of expanding the government and destroy your freedoms. do you even know the consequences of this health care reform? the US already spends aprox 15% of its gdp which is the higher in all the western countries... and the cost of health care keeps rising thanks to that... our health care cost per capita is more than 7,000...
and thats without counting people with pre-condition... the cost of health will then increase even more... we are the country with the highest health care cost per capita in the western world... and we are the country with the highest government spending on health care in the western world too... and you want to increase the government spending?
EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.
In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:
As a member of an EXEMPT RELIGIOUS SECT or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe.”
@thenotsosilentmind "You can also choose not to participate in the modern health care system and not face any fines or punishment." WRONG! Not under obamacare you can't. Under his law everyone has to get it or face a fine. And then face the IRS if you don't pay the fine. Unless you are one of the 2.2 million people that has gotten a waiver.
If it is repealled then you are free to not particiate in the modern health care system.
Yeah, lets talk about insurance. Here in Florida, people paid into insurance for their homes for years, then suddenly insurance companies decide to drop their policy holders because they might lose to much from hurricane damage. So too bad for the home owners, these insurance companies have lobbiests who wine and dine the politicians and make favorable laws to make them rich. Sound familiar with this health care mandate?Oh, and lets make sure illegals are taken care of at our expense too.
@thenotsosilentmind Because you can choose not to drive a car. Walk, bike, car pool, bus, train, taxi etc. That is the states not the feds that do that. And you only need liability, its for the protection of 3rd parties you might injur.
The health care you have no choice. You either buy it or get fined. Then the IRS will be after you if you don't pay the fine. It is imposed on you just for being a citizen. Imagine the lowest policy going to $750/month mandatory, how will people handle that??
@thenotsosilentmind car insurance and home owners insurance etc....are regulated by states not the federal government! you are comparing apples and oranges. do you know the difference between federal and state governments?
Road is "public" property. It's required only you use it. It's an entrance fee for using public property. Is your body a property of government? no. So what do you not understand? Are you not intelligent enough??
Duhhhhhhh! How else could he rule? It's not rocket science.
Hopefully the congress can now defund this thing and put it to rest.
Those rat bastards that passed this legislation were absolutely non American. They were world class socialists of the first order. There should be a price to pay
2012 can not come soon enough. These rat bastards had their asses handed to them like someone getting outpatient liposuction surgery!
Either the Constitution stands......or we the people are going to fall. And i'm not falling. I'll uphold the constitution to the death! The last truly free nation under attack from within. Our founders warned us all.
I like how the white house came out and said this judge's decision was 'judiciary activism' while for the last two years through 'executive' and 'legislative activism' they have engaged in class warfare and social justice by way of felonious sedition and traitorous acts of financial terrorism.
Shoving healthcare down our throats isn't going to work. The will of the people will be heard and it will win. This despotic administrations act will not stand under our constitution, and as long as our constitution means something this law will be overturned. For now, it has been stopped.
Ask yourself if you think this is constitutional. It will tell you a lot about yourself. It will tell you how well educated you are. Extrapolate if you can to see what doors this opens for government to make decisions for you. To provide or withhold services for you. To control you in ways unimagined.
@TAMARLANE But I'm affraid I'm going to have to ask you about this lower quality comment of yours. You talk about Govt. control & withholding services. Take a look at what we got now, those insurance companies are straight out of hell. I've seen documentaries on TV about what they do to people. Some they let die. I know putting our money in Govt. hands is not safe, but I don't think they'll fuck around when it comes to care. You'll have mass prottests down therre.
@HemiHead66 hemi you are too much of a distraction. you have all day, as do I, to comment here, and nothing good ever comes of our discussions. I think I will just ignore you ramblings. They seem to get worse the closer to the bottom on the bottle.
@TAMARLANE Now there's the mean-streak I'm talking about. Good to have ya back Tammy. And I thought my last comment to you was a quality comment. I mean, come on, what insurance company ever gave a shit about anything more than it's bottom line?????
@HemiHead66 You seem to be sober enough for one more comment. ou need to learn to think outside tje cone dude. I agree that insurance companies, hospitals, doctors, attorneys have all screwed the system up while pointing fingers at each other. There are better ways to do this than either government run health care of the status quo.
@TAMARLANE Maybe! But I sure don't see anybody in Washington working on it. And it seems that none of these insurance companies want to see premiums get cheaper. When everybody get in, costs should go down, But they won't, they're going to start right where premiums are, and maybe rise a little slower. Maybe. Bad reform all the way around. I'd like to see insurance companies from all over the world compete.for our Biz.. Drug companies, too. None of those politicians want that free of a market.
@HemiHead66 There are people working on alternatives. Even in Washington. You haven't heard about them I guess. Retirement savings accounts and health care saving accounts. Look into them. The basic ideas are far superior to either of the alternatives you have discussed here.
@TAMARLANE Oh yeah, you must mean the Republicans. They think they're going to fix healthare with medical malpractice reform. And it isn't going to do squat except hand the elite more money. I'm amazed at willing you are to give up your rights. Republicans think Democrats are to cozy with lawyers. Like, do lawyers go out and make Doctors hack people up so they can sue? And the Repubs seem to think there are millions of bogus cases being filed. Go do the research. They're full of shit.
@HemiHead66 Republiocans? There you go again. Still sober?
HERE WAS and * hour series on night line a few years back< Ted Koppel narrating, that showed the relationships between the insurance companies, the doctors, the hospitals (corporations) and the lawyers. Each of them pointing the finger at the other for the spiraling costs of healthcare. Until you are aware of the causes of health care cost increases I don't want to debate it with you. All you want to do is blame Republicans
@TAMARLANE I know the reasons for HC cost increases, our HC system sucks. By the way, I don't believe I said anything about all the different parts of HC that might or might not raise costs, just the rise in costs from lawsuits. And I'm not talking about what you could save by screwing people with legit claims, only bogus lawsuits. And bogus lawsuits are not the reason for out of control HC costs. Repubs wanna put a cap on yur life. And their real goal is taking out Dems campaign contributors.
@HemiHead66 You are stuck on stupid, hemi. This is not about reps vs dems. THAT IS way too simplistic> it is about delivering health care in an efficient and cost responsible manner.
@TAMARLANE Don't worry Tammy, I won't sink to the bottom of the barrel where the muck is & insult you. Yes it is about Left and Right. I'll explain it to you. There's no Left and Right when it comes to the big picture. But when it comes to social issues, or anything that takes money away from the bigger picture, Dems & Repubs are at war. You take a good look at what the Repubs vote for, and against. They didn't give a shit about the 9,11 1st responders HC, and they don't giv a shit about ours.
@HemiHead66 You remind me of my granddaughters, public school educated. who say democrats are for the poor and republicans are for the rich. lol learned it from my social studies teacher, they say. I would think you fit in there somewhere. They are 10 and 12 years old so r u
@TAMARLANE Ha Ha Ha, Woooo ha, you sure are funny, Tammy! I never said anything about the Democrats being for the poor. If you look around at some of my prior comments, you see that my exact words about Dems were, they throw the people a bone once and awhile. By the way, I never went to school. My father pulled me from catholic school in the 4th grade cuz nuns were beating the shit out of me. Got thrown out of public school 2 years later. Then made it through 8th grade in a school for derelicts.
@TAMARLANE Some things you just have to do on your own. And after getting a taste of what those Nuns had up their sleeve, getting an education was one of them.
@HemiHead66 I'm on wifi. I am using a 1995 vintage dell computer with windows 98. lol
It isn't all about repubs vs dems anymore. there is a new guy in town. independents. especially those issue oriented conservative leaning independents who decided the last election. No real leadership. Just a grass roots, feel it in your gut, movement to shrink the size of government and spend less and tax less. simple.
more individual responsibility and less nanny state.
@TAMARLANE OK, let's add all these proposals up. Conservatives want to eliminate the minimum wage, have people save for retirement and healthcare costs. Why not add auto, home owners, and every other kind of insurance to that list? It adds up to tens of millions of people either going broke or dying because of an inability to pay for health care, and either starving in their working years or starving in their retirement years. That doesn't add up to "superior" to me.
@TAMARLANE You are the one who can't add. I can easily imagine a couple of kids getting married, they have pretty good jobs making $12 an hour - $48K per year, save for ten years for a down payment on a house, buy the house, put aside $5K in a heatlh savings account, have a child via c-section, get hospital bill of $35K, sell house to pay the bill, have another child, no c-section, hosptal bill is $15K, they're ruined. College tuition? Not gonna happen. Retirement savings? Not gonna happen.
@TAMARLANE I would say that they are much more typical than exceptional, wouldn't you? 50% of households earn $50K or less. There is nothing exceptional about this scenario. Having children alone would cause these families extreme hardship such that saving for retirement or a house would be impossible. And this wcenario does not include any other heatlh issues that might arise.
@plynth2 If everyone were as typical as you say this hypothetical family is, where would the money come from then to help them buy a home, have children, and retire with some retirement income?
@TAMARLANE The same way they do now-they won't have pay for health care out of pocket when they are having children which is the time of their life when their household incomes are low. Having children was by far the biggest healthcare demand I ever put on the system. In my 30s. 40s and 50s I have put very little demand on it which goes to fund those who need it, like our young family.
@plynth2 You didn't answer my question. Who pays for them under the scenario you describe. Do you feel the costs for medical care are appropriate for c=section and hospitalization?
@plynth2 If you divide the total cost of health care the way it is done now, by the number of people paying for it with insurance policy premiums you fall short. Way short. If the average family will consist of 4 people all having illnesses and accidents and finally needs like transplants replacements and assisted living etc, the costs are too high for everyone to have equal care. Won't work.
The rent is too damned high. HC costs are artificially high.
@plynth2 We must reduce the amount of money we spend for HC. Doctors fees are too high. Hospital fees are too high. Insurance company fees are too high. Lawyer fees are too high. Government intervention costs too much in corrpution and one size fits all stupid laws.
People go to the doctor too often for reasons that are not sound. This drives the cost up too.
There are ideas out there to fix/change all this, but getting it done is extremely difficult to impossible because of politics.
I suggest you step back and think about this, in the BIG picture for awhile.
Is this really about health care? I don't think so. Adding 10s of millions of people to a system that will have much less money and rely on less qualified practitioners is not about improving health care. No.
Is this about power, and transforming America? Is it about redistributing wealth? Yes. it will fail at both of those goals too, but in the process it will destroy much of our comity and wealth.
why has the white house given out over 200 waivers to hand picked companies and unions who thanks to the white house now don't have to follow the "law". if its bad for them why won't it be bad for other companies???
@PatricksTime BO has been busy, they have added over 500 waivers to groups/companies, total now well over 700 waivers (over 2.2 million people and counting) from obamacare. Unions getting them left and right. Funny, unions spent millions to help him get obamacare passed and now they are lining up at the trough to get waivers from it :-) And they are getting it.
They pulled out because it wasn't going to be profitable, all about the dollar my man. They allow you to cover kids until 26 now and doing away with caps on policies, they can't make the money they want.
Obama's argument with the mandate (heart of supreme court fight) is everyone must participate in order to make it work. Then they grant waivers so people don't participate. huh??? Over 2 million people waivered and counting. For this to work, it won't, 1 waiver is too many.
it is Unconstitutional. Dumb asses will call you a dumb ass for saying this, but then again, that is the usual retort when you say make it voluntary, not mandatory, because the liberal can't stand facts, just rhetoric
A judge in Florida on Mon became the second judge to declare Obama's healthcare reform law unconstitutional, in the biggest legal challenge yet to fed authority to enact the law. This Obama needs to GO... I have never seen a more lazy president in the White House. But he sure likes the party's I can't wait till hes' gone.
Just add a few dependents on your W=2. Cut the money going to the government. Settle up later.
When this gets big enough, the government will either slow down on spending, or show its' true colors and just create money out of thin air. WHEN that happens< we will be justified in going to the streets to demand the government stand down, like in Egypt
.
I am a little ahead of the curve on this. I say take to the streets NOW and throw these bums out.
American people are no longer innocent. They have seen what our
leaders do. They have seen many in positions of responsibility
and power in our government who are scofflaws, who do not pay
their taxes. There will be a great tax revolt when the government
overreaches. When the government oversteps its' mandate and begins to RULE THE PEOPLE , rather than serve the people~~~when that happens the great TAX REVOLT WILL BEGIN. Actually, it has already begun.
Deport the illegals who are draining the system and closing down hospitals if you want real health care reform. Tort reform would solve a lot of ills, too. This obammy care fiasco is a bad nightmare, so get rid of it.
F' it maybe it's time to let the deadbeats & family members as who refuse to take care of themselves & family just die? What's constitutional about making the rest of us to pay for their care?
@Diazt3r Will you wash off that thumb before you do this, right after you take it out of your ass? Just lick it off the way you usually do, that should work.
Amazing that people still think Obama is concerned about Americans. That he has good intentions. That he is a good President. He is a monster. He is interested in ONE thing. TRANSFORMING AMERICA INTO A MARXIST COUNTRY, AND REDISTRIBUTING THE WEALTH. The most destructive President this country has ever had. He will lose, but he will cause a lot of damage before we remove him from office. Why wait. Go into the streets and demand a recall now .Throw these bums out.
You watch too much bad TV, get off the couch and experience reality and/or move to a third world country, you'll love it there, no middle class, the ruling class has 99% of the wealth, etc, etc. Its a right wing conservative paradise. Its funny how reputards get even angrier when unemployment drops, the stock market climbs, it makes sense though, less people over a barrel=sad republican, wahh!
@SpigaloProductions Typical lib.Your arrogant ignorance fails you completely. Your analysis of me is completely wrong. But then, I suspect your entire worldview is wrong. Probably the result of abject ignorance or public schooling.
@TAMARLANE Be afraid! Be really afraid of Republican! You have no other choice after bumping out Obama. Who is your other choice rather than Republicans? Bush/Chenny/Rice again, are you kidding? I would say kick Hilary Clinton/Robert Gates out first so we can really save some money from the contract wars and military.
@beancube2010 You say we have no other choice but Republicans or Obama and company.
I say you are wrong. Are you not aware of the movement that replaced the current democrats and republicans from office? Are you blind to the independent voters who rule now? We have a 4 party system now. WE have R or D or TPR or TPD.
@SpigaloProductions You are spreading misinformation. That is not how the left and right is defined. I suppose you think Hitler was "right wing" huh? let me straighten you out. Total government control is the left side of the spectrum, no government control is anarchy, also called the right. In the middle you will find something like a Republic that has elected officials.
Please stop misusing the term "right wing" when referring to tyrants, dictator and richy, because it is misleading.
@dlucas90 You're half right. The Third Reich is a genetic mutation from both sides. The Nazi Socialist party was, yes, a socialist form of government but it's purpose was to ween out the races Hitler deemed unworthy as we all know. Socialism in Nazi Germany was to benefit a purified German race; this kind of political action and Hitler's Fascist views are considered a far-right concept. You cannot compare liberals, Marxists, or even conservatives to Hitler as it's just incorrect.
@TreyParkersBitch It is commonly believed to be right wing but that is a myth encouraged by the progressive left to distance themselves from Fascism. In fact its left wing as fascism is of the left Mussolini was a Socialist brought up on Das Kapital and was admired by the early progressive liberals in Britain and America Woodrow Wilson was a influence on Hitler and Mussolini a racist supporter of Eugenics
@TAMARLANE You caught me right as I was about to shut down and go to bed. Once again you are half right. I got my knowledge from historians and it has nothing to do with the right or the left. Comparing Obama and liberals to Hitler is absurd as it is comparing to conservatives. The Third Reich was a freak mutation from both sides; the left with total government control and the right with political movement to purify the German race. Fascism is noted by scholars as a far-right concept.
It is commonly believed to be right wing but that is a myth encouraged by the progressive left to distance themselves from Fascism. In fact its left wing as fascism is of the left Mussolini was a Socialist brought up on Das Kapital and was admired by the early progressive liberals in Britain and America

@TAMARLANE I disagree entirely-the left wingers in this country are not trying to exterminate groups of people like Hitler's Nazi Germany did. You cannot tie 'Socialism' into this as that is the right wing's way of trying to promote false truths about the left. The Third Reich should never be mentioned as neither side can accurately be tied to it. That's it I'm kicked. Goodnight.
@TreyParkersBitch . People think because Hitler was nationalist he was right wing this is absurd nonsense he was for socialism for the Germans he despised the upper class and hated Judeo Christianity preferring a more pagan belief system he pretended to get on with the Catholic Church for convenience.
@TreyParkersBitch The real right is Social Conservatism or Classical Liberalism which supports a small state and common law some prefer to encourage faith but usually respect choice in such matters They despise totalitarianism whatever way its packaged and a surveillance society.
@TreyParkersBitch This is totally at odds with the left which seem to love and argue for a nanny state and love charismatic leaders much closer to the Fascist ideal.. Look at history (not the Marxist revised rubbish though) for once and not parrot "progressive" left propaganda
@TAMARLANE Like I said it was a freak mutation and there is no explanation for it. Hitler HATED liberals and Marxists as much as he hated conservatives-he viewed individual thinking as a threat to his reign. Hitler did not believe in individual freedom AT ALL which both right and left wing sides believe in. I did read your response; I'm sorry but overall knowledge disagrees-Fascism is a far right concept. I wouldn't even go far as to call George W. Bush a Nazi as it's simply incorrect.
@TreyParkersBitch Discribing hitlers TOTAL government control over as being "a freak mutation" is as silly as saying that people on the right are idetified by them having tiny square mustaches.
Only misinformationalists want to have ill-defined terms, so that nothing can be accomplished by discusing them.
@dlucas90 I didn't describe Hitler's "TOTAL government control"-I was talking about the entire Third Reich which is, I don't know how else to explain it, a mutation of ideals from both the left and the right. Socialism is an idea from the left which is what Hitler dictated but his political actions upon the people (Aryan Nation) come from the far right. I find both conservatives and liberals very silly when they accuse the other side of being Nazis as Hitler hated them both.
@TreyParkersBitch Yes, the entire third Reich is left. If it makes you feel any better guys like Bush 1 and 2 are also leftists also, if you judge them by their stance towards big govt./big business . Anyone who advocates for total govt. control is a leftists by definition. Big business and big govt. are one in the same and hte partisans are doing there best to disguise this fact.
@dlucas90 You're half right. Total gov't control is communist-not socialist. But there aren't any politicians that are for total gov't control so your point is moot. Then again, fascism is on the far opposite extreme of the political spectrum from communism. If your definition of the left is fascist, then, by your definition, the right is communist. You have everything assbackwards.
@dlucas90 You have defined fascism as leftist because of one criterion, and even at that, you incorrectly assert that fascists had total control. It's like saying that women have small noses, WC had a small nose, so WC Fields was a woman. You ignore the numerous other criteria that go into a correct identication and the one you do use is not even correct.
@plynth2 It was not my intention to define facisim, rather, my intention was to define the political spectrum in terms of what is on the left side of the spectrum and what is on the right side of the spectrum. Fascisim is a form of govt. that leans to the left side of the spectrum because it is closer to a form of total govt. control than it is to no govt. control.
@dlucas90 Anti Communist and anti-Marxist Powerful and continuing nationalism Disdain for the recognition of human rights. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause Supremacy of the military. Rampant sexism. Controlled mass media. Religion and government are intertwined. Corporate power is protected. Labor power is suppressed. Disdain for intellectuals and the arts. Obsession with crime and punishment. Rampant cronyism and corruption Fraudulent elections.
@dlucas90 The characteristics of fascism listed correspond closely with those of the right wing. A few of them could apply to most any position, but taken together (not simply the degree of control) they point to the right wing. For the entire history since WW II, fascism has been considered very extreme right wing and its just in the last couple of years (Glenn Beck "scholars") that anyone has called it leftist. The Germans themselves indentify fascism as extreme right wing.
Regardless of any good intentions, the bill is really too divisive for the country not to pull it back and rework it. Adding to the destructive nature of it is the 'you have to buy or else...' I'm still amazed at that. Can't they see how easy it would be to abuse this?
If the President believed that these cases didn't have merit, he would save our country time and money by escalting this to the supreme court. It will end up there no matter what happens in the lower courts, so escalte it. Of course if he thinks he and his law are unconstitutional, let it be dragged out and waste time and money.
Meanwhile back on the ground, announcement of 40% of Americans are now on food stamps while 7 million USD a DAY of taxpayers money is GIVEN to Israel!!!! Hidden Agenda?? You better believe it.
High Treason is the crime of betraying ones own country and putting the welfare of another country before your own. Grounds to indict American congress and President who is an imposter at that, See the obama deception full length version
This is an activist Judge. Most states force drivers to purchase libility insurance or they don't have the right to drive. Then libility laws should be unconstitutional as well.
Let's mandate that all persons should be forced to purchase a gun and also a bible! It makes as much sense as mandating that we have to buy obamacare.
@sporkfire like I said a old Anglo judge that still thinks he's still living in the 1930's this is future my friend things gotta change is not white America anymore is the united states we are all in the same bubble now is not about the left or right or up and down is about the human thing to do every American citizen should have decent healthcare now that's so racist
You know what's funny, those prick Republicans think mandatory healthcare is illegal, but taking away our right to fair compensation when some hack Doctor butchers the shit outta ya, isn't. Fair compensation, out of the question! 11 million a year paycheck for their big-shot healthcare crony friends, if fully justified.
what should be made unconstitutional is the right continuing to fleece the middle class of their hard earned money by virtue of giving themselves the lion's share of tax breaks.
@chingon711 Yup, every time we turn around we're being robbed. Now they're looking to get away with the 4 1/2 trillion they stole from Social Seccurity and Medicare, so they can continue funding all their friends that are tied to the Military Industrial Complex.
The same logic applies to Social Security Numbers. As much as they try to feign otherwise, SSN is voluntary federal government ran retirement insurance plan. No one has to pay any FICA taxes in theory, but of course might makes right: the feds have very big guns :-)
Or, what if congress says they have determined the sun causes skin cancer, and to regulate the costs of commerce of skin cancer, everyone is now mandated to wear a wide brimed hat. Sounds stupid, but it could be done if this law stands. We don't want our government anywhere near the power to do these types of things. And it doesn't have anything to do with heath care. Imagine what a far right or far left administration could do with the ability to declare anything "commerce" and force it on us.
@Mr59strat A helmet is mandated, to ride a Motorcycle, A child seat is mandated when transporting children. There are many things mandated in America most have to do with Safety. When Black People could not stay in White only hotels, or find Colored only resturants or establishments. The right of serving patrons was trumped by the Commerce clause as Private Businessess delt with MONEY which is Federal. Therefore denying Black People's Money interfered with the Commerce Clause.
@nandansho For safety, yes. But everyone is not mandated to buy a motorcycle (your choice) just because they are a citizen, or be punished by the Feds. Or you aren't mandated to have children (your choice) or be punished by the Feds just because you are a citizen. But the Feds want to force you to buy a product (obamacare) or you WILL be punished by fines. The commerce clause handles interstate ACTIVITY. They are trying to regulate INACTIVITY, you sit home on your couch, do nothing you're fined
@Mr59strat Do you know how many People who don't have Health Insurance live in America? 40-50 Million. Those people clog emergency rooms and take time away from serious EMERGENCYs.Nothing is perfect, This Country is behind Socialist Country's in Education and HealthCare. Those 40-50 Million uninsured are allready a burden on Government they need insurance, I want the Public Option.
@nandansho You got that right! I don't care if we have socialist healthcare, it's better than paying double the world for the same or less healthcare. Those A-rabs in the Middle East have better HC than us. The only thing we do good is emergency care.
@PatricksTime Oh I get it, you're one of those people that like to keep the scumbag insurance companies in their lavish lifestyle. And that's because they take such good care of you? I'll bet you really like the way they dump ya after 20 years of paying out the ass when you get sick. Then jack-up your rates so high that you couldn't continue coverage if they didn't dump ya. I've got an idea, why don't you pay for my healthcare?
@HemiHead66 get a job and pay for your own healthcare! i have broken my leg and had two surgeries along with brain surgery all of which my insurance paid for...
currently in a risk pool and i pay 513 monthly and have no concerns they will drop me for anything...it was 353 before the law was passed!!!
why has the white house given out over 200 waivers to hand picked companies and unions who now don't have to follow the law. if its bad for them why won't it be bad for other companies???
@PatricksTime I've been paying out the ass for HC my whole life. And It'll be a cold day in hell before you catch me paying 500 a month for HC. Nobody can afford that shit anymore, all our jobs are in China. And you don't even know what socialist healthcare is about. We should be paying for healthcare through taxes on things we buy and stuff, and have everybody covered. Everybody spends money, so everyone is kicking in. And I don't know about waivers. But nobody's gonna get off the hook.

@TAMARLANE This can't be the Tammy that I know. Did something happen to that mean-streak of yours? That comment you sent me was so nice, I'm about to cry.
@HemiHead66 from the hhs.gov site you will find this info in regards to waivers...
As of today, a total of 733 waivers have been granted for 2011. Over 500 waivers were granted in December. While the number of approved waivers increased by more than 200 percent, the total number of enrollees in plans receiving waivers has increased by only 48 percent since the previous posting.
and don't tell me i don't know what socialist healthcare is about...it will not work here!!! it doesn't work period
@PatricksTime Yeah, it won't work here because this is the land of greed. Its just amazing how you don't see anything wrong with this country having healthcare premiums twice as high as everywhere else. And for the same or less healthcare. Those other countries don't have to worry about meeting growth projections to keep their stock price from the shitter. Do ya know how the stockmarket works? No profit is hi enough, every Qtr. has to be higher. And on waivers, show me Obama's given them a pass
"Helping Americans Keep the Coverage They Have and Promoting Transparency" you will find the white house aka obama has granted hundreds of waivers...get a clue!
@PatricksTime Thanks for that information. I have gone beyond considering the minutiae . All the trivial matters that add up to one big failure in our government. Transcend this minutiae and go to the streets. Demand the Obama administration step down before it is too late. Impeach Obama.
@PatricksTime Jeez, I can't believe you people are pushing this waiver crap. And you, telling me to look it up like something Obama did was bad. Right on the page where you told me to go it says clear as day what the waivers are for. Unless you don't know how to read. But you know how to type, so ya know how to read. Maybe you should look up Helping Americans Keep the Coverage They Have and Promoting Transparency. and read it again! I think you knew what it meant all along, ya just wanna bitch.
@HemiHead66 google...Helping Americans Keep the Coverage They Have and Promoting Transparency!!! the white house is hand picking companies that don't have to follow the law!

The GOP is a bunch of fuckups and they're working to fuck up this recovery.
plynth2 1 year ago

There is always the alternative of allowing many more jobs to be lost, don't pay unemployment benefits and let those people lose their homes, forcing small businesses to close because their customers are broke, which causes more layoffs, etc., etc.
plynth2 1 year ago
You throw a lot of numbers around but they are not accurate and/or misleading. According to the CBO (CBO.gov), , healthcare reform will produce a $143B net reduction in the deficit over the next ten years.
Even using your whacky numbers, 4.2T over two years is 2.1 per year. Your number indicates that we will spend DOUBLE what we are now over the next 10 years-which is whacky. Together with the fact that the new budget has budget cuts of $100B a year on average over 10 years for $1.1T less.
plynth2 1 year ago
Instead of a mandate, they could have a three year waiting period. You apply for Obamacare-pay an initiation fee- and three years later your covered and you start paying monthly.
If someone gets cancer in the meantime, they can always go to one of our fine private insurance companies to get coverage. Hahaha. See you in the obits.

The judicial system was put in place to protect the constitution. The federal judges deemed obama care unconstitutional. How funny is it , that obama and his cronies need to hire lawyers to appeal to the supreme courts. (i.e. hes taking the constitution to court) sorry obama you cant force or mandate the american citizens to buy anything. next!
joeyhol75 1 year ago
@joeyhol75 Federal judges ALSO ruled that Obamacare IS constitutional. Didn't Fox Cult tell you that? No, I suppose they wouldn't.
plynth2 1 year ago
apparently not enough huh? you guys are the ones with blindfolds on. this president has now spent more in 2 years than any president ever.4 trillion dollars in national debt. lets assume he wins a second term and continues with this trend that your so happy with. are you going to continue saying its bush's fault when obama finishes his 2 terms and the country has 26 trillion dollars in debt? Have youseen his new budget that involves over 40 trillion dollars in spending over the next 10 years?
joeyhol75 1 year ago
@joeyhol75 The number I've seen is that it reduces spending by $1T over ten years. Your numbers are way out of whack. I suppose you thought there were Death Panels too.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 my numbers are out of whack? the national debt in 2008 was 10 trillion. since then we have had an accumulation of 4 trillion in deficit spending. the national debt is now 14.2 trillion dollars. they are not "my numbers" my friend , they are facts. the reduction of 1 trillion in spending over the next ten years for the HC bill is by no means a "fact". its a prediction. and a terrrible one at that.
joeyhol75 1 year ago
@joeyhol75 Your numbers are still out of whack. You said before that it was $40T in ten years and you also said its $4.2T in the last two years. And because of the recession, the last two years have required a big increase in gov't spending coupled with a big decrease in tax revenues making for a big deficit which is a temporary circomstance.. How do you get $40T in ten years? Your numbers are out of whack, that's how.
And the $1T reduction over 10 yrs was in Obama's new budget-not HCR.
plynth2 1 year ago
so my numbers are out of whack. do you deny that our national debt was 10 trillion dollars when obama took office? if so , then what was it? do you deny that the national debt is now 14.2 trillion? if so, then what is it? do you deny that 14 minus 10 is 4??? thats how much deficit spending has occured in the last 2 years. which means if he was to continue this trend and served 8 years then he would single handedly put our nation in debt 16 trillion dollars.add that to the 10 he inherited is 26T!
joeyhol75 1 year ago
40Trillion is how much spending is involved in his new budget over the coarse of the next ten years. there are plenty of reports about it. read into it. some sources have it 35 trillion , some 46 trillion.
p.s. who told you that it was a "requirment" to spent a lot of money due to the recesion? the dems and the obama admin? blahhahahaha. really? a trillion dollar HC bill will fix the economy? yeah because our country has never been in a recession before, right?

For the Governors of the 26 states involved in the Federal Court decision,
Unconstitutional = Unconstitutional. (until and only if the decision is
overturned can it be law)
The lack of an injunction does NOT make the Obama Government Health Care Take
Over constitutional.
Governors, if you allow any taxpayer money to be spent, in your state, on the
unconstitutional law, you should re-evaluate your oath of office.
The decisions stands unless it be changed by the appeal process, not until.

Sexisttroll 1 year ago
and thats without counting people with pre-condition... the cost of health will then increase even more... we are the country with the highest health care cost per capita in the western world... and we are the country with the highest government spending on health care in the western world too... and you want to increase the government spending?

The post below is from "Senate Bill, H.R. 3590, pages 273-274" (Obamacare)
I was digging into this and the "exempt religous sect" is defined from social security definitions and exempts the following from obamacare:
-Amish
-American Indian
-Christian Science
-Muslim
and whomever else's religion doesn't believe in insurance.
Also BO, Biden,Reid, Pelosi and get this....the staffers who wrote the law.... exempted themselves from obamacare.

@thenotsosilentmind I applied that comment after reading this comment of yours:
Yes, I know the difference between federal and state government. You do know that state law has to abide by the constitution, too... right?
In other words, nullification can replace state law abiding by federal law.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@thenotsosilentmind Do you know about "nullification" mentioned in the US Constitution?
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@thenotsosilentmind Because you can choose not to drive a car. Walk, bike, car pool, bus, train, taxi etc. That is the states not the feds that do that. And you only need liability, its for the protection of 3rd parties you might injur.
The health care you have no choice. You either buy it or get fined. Then the IRS will be after you if you don't pay the fine. It is imposed on you just for being a citizen. Imagine the lowest policy going to $750/month mandatory, how will people handle that??

HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 You seem to be sober enough for one more comment. ou need to learn to think outside tje cone dude. I agree that insurance companies, hospitals, doctors, attorneys have all screwed the system up while pointing fingers at each other. There are better ways to do this than either government run health care of the status quo.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE Maybe! But I sure don't see anybody in Washington working on it. And it seems that none of these insurance companies want to see premiums get cheaper. When everybody get in, costs should go down, But they won't, they're going to start right where premiums are, and maybe rise a little slower. Maybe. Bad reform all the way around. I'd like to see insurance companies from all over the world compete.for our Biz.. Drug companies, too. None of those politicians want that free of a market.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 There are people working on alternatives. Even in Washington. You haven't heard about them I guess. Retirement savings accounts and health care saving accounts. Look into them. The basic ideas are far superior to either of the alternatives you have discussed here.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE Oh yeah, you must mean the Republicans. They think they're going to fix healthare with medical malpractice reform. And it isn't going to do squat except hand the elite more money. I'm amazed at willing you are to give up your rights. Republicans think Democrats are to cozy with lawyers. Like, do lawyers go out and make Doctors hack people up so they can sue? And the Repubs seem to think there are millions of bogus cases being filed. Go do the research. They're full of shit.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 Republiocans? There you go again. Still sober?
HERE WAS and * hour series on night line a few years back< Ted Koppel narrating, that showed the relationships between the insurance companies, the doctors, the hospitals (corporations) and the lawyers. Each of them pointing the finger at the other for the spiraling costs of healthcare. Until you are aware of the causes of health care cost increases I don't want to debate it with you. All you want to do is blame Republicans
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE I know the reasons for HC cost increases, our HC system sucks. By the way, I don't believe I said anything about all the different parts of HC that might or might not raise costs, just the rise in costs from lawsuits. And I'm not talking about what you could save by screwing people with legit claims, only bogus lawsuits. And bogus lawsuits are not the reason for out of control HC costs. Repubs wanna put a cap on yur life. And their real goal is taking out Dems campaign contributors.
HemiHead66 1 year ago
@HemiHead66 You are stuck on stupid, hemi. This is not about reps vs dems. THAT IS way too simplistic> it is about delivering health care in an efficient and cost responsible manner.

You take a good look at what the Repubs vote for, and against. They didn't give a shit about the 9,11 1st responders HC, and they don't giv a shit about ours.

TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE OK, let's add all these proposals up. Conservatives want to eliminate the minimum wage, have people save for retirement and healthcare costs. Why not add auto, home owners, and every other kind of insurance to that list? It adds up to tens of millions of people either going broke or dying because of an inability to pay for health care, and either starving in their working years or starving in their retirement years. That doesn't add up to "superior" to me.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 You can't add I guess.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE You are the one who can't add. I can easily imagine a couple of kids getting married, they have pretty good jobs making $12 an hour - $48K per year, save for ten years for a down payment on a house, buy the house, put aside $5K in a heatlh savings account, have a child via c-section, get hospital bill of $35K, sell house to pay the bill, have another child, no c-section, hosptal bill is $15K, they're ruined. College tuition? Not gonna happen. Retirement savings? Not gonna happen.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 Would you say this is a typical family, or an exceptional family?
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE I would say that they are much more typical than exceptional, wouldn't you? 50% of households earn $50K or less. There is nothing exceptional about this scenario. Having children alone would cause these families extreme hardship such that saving for retirement or a house would be impossible. And this wcenario does not include any other heatlh issues that might arise.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 If everyone were as typical as you say this hypothetical family is, where would the money come from then to help them buy a home, have children, and retire with some retirement income?
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE The same way they do now-they won't have pay for health care out of pocket when they are having children which is the time of their life when their household incomes are low. Having children was by far the biggest healthcare demand I ever put on the system. In my 30s. 40s and 50s I have put very little demand on it which goes to fund those who need it, like our young family.

@plynth2 You didn't answer my question. Who pays for them under the scenario you describe. Do you feel the costs for medical care are appropriate for c=section and hospitalization?
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE Who pays are all the policy holders. Is the cost appropriate? Define appropriate. State your point.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 If you divide the total cost of health care the way it is done now, by the number of people paying for it with insurance policy premiums you fall short. Way short. If the average family will consist of 4 people all having illnesses and accidents and finally needs like transplants replacements and assisted living etc, the costs are too high for everyone to have equal care. Won't work.
The rent is too damned high. HC costs are artificially high.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@plynth2 We must reduce the amount of money we spend for HC. Doctors fees are too high. Hospital fees are too high. Insurance company fees are too high. Lawyer fees are too high. Government intervention costs too much in corrpution and one size fits all stupid laws.
People go to the doctor too often for reasons that are not sound. This drives the cost up too.
There are ideas out there to fix/change all this, but getting it done is extremely difficult to impossible because of politics.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
I suggest you step back and think about this, in the BIG picture for awhile.
Is this really about health care? I don't think so. Adding 10s of millions of people to a system that will have much less money and rely on less qualified practitioners is not about improving health care. No.
Is this about power, and transforming America? Is it about redistributing wealth? Yes. it will fail at both of those goals too, but in the process it will destroy much of our comity and wealth.
Impeach Obama.

why has the white house given out over 200 waivers to hand picked companies and unions who thanks to the white house now don't have to follow the "law". if its bad for them why won't it be bad for other companies???
PatricksTime 1 year ago
@PatricksTime BO has been busy, they have added over 500 waivers to groups/companies, total now well over 700 waivers (over 2.2 million people and counting) from obamacare. Unions getting them left and right. Funny, unions spent millions to help him get obamacare passed and now they are lining up at the trough to get waivers from it :-) And they are getting it.
Mr59strat 1 year ago
They pulled out because it wasn't going to be profitable, all about the dollar my man. They allow you to cover kids until 26 now and doing away with caps on policies, they can't make the money they want.
Obama's argument with the mandate (heart of supreme court fight) is everyone must participate in order to make it work. Then they grant waivers so people don't participate. huh??? Over 2 million people waivered and counting. For this to work, it won't, 1 waiver is too many.

They have seen what our

overreaches. When the government oversteps its' mandate and begins to RULE THE PEOPLE , rather than serve the people~~~when that happens the great TAX REVOLT WILL BEGIN. Actually, it has already begun.

Please stop misusing the term "right wing" when referring to tyrants, dictator and richy, because it is misleading.
dlucas90 1 year ago
@dlucas90 You're half right. The Third Reich is a genetic mutation from both sides. The Nazi Socialist party was, yes, a socialist form of government but it's purpose was to ween out the races Hitler deemed unworthy as we all know. Socialism in Nazi Germany was to benefit a purified German race; this kind of political action and Hitler's Fascist views are considered a far-right concept. You cannot compare liberals, Marxists, or even conservatives to Hitler as it's just incorrect.
TreyParkersBitch 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch It is commonly believed to be right wing but that is a myth encouraged by the progressive left to distance themselves from Fascism. In fact its left wing as fascism is of the left Mussolini was a Socialist brought up on Das Kapital and was admired by the early progressive liberals in Britain and America Woodrow Wilson was a influence on Hitler and Mussolini a racist supporter of Eugenics
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE You caught me right as I was about to shut down and go to bed. Once again you are half right. I got my knowledge from historians and it has nothing to do with the right or the left. Comparing Obama and liberals to Hitler is absurd as it is comparing to conservatives. The Third Reich was a freak mutation from both sides; the left with total government control and the right with political movement to purify the German race. Fascism is noted by scholars as a far-right concept.

Goodnight.
TreyParkersBitch 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch I can certainly understand why the left would want to distance themselves from FASCISM>
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch . People think because Hitler was nationalist he was right wing this is absurd nonsense he was for socialism for the Germans he despised the upper class and hated Judeo Christianity preferring a more pagan belief system he pretended to get on with the Catholic Church for convenience.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch The real right is Social Conservatism or Classical Liberalism which supports a small state and common law some prefer to encourage faith but usually respect choice in such matters They despise totalitarianism whatever way its packaged and a surveillance society.
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch This is totally at odds with the left which seem to love and argue for a nanny state and love charismatic leaders much closer to the Fascist ideal.. Look at history (not the Marxist revised rubbish though) for once and not parrot "progressive" left propaganda
TAMARLANE 1 year ago
@TAMARLANE Like I said it was a freak mutation and there is no explanation for it. Hitler HATED liberals and Marxists as much as he hated conservatives-he viewed individual thinking as a threat to his reign. Hitler did not believe in individual freedom AT ALL which both right and left wing sides believe in. I did read your response; I'm sorry but overall knowledge disagrees-Fascism is a far right concept. I wouldn't even go far as to call George W. Bush a Nazi as it's simply incorrect.
TreyParkersBitch 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch Whether your realize it or not, you have bought into the Progressive version of history.

@TreyParkersBitch Discribing hitlers TOTAL government control over as being "a freak mutation" is as silly as saying that people on the right are idetified by them having tiny square mustaches.
Only misinformationalists want to have ill-defined terms, so that nothing can be accomplished by discusing them.
dlucas90 1 year ago
@dlucas90 I didn't describe Hitler's "TOTAL government control"-I was talking about the entire Third Reich which is, I don't know how else to explain it, a mutation of ideals from both the left and the right. Socialism is an idea from the left which is what Hitler dictated but his political actions upon the people (Aryan Nation) come from the far right. I find both conservatives and liberals very silly when they accuse the other side of being Nazis as Hitler hated them both.
TreyParkersBitch 1 year ago
@TreyParkersBitch Yes, the entire third Reich is left. If it makes you feel any better guys like Bush 1 and 2 are also leftists also, if you judge them by their stance towards big govt./big business . Anyone who advocates for total govt. control is a leftists by definition. Big business and big govt. are one in the same and hte partisans are doing there best to disguise this fact.
dlucas90 1 year ago
@dlucas90 You're half right. Total gov't control is communist-not socialist. But there aren't any politicians that are for total gov't control so your point is moot. Then again, fascism is on the far opposite extreme of the political spectrum from communism. If your definition of the left is fascist, then, by your definition, the right is communist. You have everything assbackwards.
plynth2 1 year ago

left = total govt. control
right = no govt.
dlucas90 1 year ago
Hitler = total govt. control = LEFT kings, dictators
Anarchy, no govt. = RIGHT
dlucas90 1 year ago
@dlucas90 You have defined fascism as leftist because of one criterion, and even at that, you incorrectly assert that fascists had total control. It's like saying that women have small noses, WC had a small nose, so WC Fields was a woman. You ignore the numerous other criteria that go into a correct identication and the one you do use is not even correct.
plynth2 1 year ago
@plynth2 It was not my intention to define facisim, rather, my intention was to define the political spectrum in terms of what is on the left side of the spectrum and what is on the right side of the spectrum. Fascisim is a form of govt. that leans to the left side of the spectrum because it is closer to a form of total govt. control than it is to no govt. control.
dlucas90 1 year ago
plynth2 1 year ago
@dlucas90 The characteristics of fascism listed correspond closely with those of the right wing. A few of them could apply to most any position, but taken together (not simply the degree of control) they point to the right wing. For the entire history since WW II, fascism has been considered very extreme right wing and its just in the last couple of years (Glenn Beck "scholars") that anyone has called it leftist. The Germans themselves indentify fascism as extreme right wing.

Therefore denying Black People's Money interfered with the Commerce Clause.
nandansho 1 year ago
@nandansho For safety, yes. But everyone is not mandated to buy a motorcycle (your choice) just because they are a citizen, or be punished by the Feds. Or you aren't mandated to have children (your choice) or be punished by the Feds just because you are a citizen. But the Feds want to force you to buy a product (obamacare) or you WILL be punished by fines. The commerce clause handles interstate ACTIVITY.
