I absolutely couldnt agree more. I was 17 when he died and I cried for a week. Thats the kind of relationship he had with his fans. Well folks I have a slightly different take on Elvis` death. Elvis was very close to his Mother and kind of gave him direction and grounded him. In his later performances he has the same look in his eyes as people I have known to die of broken hearts. Drugs, health, weight etc. all are factors sure..... But his last few performance songs said it all "I did it my way". He was tired.....I dont mean physically, but soul tired. He had come to terms with death and willed himself done. REST WELL..

At some point before Elvis dies he became very edemic. His heart was not pumping effectively and he couldn't get rid of excess fluid. Too much for the heart eventually.

I absolutely couldnt agree more. I was 17 when he died and I cried for a week. Thats the kind of relationship he had with his fans. I know I speak for all of us TRUE fans when I say we are all better for having known him.I felt like I had lost my best friend.Todays artists can only dream of having that closeness with their fans! There are 2 people who walked this earth that will never be forgotten.. Jesus and Elvis. they walk together now but I ll bet Jesus has a bit more rhythm in his step now!

There are a number of articles as well as biographies and such that mention that. We don't have to keep debating this, it's pointless. You don't like him and that is fine, others do like him and that's fine. He was far from Milli Vanilli, at least he did sing and could play guitar (as well as piano)

Well folks I have a slightly different take on Elvis` death. Elvis was very close to his Mother and kind of gave him direction and grounded him. In his later performances he has the same look in his eyes as people I have known to die of broken hearts. Drugs, health, weight etc. all are factors sure..... But his last few performance songs said it all "I did it my way". He was tired.....I dont mean physically, but soul tired. He had come to terms with death and willed himself done. REST WELL..

When she died something in him died also. As much as he loved entertaining, his wife, his daughter, his family, nothing in his life could fill that void that she left...not even the drugs. As an avid Elvis Presley fan myself, I have to say that he wasn't "fat" you can clearly see in this video that he was Bloated from his waist up. It is obvious that he had health issues just by viewing his last photo's and videos. It really is silly after all these years to continue to point out the obvious. Can't we just appreciate that no matter what size, he still had a heart and soul that was clearly touched by God and continued till the end, to exude that to his fans and audience.

Anyway, i know that a lot of people use drugs, and in a way i can uderstand this if your life is stressfull and hectic like Elvis life was.
I still think he was in pain or at least not feeling well. And you also know if you have so much knowledge about meds. that some meds. can make you feel sleepy or dizzy. To me he seems unwell on stage, but everybody has his own opinion about that, this is mine.

There was Sinatra, a star in his own right. And Crosby etc., but Elvis' life was exposed everywhere. Megastar in 3 years, '54-'57. No one like him since !! OK, concert footage, great! But that casket video was fake. You didn't even bother to make sure the face and hair were right. This wa taken from a pic of him in the 60's. Everyone, let's get real. We all love Elvis, but he is gone. And even if he did fake his death, he did it so he could live a normal life and get healthy. Leave his memory alone and enjoy his music and movies!

When this guy died it was officially the day that music had died I heard stories from my pants that Elvis was hung and i dont mean hanged i mean hung by saying that guy didn't have a small *cough* *cough* so in alot of the videos you see of him are above the waste and not show below because it swung around when he was dancing. This guy will never be forgotten im only in my 20's and personally I feel the music from back in the 50's was the best time to listen to music. not the junk we have now.
