  • Jaguar are very impressive amps. I own the Twin Jag, that I love

  • Are you using the 10ft or the 30ft bullet cable?

  • I own the Jaguar Twin. Best amp out there and I have owned them all. It's worth every penny.

  • Coil cables are awesome

  • I'll do that...I didn't think these Jaguar's could sound so bad...I'll drive to Austin and check one out at Guitar Resurrection...Thanks!

  • sounds like shit

  • @mojostrat58 You owe it to yourself to check one out live in person. With all respect to the "Dude" the sound on this video really doesn't do the Jaguar Junior justice..

  • @mojostrat58 Hey Mojo, you really should check this amp out in person... the "Dude's" audio on this video really doesn't do the Jaguar justice.

  • Check out the Barchetta amp. Barchetta tube amp. better sound.

  • Why do neighbors hate amplifiers?? Those tone hating bastards. My Mesa Boogie MK1 thinks I don't love her any more, she's jealous of the Line 6 pod. The Jag sounds like a great Stones amp with that British but Fendery tone. How's the intonation on the strat?

  • @benthemiester yeah! i got tone hate bastard neighbours, ibought them earmuffs for xmas!!!

  • sounds good mon...

  • The low end sounds thin...

  • @telemaestro268 That's what the equalizer is for

  • A ross fame 2 series model ten amp, gives a much better performance and only for £10 at a boot sale they are a little bit more maybe £40 tops, so people out there, my advise is get a little fame ten, much better price, but it must have the tube blaster drive switch to give it that jaguar sound.

  • Its a radio shack speaker....

  • That sounds a lot like a amp my son and I scavenged from an old victor real to real. Probably not the exact circuit but really does sound like that. What kind of speaker is it driving?

  • Great amp, but get rid of the curly cables there to noisy.

  • But the white coily cables are awesome!

  • Any time you create more surface area, which coiled cables do, your going to be creating more potential for rf noise even if they are properly shielded. They might be alright for live gigs but I wouldn't use them for recording.

  • @benthemiester I have that same "coily cable" by bullet cables. It's really good quality actually, set you back about $50 mind

  • Hey GMD--

Isn't that a 8 ohm G12H30 speaker? I noticed you had the impedence selector set to 16 ohms. Do you prefer the tonal signature of the mismatched impedance over stock?

    THANKS!-- and ROCK ON!

  • The cost of parts on the Jag Junior would be under $1,000 for sure. The extra $1500 is for labor and the word 'boutique'. That's a pretty hefty price, in my opinion.

  • @snoopjmcd Consider how much work goes into handwiring an amp to this standard, this guy won't be getting rich building amps, believe me. You also need to consider business overheads and running costs.

  • @TeleCustom72 I know how much work it takes, since I'm building an amp right now. There are equally nice sounding amps that cost less, so the potential buyer has lots to consider besides the overhead at Jag amps.

  • @snoopjmcd But consider doing this for a living - its easy to make an amp thats comparable as a hobbyist or on a part time basis, but try doing it as your main income and you soon see why these amps are priced as they are - I build amps for a living and know this through experience.

  • GMD - get a Allen Accomplice and give us a shoot out between the super-expensive Jag, mid-range Allen, and budget-friendly Blues Jr. Should I send you my Allen for said shoot out?

  • why are they so fucking expensive? It's not worth it.

  • OMG I love it. I love amps with few knobs!!

  • $2500 bucks! Damn Jack Black!

  • Very nice amp,any chance of playing some of your other tasty guitars through it?

  • hey gearmandude, where'd you learn to float on air?

love to hear this thing with a fuzzz before it....

  • Shootout with a Blues Jr, other smaller tube amps?

Oh shit....just looked at the price on that Jaguar Jr.

  • u know what man? u just dont want to dish out the dough for a kickass, awesome boutique amp. its worth every penny!

  • I just don't want to dish out the dough? The extra $1000? You are ridiculous, Corman247. Maybe that's not a lot to you. But you know, to the real, non-Jaguar affiliated people out there, I would just emphasize that gear is nice, but its all about the left and the right hand. Too much effort focused on gear; not enough on your hands. Anything can sound rocking if you are rocking. Anything can sound like crap the other way around. You don't need to spend.

  • fucking owned, your my hero. (even tho i am a person to buy good gear to make my playing sound better) but i think that 2500 is more than i will ever spend <3 ^^

  • hey GMD howre you diggin the road worn?? is it worth all the hype?

  • actually, yes...very cool for the price...not as nice as my King Bee guitar, but still very ripe for the money....ROCK! GMD

  • wow thats sounds REALLY good jack black
