  • i love how he says INNNNNNNN the sacrifices<3primordial<3

  • incredible voice...

  • When I first got into folk metal in '08, I heard these guys played "Celtic black metal," so I checked them out. At that point, I was "musically immature," expecting typical black metal stuff (blast beats, etc.) with folk instrumentation. Their music didn't click with me at the time. Now, I hear the real beauty behind their music. Today, I listened to at least one song from every album they put out, and am punching myself now for not giving them a chance sooner. Their lyrics are really deep.

  • !!!!!

  • epic song

  • Fucking stunning. Even more powerful when everyone is chanting 'where is the fighting man'

In a world of insincere saturated and bullshit music these guys are creating a beautiful cacophony that stirs barbarian rage in my soul.

  • Beautiful music for beautiful people.

  • i'm still wishing there was a video for this, same as i did as soon as i first heard...

  • ima black hip hop enthuisiast and ill have to admit, dis shit right here nigga......dis shit right here nigga....got more passion, than alot hip hop out there. why isnt this song like top of some charts? Every empire falls! #swag!

  • @CWash09 This band focuses on really deep themes so naturally the vocalist Alan wants to put in as much emotion and power he can into his vocals. Most of their music is like that. Check out "The Coffin Ships", "Death of Gods", "As Rome Burns" and "No Nation on this Earth" for starters and for the love of god spread it around. That's the only way it'll get heard by other people. Let's not let powerful, passionate music like this go by the wayside! This band is truly important.

  • great song, good grove and a lot of energy in it !!

  • awesome band!!!

  • What tune they use?

  • @PiErRe6363 gay tune,motherfucker

  • @PiErRe6363 Drop D, I believe.

  • Massive performance from one of the greatest iconic bands that has ever walked the Earth and fucking amazing crowd \m/

  • To make a perfect song better - not everybody can do it!

  • I'm proud that I was at this show. I can see myself in the front row of the crowd.

During the ''Golden Spiral'' during the lyrics:

''I set foot on foreign land

Held my brothers and sisters to me

And saw the same questions in them

Yet when I clasped their hands

I felt their Blood beneath mine

    I had found my answer''

Alan grasped my hand and sang it right into my soul.

    GREATEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE.

  • @Primordialfan1 if this was the greatest moment in your ridiculous life ,you dont deserve to live .if you bastards wouldnt be drunk all the time you would understand real good music instead of barking hey hey hey, hey.no doubt taht there is no worse ,stupid audience than that one.&you are proud of your stupidity.without alcohol no primordial .THIS is barbarism, and not the afghans or iraqis.cheeers drunk civilzators!!!!keeep on dying !!!! the world is hungry for better folks.

  • @satansprick13 Hey? Don't you think that everyone is entitled to enjoy life the way they feel better? Opinions are like asses, eveyone have them. Instead of being so negative, diminishing other people, enjoy your life.

  • i think these guys are my fourth favorite band.... after 1. Bathory 2. Ensiferum and 3. Necrophagist

  • He looks like GG Allin haha!

  • @dorkamania and you look like the anus of gg allin.what a stupid obsolete bullshit comment.dorkamania:your girl thinks of me while givin you a blowjob, which is so disgusting for her.take a shower, moron.

  • holy shit ! i would kill to see them live !

  • I would follow Alan into every Battle! Hes a true Warlord!

  • hot damn this song is so fucking sick

  • Raw as fuck

  • caught these guy's in worcester mass and actually met them before the show. very cool bunch of guy's

  • Just discovered these guys. Absolutely amazing. Primordial rules!

  • the slight Irish accent on the word father makes it infinitely more awesome

  • So powerful.

  • great band...i'll hope to see u soon,,,up the pagan horns high

  • awesome

4 people should go die in a fire

  • fucking expressive!

  • such a brilliant fucking band

  • 1:09 omfg!!!

  • 1:09 omfg

  • been listening to the CD constantly... (just discovered it)

  • That concert was fuckin' amazing! I went apeshit.

  • omfg his voice touches my soul....

  • He has fuckin great voice. Must...hear...him...in live!

  • This is one of my favorite metal songs.

  • The best band in Ireland, in any genre. They have earned and deserve all the respect and recognition they get, no matre who is giving it!

  • fucking amazing... brutal!!

  • celtic fc

  • Best fucking singer imo these guys are fucking amazing, people really need to recognize these dudes, they are fucking amazing!

  • @bakvarnyu Why are you saying that? And isnt it good that more people get to know real music? Primordial didnt compromise on anything thats for sure.

  • @bakvarnyu

how is too many people knowing them a problem?

  • maybe it's because now that they are well known, they become a target to labels and so the labels will try to sign them while also trying to change the original concept of the band to sound more "Mainstream" and get more listeners.

That's how I always assumed albeit I could be wrong.

  • Awesome video, but I kinda feel sorry for Alan that he messed up with the lyrics. This is goign to be on the DVD right?

  • I was at this show. and I loved every minute of it.

  • Looks like some kind of Celtic war paint to me....

  • Absolutely aewsome, a recent convert. Bloody brilliant!

  • Ah! Incredibly powerful this band is!

A fool was I to believe that bands worth listening were only those with double drums...

  • This is mighty. Woaw. Awesome.

  • I d fly to Dublin just to sing this song in a metal club surrounded by irish metalheads. Biggest hit post Maiden, best frontman since Bruce.

  • I think its a Primordial tradition now to do a sellout show in the Button Factory at the end of every January so thats your best bet. They play very few shows here in Ireland these days.

  • @mattytheemoslayer They are certainly gaining popularity around the world after "To The Nameless Dead". Rightly so, the album is near perfect! Hail to Ireland for delivering such amazing musicians. And hail to you for having such a badass screen name.

  • thanks man.

PRIMORDIAL confirmed today for a Belfast show in April! Best news i'll hear all year

  • Hell of a frontman.

  • Wht do u mean by that?

  • he was cool as hell when I talked with him.

  • He seems cool to me, I had to do a report for a course I did and part of it was an interview and I got in contact with him and he was sound, he was really friendly and helpful.

  • excellent I gave 5 fuckin stars

  • I still think its despicable that the even organizers had

Korpiklaani headlining over Primordial. I mean Korpiklaani is good and all but they're not phenomenal like Primordial.

  • I think because Korpiklanni embodies the ideals of what folk metal should be, but you are right, they are not as intense as Primordial. Primordial doesn't consider themselves folk.

  • pagandwarf:

I live in Hungary. I saw them twice and trust me... They are amazing in live. Fucking amazing.

  • i actually thought their songs wouldnt do so well live, but man was i wrong, i'm gonna have to see this guys someday, shame they will never come to Central America

  • This guy has the "BEST VOICE" i've ever heard in male metal singers. And great song. "To the nameless dead" is an epic album!

  • @Lycantroph i think it from when i eard for the first time this band

  • Great video , great song ! fans are singing the whole song

  • Primordial are like national heroes in Ireland's Metal scene, the one band who truly "made it". So everyone cheers the hel out of them. I saw it a few years back when I hung out with sume irish folk at Wacken, and to some of them, Primordial was THE band they wanted to see and they sang along just like in this video.

Playing "at home" just makes that even more intense, I guess.

  • Yeah, they are everything to us, they really "unite the clans" so to speak, people who love good metal here, whether it be old school or extreme we are all fiercely proud of Primordial, and very passionate about them. Irelands music industry and media hasnt always been kind to its metal bands and they rose to where they are by hard work and playing their hearts out, and they paved the way for many of the new bands, not to mention the fact that they write amazing music, and are top blokes!

  • what. a. guy.

  • With Heart and Soul,Primordial GreatPerformace.Kann nicht Besser Geben:)

  • A-MAZING!!!

one of the best performances i have ever witnessed....

  • because it is not "mainstream" metal...

  • doesn't make sense.... but ok.

  • mainstream metal concerts are full of posers - they can never create atmosphere as fans of underground non - commerical bands..

  • ....the fuck are you rambling on about?

  • Comment removed

  • Such an epic band live. Have yet to still to see them myself but I've nothing but good things about them :)

  • They were superhuman at Paganfest in Vancouver

  • They totally were. Never headbanged so hard in my life.

  • Just saw these guys in Chicago last thursday the 7th....got to hang out and drink with them all night. They are so amazing live, I've been waiting years to see them and it surpassed my expectations. Fuck Korpiklaani.... Primordial should have headlined. Korpiklaani is nothing but a gimmick.

  • blodhemn. If only there were some way to give you a +2. I was at that same show and got my copy of Storm Before the Calm signed by both guitarists. Truly a great band and I left before Korpiklanni went on since it would have been far to anticlimactic for me. Primordial are the reason why metal is still relevant.

  • FUCKING EPIC!

  • EMPIREEEEEEEEE FALLSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I love how you can hear everyone singing along

  • I saw primordial at graspop fest last year. someone farted really bad during this song and after the song someone was singing "where is the farting man?" I thought that was great

  • I am he!

  • I so fucking love the vocalist, he just really pours his soul to these songs. So emotional, so powerful. <3

  • if by pours his soul into the songs you mean just shouts the lyrics like a maniac yes he does.

  • When you can actually replicate the vocals without your throat pouring out of your mouth, then you'd have room to talk.

  • I would give my fcking arm to be there :D

  • I was there. Front row!

  • Oh, and the HQ version of this video can be found on metalbladeeurope's channel

  • Indeed, great performance and footage.

btw did Nemthenga forgot lyrics from 3:14?

Actually It doesn't matter. He is a great man.

  • This video gives me chills every time. Cannot wait to see them at Paganfest!

  • No doubt this sound is a Classic indeed!!

    Hail Primordial

  • awesome voice

  • you were right, Korpiklaani aren't bad....but i am only going to Pagan Fest to see Primordial...and still think that they should tour by themselves with support from Metallica ;)

  • they should've been the headliner of paganfest 2

  • yeah, what the fuck is wrong with the people? i was thinking exactly the same thing...who the fuck is Korpiklaani?

  • lol, look them up they're actually pretty good

  • Korpiklaani rocks.

  • it'd the fact that Korpiklaani has a bigger american following, I think paganfest will be badass Primordial and Korpiklaani but great bands with different styles of folk metal. live with it and stop bitching.

  • its cus they are not populare enough in north america

  • Worchester Mass May 1st

  • These guy's really grow on you at first I was just like yeah some cool stuff, but now I can't get enough of them.

  • My cousin's the drummer. I've seen em at many a family event. They are lovely in person!

  • Real music.

  • You would trade every truth! every fucking truth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of their best!

  • He forgot the words to the second verse. Haha.

  • 1:55 = goosebumps.

  • Agreed... wow.

  • such an epic song...

  • I see them today in Dortmund!!!!It will be fucking great!!!!!

  • seeing them live at saturday!!! WUHU!

  • Yay, see ya there!

  • Sa'll right

  • primordial rules i hope they come to brazil. we have our fighting land or man who knows

  • I wish it was actually made into a dvd :(

  • this song is better live than it is when recorded

  • its even kinda live recorded, they dont fuck semselfs up by mastering the shit out of their songs. thats what i also like abouta'em

  • \m/ (-_-) \m/

  • what are they tuned to? Does anybody know?

  • can any1 play this song on guitar?

  • This is more than a mere performance. It is a message to all.

  • A courageous man with honest heart spoken words. May our indigenous culture live to see through these dark times.

  • I'd certainly see them live. The guy knows how to engage an audience, and I love how he can just stand there and own the stage even while he isn't singing. A. A. Nemtheanga is more of a man than any of us will ever be.
