i think i might be gifted but i really am not sure. Im 18, and i just feel so much different than everyone else. Ive always felt like all of my peers were so childish and immature. I remember in kindergarden we had to take naptime, and i thought it was for babies, so i sat up, waiting fo rit to end. I was the only 3rd grader i know who watched the science channel..And now in college i feel kinda the same way. I feel that everyone needs to just get real, and stop being idiots...i just feel so di
Yes, kahkey, I guess we're talking about 2 different types of giftedness. I feel that intellectual giftedness is more useful to society and civilization than artistic, musical, or psychomotor giftedness.
Most intellectually gifted people score REALLY high on IQ tests, that's how they're selected. Sometimes, they're so gifted that IQ tests are too easy for them. Most IQ tests only go as high as 164. Many profoundly gifted people hit this ceiling and need harder IQ tests to accurately gauge their intelligence.
i agree with you kahkey, but please be reminded that this video contains the historical background on the concept of giftedness --from the traditional to the contemporary perspective.apparently, traditional concept was based solely on the IQ level of a person but eventually, modern concepts came out, like that of renzulli and gardner's.

Very nice video, but it went by a little too quickly. And you forgot one person who contributed to understanding of the gifted, Kasimierz Dabrowski.
