Facinated to see how VASTLY different this kit is from the (numerous) 'classic' Airfix Wellingtons that I built as a kid.
I'm wondering how long this 'newer mold' has been out on release ?
I built my first Airfix Wellington in 1969 & my last (of four), in 1974.
The "old" kit was the B.III with just the lozenge-type gunners side-windows.
The original came as 'AA-D' of 75 Sqdn & was later repackaged as 'KW-E' of No.425 RCAF. The old kit was ALWAYS in Black plastic. This "new un" looks great !!!!
my grandad's friend flew these he was an acual piolit not a co piolit :)
