Damn, one of my favorite Blur songs. Many people compare Ben and Colin, and I like the Decemberists a lot but this clip clearly shows Ben to be the better singer. His voice is just much more soothing, more relaxed while singing.

I'm not sure you can say that Ben is the "better" singer. Their voices are very very different. It is true that Ben Gibbard has a very soothing type of voice, but I just can't imagine his sort of singing on Decemberists songs or other songs that Colin's voice works with.

Ben can get by: he frequently hops around between piano and guitar during concerts. He can definitely play. The thing about Ben is he can play pretty much everything his band calls for: guitar, bass, drums, piano/organ. But I don't think he is the best in Death Cab at any. Chris pretty much owns him at the piano, organ and guitar, Nick takes care of the bass, while Jason is an amazing drummer. Ben's job is singing and songwriting and we all know he's incredible in that role.
