It is normal, bucks and does only group togather during the rut. Any other time bucks go with bucks and does go with does. Makes sense really, bucks only hang out with does when they want some.

Cool video. The grunting reminded me of my mother in law waking up in the guest room. I've not had any luck grunting so this was fascinating. Too bad they were so near the road for obvious safety reasons. In a year or two get permission to hunt over there and post a video of this herd of mature bucks coming to your grunt.

Next time, call and just wait a while longer like about 1 full minute before repeating...a doe's whinny imitation heps a lot too. Too much grunting makes them suspicious.
