  • "This is Moose, you can call her Running Moose, or Jumping Moose, or Vinny if you want." OMG I didn't catch that before! This show is so subtle hahahaha

  • "This girl needs help more than the Donner Party needed a compass and a hot pizza!" lmao i love that girl

  • this is funny, I'm glad she learns not to listen to stereotypes

  • if you get to the end she learns about the natives and about stereotypes.

  • I find this episode hard to watch

  • It's not like she intends to offend. She appropriates a culture precisely because she finds it cool. She finds it cool because she sees it as exotic when comparing it to her view of boring modern life. It's all kinds of sad and ignorant and eventualy she matures and realizes this. It's cool, it's cool.

  • Pepper Ann, you're an asshole!

  • This is a great example to show children why appropriating a culture to themselves can be hurtful and wrong.

  • Now if only all of the white chicks wearing war bonnets would get the point.

  • It's definitely hard to watch...but that's the point. It's such a great comment on how our society has been plagued with stereotypes of different cultures from the media. We need to actually go to a library and do some research about the cultures around us.

  • No real Native American would even say American "Indian"...............

  • @retronica92 Actually, a lot of people prefer American Indian for a number of reasons, among them the fact that it puts "American" first, acts as a reclamation of a misnomer under which they have been/are oppressed, and as an alternative to Native American, which many feel is a generic government term. If you're interested, check out "I am an American Indian, Not a Native American" by Russell Means.

  • Um.....not sure why they stereotyped the Chinese at 9:27 lol, I'm pretty sure that "gong" sound is offensive to use in correlation to saying "Chinese" lol. I guess they didn't notice that

  • @najmaj yeah i know. i was thinking that had to be deliberate, like an ironic joke or something, because it kind of undermines the whole message about stereotyping.

  • 9:03 he dropped some knowledge! This was a good episode to learn about stereotyping.

  • Yeah except Pepper Ann is appropriating this culture to herself. Just because her great grandparent had a kid with a white person (statistically the white person raped the indigenous American, as was the case with my g-g-grandmother) does not make PA Navajo. She is white and she needs to take a damn seat.

  • @TheMinuteVlog Racial makeup is actually not the sum total of Native identity. There are people who live on reservations who are as "white" as Pepper Ann in appearance. Navajo identity isn't entirely about the purity of your blood, but also group membership and cultural heritage. At the end, Pepper Ann acknowledges the ancestry she shares, but makes no claim to Navajo identity. This is perfectly reasonable and not appropriative.

  • pepper ann was a Racist M-F***** lolololol i'm glad she saw that people are more than their stereotypes. <3 Pepper Ann

  • I'm so glad he called her out. This was hard to watch. She's just awful haha.

  • @MrsNickJJonasx3 it is hard to watch, but i think that's part of the point. i remember watching this as a kid and feeling embarrassed for her haha

  • This is... difficult to watch. :P

  • I have to say I'm surprised by how unbelievably un-PC they were able to make Pepper Ann. You could never pull that off on children's TV nowadays.

  • "please excuse my pale-face mother"

  • She is so hilariously offensive.

  • lol look at pepper ann rocking that crop top
