  • He should have one that says, Finger, and shows a finger getting cut off and flying away.

  • @RJSoftware2000

This is an interesting point. These cutting wheels 'grind' - not cut - like a traditional saw blade. You'd have to work very hard to cut a finger off! :-)

  • Amazing!

  • @MJFAN666

Yes, Big Work for Small Wheels!

  • Bonjour,

Quel est le prix et ou l'acheter ?

    merci du lien internet

  • @MrFloja

    COM de duragrit (point)

  • Whats the biggest sized cutting wheel

  • @Baseballt97

Biggest size cutting wheel is1.5" dia. Allowing for the mandrel, that's a full 5/8" deep cut.

  • :D

  • How much would about 10 of these cost?

  • @JayByrd319

About ten times as much as one.

One hundred would be less per piece.

  • too much dust.

  • @chmellen

This is sanding. It is part of the process. :-)

  • At what speeds he is cut?

  • @putin4055

Up to 35,000 rpm, depending on the material being cut. Faster for hard and soft woods and fiberglass. Slower for things such as soft plastics to reduce friction and melting.

Rule of thumb - start slow and increase to optimum speed for specific material.

Low pressure always - let the tool do the work.

  • Very good demo - well done :)

  • @adisharr

Thanks but it all lays in the power and versatility of the tool.

  • @Ryanty12

All the carbide tools in the demo movie(s) are DuraGrit carbide tools.

    duragrit.com

  • again an awzome and AGAIN NOT AVADIBLE FOR THE NETHERLANDS!!!

  • @mindharvester

Check out dealers in France, Germany & the UK

    duragrit.com/us/dealers/index.html

  • @CarbideBurrGuy thx now can i get my stuff much cheaper :) !

  • @mindharvester

Try Tools-Tech in Germany: tools-tech.de or HM-Diffusion in France: hmdiffusion

  • impressive man.... and im talking about those steady hands of yours

  • @reeboki3

Thank you but the carbide coated steel disc rotating at high speed helps stabilize the tool.

  • hi, would the 543 bit be acceptable for cutting acrylic?

  • @VashRocks12349

Yes but be sure to reduce the speed and applied pressure. As with most tools, let the tool do the work and reduce friction and heat.

  • It's like hot knife in butter :p

  • Will it fit the black and decker rtx6??? Reply

  • @pcblah

These cutting wheels will fit any hi-speed drill with a 1/8" chuck or collet.

  • 4:23 laughing at the amazing carbide?

  • Who ever does a whole floor oak, or laminate with that is a fool... just sayin'.... ahaha

Maybe for the vent cut outs yes.... whole floor? never.

  • @xaboo The point here is, it is testament to this small cutting wheel, that if you don't have a RotoZip or larger power saw, you CAN actually lay a laminate floor with the CW5 and a Dremel. A great tool to have in your tool kit, that can do some real work, despite its small size.

  • wow, i wonder how i had survive without one of those...

  • They seem absolutely amazing! can i use these to cut shapes out of thin metal? Thank you!

  • @GTAtomten

Hi, DuraGrit doesn't recommend these carbide cut-off wheels for metal.

The right tool for the job would be the Dremel EZ456.

  • @CarbideBurrGuy Alright, thank you for your time =)

  • This is the best kit i've ever seen in ma life

Thanks for posting and sharing it with us , im gonna buy it soon

  • you have an amazingly steady hand

  • Can it cut through a harder wood like purpleheart without burning it?

  • @bigrock212121

Like any power tool, adjust speed and pressure to achieve optimum cutting performance. Burning is caused by friction, which in turn is due to a combination of too much speed and too much pressure.

  • I love it!

  • Hi buddy. Can u say what is the difference between the CW560 disc and SC544 disc ? Thank u a lot.

  • @galactus773

The EZ544 is the same as the DuraGrit CW5, except that the center hole is a 'bow-tie' shape, to fit the Dremel EZ-Lock system. Otherwise, they are identical.

  • You have a very steady hand.

  • Thank you but actually, the revolving, carbide coated wheel, is very easy to direct and hold steady. Something of a gyro effect maybe?

  • who uses a power tool to cut balsa wood?? its like gardening with a back hoe or hunting with a minigun

  • @bwoodcracker

It is a way to demonstrate that the same carbide cutting wheel will cut soft wood like balsa and hard wood like 1/2" oak, both with eae and with a sanded finish.

    A good demonstration I think?

  • who uses a power tool to cut balsa wood??

  • @bwoodcracker "who uses a power tool to cut balsa wood??"

... Someone who wants to demonstrate that this remarkable cutting wheel that cuts balsa so smoothly with a beautiful sanded finish, also cuts oak, laminate floor, fiberglass, pine, carbonfibre, ABS, PVC, rubber, leather etc.... :-)

    A very versatile tool.

  • @CarbideBurrGuy sounds like something straight out of a commercial... hmmmm i wonder

  • @bwoodcracker H-mmmm, thank you :-)

  • please answer me this cutt of disk work with my dremel 300 ? and she cut aluminum ?

  • Yes, all DuraGrit (SR) tools, work with all Dremel hi-speed drills and any 1/8" chuck or collet, hi-speed drill. They are rated to 35,000 rpm.

DuraGrit doesn't recommend these tools be used on metal. Soft metal such as aluminum can clog the grits, unless they are sprayed beforehand with a stearate such SprayOn Dry Zinc mold release by Krylon

  • @CarbideBurrGuy thanks a lot

  • What are you using on 4:00?

  • At 4:00, a SR-SD2-080, an 80 grit, 1/2" carbide sanding drum is mounted on a standard rubber arbor and is sanding a channel in poplar.

If you don't have a standard 1/2" rubber arbor, then the SR-HT2-080 is a better bet, as it doesn't require a rubber mandrel and does double duty as a mini hole saw, as the open end is also coated in carbide grit.

DuraGrit doesn't recommend that these tools be used on metal.

  • Smartest move I've seen on any of these cutting videos happens at 4:40 with the vacuum. Smart move using the vacuum.

  • seems like the perfect tool for cutting inletting stocks.

can these blades be used for cutting standard copper/brass plumbing pipe?

  • These carbide cutting and shaping wheels are not recommended for steel or non-ferrous metals. The Dremel EZ Lock Metal Cutter is the tool to use for metals.

  • thanks for sharing this! you opened a new dremel world !

  • You're welcome. Now your Dremel can do some real work!

  • I can't wait to get my set of Duragrit discs !

    Amazing

  • i buy that macine for one reson to cut aluminum and steel but she cut nothing its bad we know how to cut wood with out this machine where is the metal ??!!!!!

  • As you see in the movie, Dura-GRIT carbide cutting wheels and the Dremel equivalents, are designed to cut hard and soft woods, fiberglass, carbonfiber, laminates, ABS, PVC, rubber, leather and many more materials.

To cut metal(s) using a Dremel drill, you need to buy wheels specifically designed for metal, such as the Dremel EZ406 for example.

  • thank you

  • Why not just use the cutting/shaping wheel for all cutting? Or is it ineffective?

  • The Dura-GRIT CS4 cutting/shaping wheel has a slightly thicker kerf than the CW4 or CW5 cutting wheels, as it is also coated with carbide grit on one face. It is however a very good option if you want cutting and shaping functions.

  • at 0:46 they werent using a dremel

  • It was a Dremel Multi-Pro, with a Dremel 575 right angle drive. That is what you see in the movie frame that doesn't look like the nose of a Dremel drill :-) The 575 right angle drive is a great addition to your Dremel. It adds directional stability and enables you to work 'inboard' on large, flat surfaces, without the body of the Dremel getting in the way.

For the record, Dura-GRIT carbide bits and cutters work equally as well in all hi-speed multi-tools.

  • Hello fine. I live in Brazil and liked much of their videos of hard sierras-grit, you work with Artezanato?

you could give me some tips on where to get one of these hills, because I have 16 years and am starting to work with Artezanato more tools I have no omen if I had a mini retifer and saw that everything was more here in Brazil I do not will find that you can help me. thanks.

  • @samucapaula

Thank you. You may buy these tools by mail order from duragrit webstore

  • woahh it cuts through balsa like butter!

  • very nice i have dremel but cant find this disk can you give me the name

  • do they deliver these in europe?

    damn they are great

  • Yes, Dura-Grit deliver worldwide.

  • ok

does the the dremel make the mushroom style

  • Yes, Dremel sell the Mushroom Shaping Wheel, it's called the 801.

  • do you prefer the dremel brand or the dura grit?

cuz it looks like u use both in the demo

  • Their cutting performance is identical.

Using either the Dura-GRIT or Dremel brand, will produce the same finish, cutting performance and longevity.

  • were can you buy these?

  • i want some of those!

    but theyre expensive

  • You know the old saying

"The most expensive things, are often the cheapest"

or, Something that lasts so much longer, is far less expensive.

  • yea thats true

it kinda depends how often you plan to use it

  • Yes, but isn't it good to know that when you do use it, you have a tool that will do the job and then some? :-)

No more back and forth to the store to buy replacement bits in the middle of a job.

As the Dura-GRIT saying goes, 'Tools That Really Work! And Work. And Work!' :-)

  • woot this is great! are they available in stores too?

  • In reply to 'Moncantha' who's comment was

" i believe the so called "oak" in this video is not oak.. you never get oak to cut like that.looks more like cherry..."

The three examples of oak in the demo (flooring plank, the dark stained quarter round and decorative trim), are indeed oak.

And you are right, you usually don't get oak to cut like that but that's the whole point. With Dura-GRIT carbide cutting wheels, you do! Amazing considering their size, eh? :-)

  • Demonstration show!

  • The carbide bits are the key element in this video! They enable the Dremel, or Proxxon or Foredom (or Black & Decker RTX or WeCheer or Ryobi or any other hi-speed drill), to do some real work! They are fantastic performers, love the high speed and last a very long time!

  • Oh,Dremel is much better,35000rpm...Is it 400seriers ?

  • Different. The Dremel runs up to 35,000 rpm and the Proxxon, 20,000 rpm.

  • OMG,is it better than PROXXON ?

  • Dremel is the machine (drill) and the bits doing the cutting and shaping are called Dura-Grit bits. They are available on line in the duragrit store, or most places that Dremels are sold.

  • what is that machine called?

  • A power carver/drilling/milling machine. Check the description for manufacturers of such. There cool, can get all sorts of adaptions for them, like these dura-grit bits making them super versatile. I use a proxxon micromot system for wood carving. Loadsa fun

  • its called a DREMEL

  • dremel

  • where can i get this product.thanks for your time

  • u can get 'em at lowe's
