This is a fascinating document of the period between Mr Anderson and Hank Hill, Hank really sounds more like the former character with the low gruff voice.

517634: Your comment is partially correct. Mike did do most of the male voices himself (except Bobby). But Mike did not animate this piece. It was animated FOR Mike by Heart of Texas Productions in 1996. Mike provided two rough character design sketches and the voice audio. Heart of Texas took it from there to completion.

I kind of think it was a good thing that it ended because it was starting to get dumb and it was no longer funny. Don't get me wrong, I liked it when it first started, but after about 2004, it kind of lost that old almost Beavis and Butthead kind of humor, which is probably why people started watching it in the first place. King of the Hill had a little thing called COMEDY, not fart jokes and flashbacks. Groening... The Simpsons speaks for itself, although the newer episodes have lost their luster, Futurama was funny. They really never gave Sit Down, Shut Up a chance. Seth got 3 SHOWS! Most creators stop at two, but Seth's got the nads to juggle 3. Bring this back.

This might sound weird, but King of the Hill is a show I started watching when I was like 4 or 5 after spending most of my childhood before that watching Beavis and Butthead. Mike Judge's animation just has a lot of Nostalgia value for me. Aside from that, Mike Judge's animations have a more sophisticated form of humor than Seth Mcfarlane's animations. Making your entire show rely on cutaways from the actual show is only funny if you have the attention span of a retarded squirrel.

What really irritates me is that FOX was in such a hurry to get The Cleveland Show on the air (which happens to be a THIRD Seth McFarlane show) that they didn't even end the series correctly. When King of the Hill was down to its last six episodes FOX only aired the final two in order to get Cleveland on the air, even though I already had 2 Seth shows. To this day those unaired episodes have never been seen. Why does everyone love Seth so much?
