And since I'm the breeder of the cat I can assure you that those are pure bred Devon Rex ;)

Not all rex cats are born with rexing, It will develope later.

@BlargyBlue they look similar to sphynxes but devons can have very little fur at this age. my devon had the nickname baldrick when he was a kitten, but now he has lots of hair

Ha ha I was teaching a young class of kids about the Devon Rex for a project for school and I showed them a picture of a bald devon with it's huge ears (before showing them the real thing) and they said it looked like:

A) bat

B) little dog

C) real-live alien

No one guessed it was a cat...until I showed them XD

Well it all depends on each person.. some react to rex cats and some dont.. so you just have to try for yourself :-)

I was wondering the same. I know Siberian cats are hypoallergenic, but they're atleast $1,000 here in the US for one..I'm not sure about Devon Rex? Btw Sweden's a beautiful country..spent 3 years in Stockholm.

Heh, that's an urban legend that siberian (or any other breed) is hypoallergic.

Coping depends on tons of factors. We have devons. My hubby has asthma and he's coping ok, my dad's wife has a dog but cannot come inside our house.

Every cat has the allergy-causing proteine and that's it.

The only reason Devon rex's are considered hypo allergenic is because they don't shed like regular cats, so the hair doesn't get everywhere. Also there is a type of chemical in the saliva that less people react to than in normal domestic cats. But there are still some people, though that Are allergic to Devons.

People who own a Devon usually don't have any allergies. My mum has been a DEvon breeder since before I was born so i grew up knowing EVERYTHING about Devons. I'f you're collecting research I'd be happy to tell you anything. I Did my senior project on them also, so I'm kind of a nerd for them. They are the best cats you will ever own.

I love sphynxes too. We used to own 2 a long time ago. They have pretty much the same personality as Devons. I actually preferred the hairless sphynx to the devon's furry coat, but I've always liked the 'naked kitties' because they LOVE to cuddle. They are like automatic lap warmers. Once you sit down they crawl right up on you. Devons do the same thing. Their appearance is easy to get used to. Honestly, their personalities make up for everything. But I've always liked their looks too.
