@TheRealMrBaseball, the game is one of adjustments. If a player is that far away from the plate, it’s probably because he has made a choice to lay off of pitches on the outer half. If he finds that he is getting a steady dose of pitches away, he’ll make an adjustment
@goinggoing100 DuDE You NEVER said how to stay short you JUST SAID stay short why does EVERY1 DO THAT!!!.....EVERYONE This WHOLE video could have been 2 minutes and 41 seconds shorter if he just said PUT YOUR HANDS CLOSER TO YOUR BODY....thank u and goodnight
@watchandbamused Keeping your hands closer to the body doesn’t necessarily imply “staying short”.
Other wise how would you stay short on a pitch on the outer half of the plate? In order to make contact on that kind of pitch, you would have to have extension. Staying short is more of a mental adjustment than a physical one......
@goinggoing100 If the ball is away from your body, then the barrel is already there and you dont need to have your hands close to your body. On inside pitches the closer your hands are to your body the less distance they will have to go around to hit the ball. And this varies from how deep you hit the ball in the strike zone and how close or far away it is from you.
Looks to me like you do need to get closer to the plate. On inside tee swing at 2:13 you'd be screwed if it were an outside pitch. With that high leg raise..
