  • wtf this is like alice cooper's im eighteen

  • oooooohhhhhhhh so its a LIVE album. I was wondering why this sounded so much better than the one they have on spotify

  • 777v666, if I understand correctly, Cheetah Chrome generally wrote the riffs, whereas Peter Laughner was more of the rhythm guitar player.

When you compare Peter Laughner's guitar style on his solo stuff to what Cheetah Chrome did in the Dead Boys, the RFTT lead guitar parts sound distinctively Cheetah-like. Plus I think he's credited for lead guitar in some liner notes I read somewhere.

    (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

  • @TheCoffeeCreature You're kinda close, but Laughner wrote most of the riffs. The difference is Cheetah took most of the melodies and rhythm parts, so you can almost always here his lines. Laughner was experimenting with Lou Reed-ish styles of lead playing, so here he is taking the stoccato notes part instead of playing the rhythm riff.

That would be why the song sound "Cheetah-ish" even though Laughner wrote it.

That, and Cheetah re-used a lot of these songs in the Dead Boys, of course.

  • @TheCoffeeCreature .. you are very wrong

  • ok buddy sorry i misunderstood. seems we agree.?
