  • You sure are quick to bash Vicki Secrets but don't have a problem collecting your quarterly dividend. I can spell hypocrite, can you?

  • Lighten up.

  • I think its funny how ''ihearttheocean'' thinks Victoria secret models are one anorexic, and two that they should be concidered trashy. Sure everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but i think thats pretty rediculous. They are FAR from trashy and actually represent real women and women who have curves instead of the models who actually do starve themselfs to death and look like hangers for the clothing.

  • Classy-real women with curves

Trash-anorexic VS models stomping down the runway being whores

  • Good definitions.

  • This entire video was strictly about the literal definitions of specific words.

  • i agree with her. i admit she is a little intense about it. but it's true, most of the items they sell are not classy. they are quite trashy. And it's not ridiculous at all that you are voicing your opinions. there is NEVER anything wrong with voicing something you feel strongly about!

  • Wow. You found an old video! LOL. I forgot about this one. And I haven't even been in our mall in months, so I have no idea what the store looks like now. =/

  • No. We don't have MSN. And your last comment was flagged as spam and removed, before I even got to it, so you've obviously been spamming everyone, which needs to stop.

  • i find it a bit ridiculous that u feel the need to critisize them. as for your talk of being a writer, i think part of being a writer is finding new ways to adavnce the words we use so commonly. if we wanted literal terms we would read a freaking dictionary. you say these girls arnt lady like but whats lady like? staying in the lines being a good little girl. its a new generation. they still have everything a lady has except theyve stepped it up a notch. i say props to them

  • This entire video was about the literal definition of words. That's all that will be discussed.

  • I didn't expect to get any feedback from the store. Especially since I didn't even put the store's name in the tags. And GoDaddy is where I purchase my domain names for my business.

  • you a girly girl?? Nahhh lol. But - i TOTALLY agree w/ what u said. I wanted to do a vid response, but im shy lol. But yeh its not classy to have semi-nude/nude women in your face to sell ur product, granted its lingirie (sp?). It has its place, but as a man i dont want to have to avert my eyes when passing certain stores, nor would i want my children to be exposed to that. Ah yeh, i agree tho. Good video. You make a VERY good point. Thanks

  • Uh Oh. DO NOT watch the last few seconds of the video I just uploaded! I'm serious! It's footage from Bike Week. My dad's the regional president of the Christian Motorcyclists Assoc., so I hang with bikers... and video tape =/

My issue with VS was with their misuse of the definition of the word "classy". A lot of the comments have been about mannequins placed in suggestive poses. Our store doesn't do that. It's just the way they promote themselves that seems so dirty!

  • Girl, I really like you. I'm so glad I found and subed to you. I totally agree on about 95% of all the vids I've seen thus far. Keep up the good work....oh and you explain things so very well. Hugs Sherry

  • Thanks! =)

  • Actually, I have all my clothes custom tailored to fit me. But I have Fibromyalgia, which sometimes prevents me from being able to wear another top underneath my suits. And most suits are made to be worn that way, which means, without the top underneath, they don't fit properly. So I've used the product that was created specifically for this problem.

BTW, 3 strikes and you're out.

  • As you say yourself at the beginning of your rant, "It's a matter of opinion." What you are doing here is not only expressing your opinion, you are making yourself a judge. When ypou set yourself up as a judge of this or that (as opposed to actually having been asked, appointed or elected by others to be a judge)it is an exercise in that most unchristian (nowhere condoned in the bible) sin, PRIDE. You seem like a proud woman, perhaps that is your greatest if not only fault. Judge not biblegirl7.

  • And your comment doesn't sound the least bit judgmental. I mean, it's not like you were reading actual definitions of words or anything, in the writing of this comment.

  • Basically you summed up everything there. When I think of trashy I think of those people who dress way too sexy (I mean that in a bad way). These are the same people who slam people for no reason. There are those who like the "bad boy" type who treats women like objects. The classy is basically where a person is very clean and shows dignity. That's all I can think of for right now.

  • Very well said =)

  • Thanks.

  • i want you damn it

  • Several people have mentioned the manequins and their poses. I haven't noticed that here. I may have to take a trip to the mall and investigate further.

  • Great video. Interesting topic of discussion..I completely agree. I almost think its embarrassing to go in there anymore. Hmm..I don't know how they could revert back to their once 'classy' store. They'd have to get rid of the marketing team for sure!

  • I don't think they have any intentions of going back to being "classy" ;)

  • Some of our sex industry has abandoned classy for trashy for sheerly fiscal reasons. It is a flaw of free trade (capitolism). Nothing is perfect. Supply and demand... only the biggest corperate entities can take the losses but still profit from classy when trashy is in demand.

Free trade has its price. Morality in this global economy is not as popular as most say it is or should be.

Personally, I am part of the problem. I like the trashy scene among others.

  • But my video was about the words they chose. I don't like their ads or their approach but I wouldn't have made a video about that. I got annoyed when they chose to call themselves "classy". I read the definitions in the video. The shoe doesn't fit.

  • I was just commenting on your opinions in the video. You already clearly established the definition and I agreed with them (mostly). I did get the point of the video. I was making a "side comment" and I was not being irrelevant. I meant no disrespect, my dear.

  • I didn't take it as disrespect. I just have a few comments here that show that the viewers obviously didn't watch the entire video, or just didn't get what I was saying. I thought you may have been one of those. Sorry =)

  • No need for the apologies. We both needed to clear the air. You and I are new to each other. I knew about you for a while and I assumed (from your username [I am a fan of Zarbod]) that you were a stuffy, frumpy fundie... so I mostly ignored you.

We both were guilty of prejudice. Who was I to judge you?

I think you are fabulous. If I judge you, please put me in my place. Expect me to do the same. ;)

  • <:o)

I think most of the miscommunications happen when we're all trying to communicate our thoughts through these short little snippets of text. It's easy to get the wrong idea. No biggie =) ... I don't think anyone has ever called me stuffy or frumpy before though. LOL!!! Fundie? Maybe I've been called that. But not to my face! =P

  • And eating disorders among teens!

  • The only "eating disorders" I see in America is everybody looks like the back side of Jupiter...If there was so much pressure to "be thin"(as we are constantly told),we would have skinnier people...that is not what I'm seeing....

  • True, too much of society is manufactured for the perfect person that does not exist. So awful and wrong.

I am 26 and never shop at VS anymore. Since it does not cater to me either.

  • I haven't been able to wear their bras since around the time I worked their. The irony is, with so many women getting breast implants, you'd think they'd want to have something for them.

  • So true. It seems they adapted the younger crowd, but rejected the original older crowd. Maybe they are trying to be more hip and failed. Everytime I did find a bra in that store, not too long after...it was discontinued. Talk about turning customers off to liking the store.

  • I just find it funny that at the mall near me VS is right next to Motherhood Maternity. It's like "before" and "after."

I haven't paid attention to the store near me though since I don't shop there. (Target underwear is fine for me.) Although I must say their market materials that I've seen aren't classy in my opinion. To me it's worse than Fredrick's because at least Fredrick's doesn't pretend to be classier than they are.

  • LOL. Before and After. That is pretty funny. And yeah. Frederick's doesn't try to pretend to be something it's not.

  • I can't get BGonthecatwalk to work! Ugh!

  • I think it's working now.

  • I didn't read the rest of the comments but I assume that you are refering to Victoria's Secret. The sales people are the ones who make it trashy or classy in my humble opinion. It all depends on who is minding the store. Congrats on becoming a partner by the way = )

  • Thanks about the partner. And actually VS, after creating a series of tacky videos, then remodeling our local store to look like a whore house, decided to sling insults at others and refer to themselves as "classy". So I got a dictionary and thesaurus and presented the definitions of classy. There models may be classy, but our local store has by far, missed the mark!

  • The whole world is turning from class to crass unfortunately.

  • I completely agree!

  • I am not a girly girl and if being delicate and dainty is what it means to be classy then I don't want to be it. I respect myself as a child of God and wearing indelicate lingerie doesn't change that. What makes a woman trashy is taking what is done behind closed doors into public as do all those who participate in posting near-naked women all over advertisements and such. As far as what goes on in the bedroom between man and wife, I say whatever floats your boat!

  • yeah but this video isnt saying that VS lingerie is trashy, its saying that the way its advertised and presented nowadays is trashy while it used to be feminine and classy. also that on the godaddy website someone argued that VS was still "classy" while this is obviously not true. but shes not saying that your lingerie makes you trashy. watch the vid again=)

  • Thank you! That's exactly what the video was about. =) I was focusing on the definition of the words used, in relation to the 2 companies who were slinging insults at each other.

  • dmurawskirocks said exactly what I would have said. But I wanted to add that there were MANY other words in the dictionary to define classy. But this video was about 2 specific corporations and the insults they were slinging at each other. So I only used the definitions that pertained to this subject.

  • yeah that kind of goes for all of you, like watch the whole video through and understand what it's saying before you post comments =)but oh well ill still give you all thumbs up anyways

  • Everything's relative. That store was never high quality when it came right down to it, thier fabrics were always cheap, and thier lingerie always looked like it was made by asian boys in the 3rd world, with the exception of a couple types of specialty bras. Most likely they've been facing pressure from quality lingerie that's available online more and more, so they've been forced to become in marketing exactly what they've always been, cheap.

  • Actually, I still have 3 sets of silk nighties with matching kimono robes from 16 years ago. They're in perfect condition. Although I have to agree with you about the quality of the panties. But the video was not about the quality of the merchandise, so much as the word they chose to describe themselves, which by it's own definition is the opposite of the way they portray themselves in their decor and advertising =)

  • I hate that store! One of the window displays I consider the most tacky is when they have the ugly mannequins in the underwear doing "sexy" poses but their legs are all spread and they're raunchy. There are probably 5 mannequins in this one particular mall window... right across from the Disney Store and a couple stores down from the Children's Place... that's trashy.

  • Yikes! Ours aren't that bad. But we are pretty close to the bible-belt.

  • Yeah, I live in the SF Bay area, so... it's pretty far out in left-field, you know. And that was in one of the smaller cities, not San Francisco proper...

  • If I'm ever in Denver, I'm going to have to go and reminisce =)

  • I swear, I have footage of that conversation! It's really hilarious. But I can never bring myself to post it, even on the brattygirl7 channel =/ Sometimes my conscience is a pain in the butt! :P

  • We'd get in a fight :P J/K But we have a lot of footage that we can't use because the subject matter becomes unusable. As in, why wear pants on camera if no one can see? Etc., etc... =/

  • Thanks for subbing! =D And really? There's still a store with the classy look? I miss it =( What state are you in?

  • LOL @ granny panties! And it's VS. I put the blog link in the description.

  • I would say my definition for classy would probably be something like elegant or pretty, and for trashy something like raunchy, or something like that.

  • You're a walking dictionary =D

  • LOL

  • It's fascinating to me that a store named after a prudish queen would be so tawdry. I agree with what you're saying, though I haven't been in this particular store in some time. I worked at another popular retailer about 4 years ago when it was rebranding itself, and much the same happened here. The store went from having a classy old world aristocratic feel to feeling like a night club. It's absolutely gutting to think of my lovely brand being presented like some West End nightclub.

  • Actually, Queen Victoria's secret WAS that she was a prude in public, but wore sexy lingerie underneath it all ;)

  • Good point. I wonder what the percentage is of women who are watching?

  • Probably not a lot compared to the men, but I'd wager there's something to marketing geared towards boyfriends and husbands, especially with Valentine's Day right around the corner. :)

  • I know of quite a few women who "pretend" to be excited about sports, just to make their men happy O.o I hate sports.

  • its 8gavin8 here my old one got baned just to say :(

  • Gavin, What did you do?

  • it was evil cnn/fox lol

  • You know youre old when you whine about the standards of the day.

  • I'm not whining about the standards of the day. I'm taking issue with misuse of words. I hate that! I think that was in my I Have Issues videos. For crying out loud. Words are to be taken literally. I actually like lingerie. I'm not that stuffy. But I don't look a sleazy ad and call it classy =/

  • I was drunk when I wrote that... Ignore :D

  • OK. It's time for you to stop doing that. No more drunk commenting.

  • I know and I known for some time now. Please dont hate me :D

  • it may be because I'm young...well not too young but I'm 20, anyway I've always thought they were really sleazy. i can't believe at one point they were a classy establishment.

  • I swear the store used to be decorated in Victorian themes and played classical music. And the focus was more on expensive silk nighties, robes, stockings, etc. They always had lingerie, which was fine with me because the presentation was elegant.

  • I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

    Video response coming soon.

  • I thought you'd forgotten about me =(

  • Geez, you are not "OLD." I am 56 and have never set foot in a VS. I have always found them disgusting. I wear 100 % cotton Fruit of the Loom briefs--to the waist and to the top of my thigh--no high cuts--yes "old lady underwear." I could NEVER put on a pair of the junk they sell nor would I be caught dead in one of thier stores. Yuk!!

  • LOL!!!! OK. You're officially stuffier than me. Yay!

  • I fell asleep after 20 sec while watching this ;[

  • I like black, even black walls, I think they can be very dramatic and offer a great contrast. It reminds me of a classic stage. But because of that quality it's very to go over the top with it and if that's your intention that's fine, just be honest about it. Btw I checked, but there aren't a lot of overseasstores yet, if any.

  • It wasn't really the black that was the problem. It was everything else that was added to it that gave it a sleazy feel. And they don't have any stores in Europe? I'm really surprised since they do the runway shows.

  • I was surprised to, since the name is very familiar but I've never seen one over here, and I'm in Amsterdam regularly. But I googled it and there was a newsitem from 2005 stating they were going to open their first overseas store in heathrow airport.

  • Okay...I am a guy so my opinion may not be taken seriously. But when I look at the commercials for "said Corp." I don't see trashy...per-say...Do I think it's a little overboard...yes. Now when you compare the GoDaddy commercials...they are indeed classy compared to that.

  • The girls in the "Corp.'s" commercials are classy enough that they only go as far as what you see in the commercials. It's not like they do that to INTENTIONALLY look like they do. They are models and they just happen to have good enough body's to do lingerie. Now if you watch the GoDaddy's commercials you will understand the reason why they don't want to show them.

  • So, do I think GoDaddy is Trashy...definitely... and is "Corp." classy?...No...definitely not. Those models are out to do one thing...model...and if it does anything else, then that is beyond "the Corp.'s" hands all together...

...That is my (not so) 2 cents. ^_^

  • I hadn't given much thought to the actual models. So yes, they themselves usually come across as classy. But the stores? No way. And the commercials that felt like I in a sleazy bar? Never. And this whole video was just my .01 cent =P

  • This is kinda bratty though huh?

  • Isn't everything?

  • I have a friend who sends me gifts from "this store" because of her own stock options. I remember the million dollar bra and 3 million dollar bra. I've noticed that they have gotten "cheaper" myself. I haven't apparently seen the new store. Now I'm curious...

  • They're not uniform so I don't know what yours will look like. The comment above yours says hers is still pink and black. And my cousins gave me some lip gloss from VS for Christmas that I really like. And I still have some really nice silk nighties and kimono robes from when I worked there. I just can't believe that with their new look, they had the audacity to call themselves "classy" =/

  • our store in my mall is pink and gold. i like the way ours looks. maybe its just the owner that changed the way it looked rather than the brand? i've never seen any of their commercials though so i have no opinion on them.

  • The Limited, which is the parent corporation, dictates how they have to look, but it's not an exact order since the stores come in different sizes, depending on the population. And, how soon the update probably has something to do with how much money they make too. Or it may have to do with when the peak season will be. We're about to enter the time of year when all the NASCAR races and Bike Week, etc., happen.

  • These stores go with what sells. So though it offends you personally it must be popular with the majority of people. Were it not and had sales fallen off they would be going back to what you consider classy. I'm not judging one way or another as I don't watch their shows nor do I go to their stores. But, I can almost promise you that if it doesn't have a positive effect on their bottom line they won't do it.

  • I'm not talking about what they sell. I have no problem with lingerie at all. My issue was that they actually called their ads classy. But by definition, they're now the opposite of classy, in how they present themselves. Several commenters have said they're now targeting the teens. But unless they've drastically reduced their prices, I don't know how that's going to work. BTW, it's good to see you around =)

  • in milwaukee wisconsin victorias secret was being boycotted by the public for the manicans being suggestive and the laundry more provakative, anywho the boycot didnt work and in response VS put 4 more manicans in their small window display in the mall. apparently modern sex appeal is instead of having the confidence to be sexy in what u wear, they are trying to make the sexy wearable if that makes sense. i dont think the word trashy really describes it i think a better word would be desperate.

  • Hmm. I don't know if I would be bothered by the manequins if they were just wearing lingerie. I mean, that is what the store is selling. My issue was with them slinging insults and actually thinking that their own image is classy. In our mall, it's not just manequins in the windows. It's the entire store! They may as well start selling blow up dolls too. (Did I just say that? ) :P

  • BTW, CONGRATS on becoming partner.

That store is beyond whore house now. Since when I was getting my first bra, back in 1992/1993, that store was so fancy. Most of my friends back then knew if you got something from there, you were mature and rich! Now, it's trashy and a teeny bopper/sluty crap. If you are over a size c bra, forget buying anything.

  • I haven't been inside the store in a long time. But their bras have never fit me very well. So have they lowered the prices?

  • They still have 5 panties for 25 bucks. Same here about the bras. The sizing runs super small. The walls are still pink, but they play loud hip hop music. No more mozart and great classical stuff. I go in there and feel old, most people in there are STILL in high school and I am 26, almost 27.

  • Our store isn't pink anymore. I was so shocked at it's horrid theme that I didn't commit to memory, what it actually looked like. I'll have to go look again.

  • Our store is super pink. It looked like a bottle of pepto bismol exploded. I have never seen a VS store go black ever!

  • HAHAA! Pepto Bismol exploded! LOL.

  • It's so pink, it gross. Way too much!

  • Thank you. I went in once in high school and asked for a 36D. The sales lady said that size doesn't exist. Really, what did she think I was wearing?

  • lol! That is insane she said that to you. I am a high C and it's hard to find a bra. Crazy!

  • wow...by the way-way to go youtube PARTNER! i was wondering when this would happen! haha! ps your ad next to you is Maxim's vid and pic from the "hottest girls" just seems a little ironic. And Im neutral on this because I have not taken the pleasure or time to visit Victorias whore house but I side with you BG! you are stubborn but wise and always have a good heart. by the way this weekend I will post my vid of meeting my youtube fan! great points

  • Victoria's Whore House. LOL. I'm going to call it that from now on! I'm serious! And I can't see any of the ads beside my video. I'm sure that was intentional on You Tube's part because nobody at a partner's IP is allowed to click on one of the partner's ads! So I can't even log out and view anything =/

  • 10 yrs is a good estimate. I stopped shopping there about 10 yrs ago when it started getting weird. I was very disappointed that they changed their lines.

  • VS I mean; I have no idea what a godaddy is.

  • LOL. Godaddy sells domain names.

  • I shop at victorias secret for the bras...theyre the only kind that I feel very supported in--way too expensive, and the times where I do shop is when theyre on sale

  • Have they remodeled your local store? I know they're not all decorated the same. I'm sure the clothing is the same quality as it's always been. I'm just wondering if all the stores now look the whore houses =/

  • I always say those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Now Go Daddy's comercials are far from classy... However the lingerie store... i'll call it "Tori's Secret" is just as trashy as Go Daddy.

So the moral to the stroy is... the representative should look around before catipulting stones.

  • I had to cut the part where I said I've never seen a GoDaddy ad since I don't watch the SuperBowl. But I wasn't trying to defend GoDaddy anyway. They weren't the ones calling names. I just couldn't believe VS had the gall to consider themselves "classy" O_o. They lost that image at least 15 years ago when they got rid of the Victorian themed stores.

  • You said TRAMP! LOL!

I used to shop a lot at VictoriaSecrets! Haven't been in one for a while. Vulgar now! As soon as I recover I'll run down to one.

Hon, that's a different meaning of indelicate. That one means blunt or rough. Psychological not physical -- in this case.

  • YOU think the store is vulgar? Wow. I just can't believe how low they've sunken. I'm totally serious when I tell you that 16 years ago the store was Victorian themed and focused on tasteful lingerie in the front of the store, and bras, panties and stockings were tucked away, very discreetly in the back.

  • I don't think I remember it ever being classy, I've pretty much always thought of it as trashy...how would it be possible for that store to have ever been classy??

  • Well first of all, they just sell under garments and lingerie. Nothing wrong with that part. And my daughter is almost 18 now, so when she was a baby, the store was decorated as "Victorian" and they actually played classical music. As a matter of fact, at that time, the primarily sold silk nightgowns with matching kimono robes (I still have 3 sets). The bras and panties were all kept very discreetly in the back of the store.

  • Yeah nothing would be wrong with that, but as long as I can remember it's basically just been to sell 'sex.' That's crazy how much it has changed, I am almost 18 myself. I just can't picture VS trying to sell anything except for 'sex.'

  • Well, you're probably right about them trying to sell sex, no matter how it was packaged for the public. After all, lingerie is along those lines. But now, they've stepped SO far over the line that I can't see how they're going to stay in business. Even in this depraved society, most people still have SOME scruples.

  • I think you are looking at it as a lifestyle change and they are looking at it as a marketing ploy. If it doesn't work they will change it long before they go out of business.

  • Actually, I'm just focused on the words. By definition, the decor cannot be called classy. I checked several different dictionaries. (Yes, I'm anal retentive. Especially about words!)

  • LOL!!!

  • I have seen the commercials since I don't watch TV anymore and I don't go to the malls. I stay out of such places anyway but I guess it could be easy to slip into being trashy.

  • I had to edit the video to get it under 10 minutes. It was the "angels" stomping down the runway with the smoke and the rock music commercials. And now the store looks like, well, I already said what it looks like. But there's nothing wrong with lingerie. I assume the product is still the same. But the atmosphere is horrendous!

  • Congrats on being made partner!!! I'm afraid I'm having a hard time thinking of a decent classy vs. trashy comment. I guess the store thing might be a little subjective. Without question they're driven by the bottom line and feel there's more money in trash than class:)

  • I got hung up on the actual definitions of the words. I do that a lot. I take words very literally. I just couldn't believe they called themselves classy O.o

  • My parents, who were incredibly legalistic, always told me growing up that I had no business going there...as well as the movie theater, bowling alley, skating rink, dancing, any place that sold alcohol...the list went on and on. As a result, I think I go a little too far the other direction. So I wouldn't be a good person to speak in that regard.

However, one can be sexy without being tastelessly showy or having an air of promiscuity (casual, haphazard, indiscriminate in sexual behavior)

  • Holy crap! And I thought my parents were strict! Geez. When you're married there's certainly nothing wrong with wearing ANYTHING you feel like wearing! ;)

  • im guessing your talking about victoria's secret?

  • Yes. I wasn't sure if once I was accepted into the partner program, if I would be allowed to say the name. Especially since I new I wanted to let them put ads on this one. But I posted the link to the blog in the description and it says the name there, so I guess it's no big deal.

  • oh ic ic :P

  • Anyone else think the ad banner is ironic for this topic?

  • I can't see it! Only you guys can =/

  • oh dear, let's just say it's a girl with a good bit of cleavage showing. Wants you to join so you can talk to girls like that or something.

  • O.o

  • ha ha...

    whore house...

im going to use that prase now...

  • You'd better not! Shame on you! LOL

  • pppsh.

    you said it first

  • But I'm old.

  • thats true...

    JUST KIDDINNN!!!

that probley got me grounded or sent to my room or sumthing

  • Ummmm, go write sentences or something! I'm running out of punishments. LOL!

  • lol...

thank goodness you arent my coach.

you would go make me do laps around the track....ughh

  • I'll keep that in mind for your next mishap.

  • ...then i might as well start running

  • Silly girl

  • suuure...lets go with that

  • Our "store (leaves out name)" looks like a sex shop. I've never been to a sex shop, but I can imagine.

It's all about sex appeal... ugh...

We don't have clothes at ours. It must be because I'm from a small-town.

  • There are no pajamas either? Oh wow. I have 3 sets of silk nighties with matching kimono robes from ours. Of course I've had them for 16 years... LOL! At least they still fit!

  • Well, when you're older, you'll appreciate the lingerie more. But even that can be presented in a classy way. It's just sad that I can remember when the store was just "pretty" and it was truly classy =(

  • Thanks. I thought I was doing the opposite of my usual though. I RARELY encourage any type of debate. But this one pushed my buttons. I'm a stickler for anything literary and the VS rep clearly doesn't know the definition of "classy". =/

  • The ads on this video are interesting. Earlier, it was an ad for Maxim... Now, it's 2 text ads for "Heidi Klum Bikini Shoot" (heavy. c o m) and "Lingerie Teen" (shopzilla).

  • Really? There were no ads showing at all when I checked before. LOL. But hey, maybe I'll make a nickel or two! LOL That's You Tube's generous partner program.

  • Just wanted to contribute $.0001 to the biblekids college fund. =P

  • HAHAAAA! Thanks! But she has a scholarship. Yay! However, she is entering video contests to cover the extra fees (there are always extras) like her dorm, books, food, etc.

  • My guess as to which chain you were referring to turned out to be correct. Not having been in one of their stores for some time, and not being able to get much of an impression from either the blog or that chain's web site, I can't comment on it much.

However, words that came to mind based on your description of what you saw were 'sinister' and 'angry' - not sure why.

Ps. Congrats on the partnership thing! Did this really take 7 hours to go live??

  • Sinister and angry... from me or the corporations? And yes! The monetized vids can take up to 48 hours to be viewed and approved and THEN, YT can change their minds and remove the video O_o

  • I think this is the same thing Lemonette was referring to when they first let her into the program. Someone told me people get around it by letting the video go live without being monitized, then they monitize it after it's public (you just don't get credit for any clicks taking place before the ad is applied, apparently).

And, no, I meant the feel of the store's presentation.

  • I thought about doing that, but I'm still new and I don't want to get in trouble =/

  • For clothes, I love it. But in the store it gave me a headache. LOL

  • I guess you had a shock huh? LOL But VS is not a cheap brand. Why would they market to a clientele who can't afford it? At one time, they had the corner on the market for the elegant ladies. Now the upper-tier department stores have that niche.

  • The odd thing is their market isn't really teenagers. It's 20 and 30 year olds who are still stuck in a "teenager" mind set. I personally do not think that mind set needs to be encouraged.

  • That would apply to me. :P

I was a teen in the 80s. Check out my username. I did change since then but I still have one foot in the 80s (my teenage years).

  • Me too =) I'm graduated from high school in the 80s.

  • I SHOULD have graduated in the early 90's... I was a bad boy. I am still an 80's guy.

YOU SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND, BABY RIGHT ROUND...
