  • Roby,

Just stopping by after a long while, so great to hear this again. Thanks. beginning @ 3:02 sounds a lot like Volker Strifler who has played a lot with Robben Ford. Do you know of Robben Ford Or Volker Strifler ? Fabulous work you are doing! Love ya!

  • @applejak2000

    Thank you, I'm honored.

I know both Robben Ford (obviously) than Volker Strifler. The latter, is a very underated guitar player.

  • You really nail Bloomfield -- outstanding work! Have you written the tab for this?

  • @DrTMSBlues

Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

Sorry, but I never written tabs.

  • I'd hire you.

    Damn.

  • @NathanBellSax

  • Some of it sounds like Bloomfield. Your a good player. Bloomfield was the best player. There r jazz scales you could throw in there. I love that you are playing an Epiphone.

Thank you so much for commenting.

    Glad if you like.

  • Great job!

  • @tubeamp

    Thank a lot for commenting.

  • Good playing. I can only imagine how much practice it took to get there. But the only reason I found your video is because I thought it was going to be Bloomfield himself. Change the title to "STORMY MONDAY (Michael Bloomfield cover)" and people like me wont feel like we have been mislead.

  • @schmirk2

Thank you so much for commenting.

I changed the title, following your suggest.

    Regards

  • Good job!

  • @jakeizlove

Thank you so much for commenting.

  • You have the nerve to steal someones name and then whine when critized. Do you really think there's any other way you got over 100,000 hits other than stealing Bloomfield's name. It is a lot better to be too proud to be a thief rather than whine and blame someone who call's you one it.

  • @scottduncan44

    to Mr: scottduncan44:

LISTEN TO ME! IN MY LIFE, NO ONE EVER CALLED ME A THIEF! YOU UNDERSTAND? IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY VIDEO OR YOU'RE JEALOUS OF MY 100.000 AND OVER VIEWS, IS YOUR PROBLEM.

JUST ONE MORE THING! IF YOU CONTINUE TO OFFEND, I'LL REPORT THE FACT TO THE YOUTUBE MANAGEMENT.

    I ADVERTISED YOU!!!!!

  • The Guitar playings fine but what a surprise to find that not only is Mike Bloomfield still alive put playing guitar karaoke in Italy. Unless of course someone just happened to use his name with out permission to get people to accidently hit their video. Of course no one would be such an asshole to try and get over 100,000 hits by fraud. Get it ass wipe-you are not Michael Bloomfield and you dishonor his legacy by putting his name on your bedroom wankings.

  • @scottduncan44

You didn't understand anything! Probably, you're not a musician. With this video I tried to pay tribute to a great Musician and I'm not interested in the number of views. if you have a little time, read some of the comments I received. Only yours is so offensive.

I can tell you that many watchers have thanked me 'cause I gave him the urge to listen or rediscover the great Mike Bloomfield.

By the way, thanks very much for watching and commenting.

  • @scottduncan44 completely unnecessary and spiteful remark. Your rather indulgent use of profanity shows that you just came here to make a vicious attack against some guy whose just jamming along. You could of easily realised from the first 5 seconds that this wasn't Michael Bloomfield and closed the page. If you are a musician then you sure aren't showing the compassion and warmth that 99% of them show!

  • Do you live close toNashville? Want to jam?

  • @dandamagetoo

    Ha ha ha ha !!!

My friend, I live in Italy, sorry.

Thanks a lot for watching and commenting and if you like, I'm very glad.

  • Mike Bloomfield himself would have been proud of you.

  • @EasyAce

    Thank you so much.

I'm very happy and honored to have received your comment.

  • Wow man just wow.

I stumbled upon your videos while searching for Going Down covers and I'm really digging your tone in all the videos I saw.

    Great job.

Congratulations on the vibrato, Bloomfields vibrato is amazing and you got the feel of it.

    Awesome playing. Thanks.

    Subscribed.

  • @BSIAB

    Thanks to you, my friend.

I'm very glad and honored if you find something of interesting in my performances.

  • @acerods

    Thanks so much for commenting.

    I appreciate your comment.

  • Hi Robi, It's nice to hear people haven't forgot about Bloomfield! I really like what you do on this song, I wish I was good enough to sound like you. Someday, I'd love to hear you give "The Supernatural" by Peter Green a shot, think you would nail it. By the way, if you're ever interested in reading a really good book about Michael Bloomfield, Amazon carries it - "Michael Bloomfield - If You Love These Blues: An Oral History (Book)" it includes a cd of his early stuff also.

  • @bluzaholic

Thank a lot for watching and commenting.

i'm very glad and honored if you like.

I got a "Supernatural" backing track. In the future I'll try to post it.

  • Wow this is nice, love that BB quaver!....Just when I think I know music , I find another gem and get put to shame! As an aside, no slight to you ,I really like Albert King's live version with Gary Moore too.

  • @Spartreeman

Thank you so much for watching and commenting.

I'm very glad if you like.

    Regards.

  • I like your vibrato dude. Nice feel you got there=Nice vib ;)

  • @gnetix1

    Thanks so much!

    Glad if you like.

  • Dude...your better than you think you are...Play like you mean it!!

  • @Bradcbutler

    Thanks a lot.

    I'm honored.

  • As a pro blues guitarist, I find it that using Bloomfield's name in you video title is a cheap way to draw attention to your average playing. Your creativity level is low in that you are using basically two positions on your neck, repeating the same thing over and over and then speeding it up. Work on your bends bringing them to the correct note and start to bone-up in on other scales that work with the blues.

  • Sounds good to me. I saw Mike play with the E. Flag and with his Mike Bloomfield and Friends. He was great and always so easy to talk to. He let me hold his Les Paul and I felt so honored. What a great player he was and so are you for learning this. Lightnin' Willie

  • @lightninwillie

    thanks a lot

Mike was a great, great and soulful guitar player

  • Very fukkin good!!!

Such feeling. More power to ya!!

I am a big fan of Mike.

    Thank you so much!

  • Very nicely done - wish I could play that well! (Why don't you just delete comments made by morons and choose to approve all comments before they are posted?)

  • @anthonypepitoneVideo

Thank you so much for watching and commenting

I accept all kind of comments but I'm very glad to say that comments are always good

  • roby62gtr - You just have this way pickin' it, that it melts in my ears. I've heard a lot of wannabees posting stuff, that I could't comment. You're the real deal, and all the way from Denmark (a blues lovin' nation) you get my best. What skills - what a feeling. Thnx for sharing so much. BluesPower and Love....

  • @JoeThorify

i'm very proud and honored to have received your nice comment

    Thanks a lot

  • the problem i have with you is that your fucking good on that guitar and its going to take me forever to get to your standard and that pisses me off. you make it look easy and that pisses me off too.

i'm not kean on people who preach about god, i think there narrow minded fools. regards

  • @thehomefront

Thank you so much for watching and commenting

  • roby62gtr. do you have a strong bond with god?

  • @thehomefront

    Why?

  • whats with the stupid faces, bet your wife thinks your a right twat

  • @thehomefront its called *FEEL*...when a guitarist bonds truly with his/her instrument they WILL make faces...they WILL dance around..they will sing shout and weep...the last thing ANYBODY wants is a humanoid playing machine..please understand that..respect peace

  • @thehomefront

    Thanks a lot for commenting

  • Wow, really nice marriage of technique and feel.

  • @ToddGilmore

I'm very glad and honored to have received your nice comment.

    Thanks a lot.

  • This is amazing, inspirational and a sterling piece of work. You have added to the same play list as Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck .

I will be looking into more of your work...who knows, you may need your OWN play list!!!

    Rock on sir!

  • @rpfifferling

I'm very proud to have received your wonderful comment.

But I must say that I'm only a decent guitar player.

Johnny, Eric, Jeff (and Michael, Jimi, Rory, Jimmy and many others) are great monsters.

Thanks a lot and hats off to You.

  • Wow, you nailed it ....

  • @MrMike3865

  • @russellbvi

    Yes, I agree with you

    Thanks a lot for commenting

  • I live near the Blue Bird and I think I have heard raving reviews about you. You ever been to B-town or anywhere near? If so, ever consider "guest playing" for a local college/faculty band that has just started out and desperately needs a lead guitarist? (Cuz ours is never able to make it rehearsal, but it wouldn't hurt to have some dueling guitars going if he did lol)

  • @aydyar08

I live in Italy, my friend.

I like to play will all friends that love the Blues.

  • Love the turn around at 1:07. So perfect. Can u tab it? Great, tasteful playing

  • @jclev99

Sorry, my friend, but the tabs of this solo was in my head. If I play today this tune, surely could be different.

I never used tabs. To play the Blues, they are not necessary.

    Thank you very much.

I'm proud and honored to have received your comment.

  • Wow! Italy has opera and pasta. Now I know it's got an amazing R&B guitar player as well. Is there no end to Italian genius?

  • Thank you so much for this nice comment.

Italian genius? Actually? Since a long time ago but in these times in there not italian genius.

  • Great sound and I'm not talking about amp or guitar...... I would love to have that backing track!

  • Thank you very much.

I don't mind where I put this backing track, but if I search it, I'll send you.

  • Roberto,

Hi again, Pleeeease use a Gibson Les Paul with It's "Not my Cross to Bear", remain true to the original sound if you can -- you know that nice and warm sound of a Gibson Les Paul that Dickey Betts and Duane Allman used to favor so much. Just a suggestion. :)

    Peace old friend. Cheers

  • Roberto,

what about doing " It's Not My Cross to Bear" ???

    Give it some thought.

  • " It's Not My Cross to Bear" ?

I'll pay much of money, to got a backing track of this fantastic tune !!!!

I think this is one of the best Allman's songs.

  • Have you tried any of the other Bare Knuckle "Vintage" pickups?

  • No, I'm sorry

    I never tired these pick-ups

  • wow...what sweet playin......i hope your out there somewhere......playin.....

  • thank you very much for this comment.

  • And I play it as loud as my wife and the neighbors will stand it (and then some!)...and they can't make me turn down..... I say TOO BAD!!

  • Take your guitar and play loud, my Friend !

  • Sometime around 3:05 in this video, you remind me of Volker Strifler.

  • Thank you, I'm honored if you think I got something of Volker Strifler, a very master of the blues guitar.

  • Roberto,

Just stopping in for recurring injection! Man I needed it so bad!! LOL!

  • Feel the Blues, take a guitar and fly with the emotions!

  • Way to rip it roby62gtr! You have the chops! It's great to see that it is possible to play soulful and emotional blues without a hat and sunglasses. I loved your facial expressions - so clear to see you were having a great time playing this. Just so you know, I had a great time listening. You have a wonderful talent - play on!

  • @azguitardaddy - > I'm very honored to have received your nice comment.

I'm also very happy if you have got some beautiful moments, hearing this performance.

    Still thanks

    Roberto

  • I would just like to say Michael, that was refreshing!
