NO TASERS for law enforcement. Only officers with advanced training and experience should be allowed to carry firearms. This will force law enforcement to develope their communication skills and their interactions with the public. It will stop them from working from an ego and power hungry position. They will have to work on a much different level if they do not have tasers and immediate access to firearms. They would be less bullying and it would also help their public image.

Yah, its a police tool, just like any other. Every discharge of it should be highly regulated, just like any of the other weapons they employ. The risk lies in it being abused, because it seems less likely to kill its target. Punitive use by overzealous officers who believe themselves to be judge and jury has happened and probably will happen again. This behavior is effectively torture in my opinion, and we should treat the perpetrators like the criminals they are.
