Clip them for very long and you will fry the voice coil, been there done that, reconing them was more like $275.00 a piece, but yes awesome speakers, but not bullet proof, i run 1000 watts into them, no clipping, they are very punchy and will bang all day and night, good luck Hatch Sound

was the measurement you performed in dB(a)?

because 94.4 isn't really that loud if you have quite a few people in front of you?

@stefanmplayer 90 dB is equivalent if you stand 1meter away from a factory machine and 110 is a rock concert and 130 dB is a jet engine at 100ft

its i recomended at clubs to have no more that 99dB which is like having a blow dryer next to ur ears

I pushed 2000W to it from Crown I-tech 8000. Clipping on beat and nothing happened even after few hours of playing.

i know, they are very durable.

i got 2 of em now.

but my amp has not enough power with 2500watt @4ohm for both,

i think i need an amp with 4000watt @4 ohm.

the electical resistance is very low.

normally you have around 6,3 ohm on a 8 ohm nominal driver.

the jbl 2268H driver has something around 5.2

so if you use both at the same time you have in the first moment an electical resistance of 2.6-2.8ohm!

@PoisonYvy I-tech 8000 has 4000w at 4ohm per channel. I use it with two these subs per channel - 2x8ohms in parallel gives 4ohms. I-tech amps are 2ohm stable. I can connect 4ohms sub in bridge mode.

yeah, i know.

I-Tech8000 is a nice durable super amp. but the price...

i try to get a used crown Macrotech MA-5002VZ if i find one in good condition.

the drivers have 3200peak and they need about 1600watt to have a nice punchy sound.

i like the srx718 because you can use it for all kind of music. i have also with games and movies very good results. just my neighbour dont like it.

im a bit scared in clipping etc. because i couldnt find any prices for a single 2268H or recone kit

to find out the best amp for the srx sub or and jbl subs u multiply the continuous watts by 1.5

so for the srx718 it 800 x 1.5 = 1200w for a crown amp but if u use a different amp such as Lab.gruppen, behringer or Yamaha you multiply it by 2 so its 800 x 2 = 1600w amp. or u can look at the program power of the sub or speaker than match it to an amp so srx718 program is 1600w so look at amp that gives u 1600w

Push more power to it - this yamaha in bridge mode and go to maximum power - with flashing clip and show its excursion.
