This doesnt work as well on Veteran, there are just so many grenades, eventually you get 2 in there at the same time, or you get flashed and dont see the notifier, etc. I tried this myself a number of times before looking for help with no success.

It works. :] I waited till I had to take MacMillan out of there (veteran of course), popped few flashbangs, ran for it, picked him up (I was pretty badly hurt by then) and ran in a half left circle towards DE CHOPPAH. Everything went better than expected. :)

On the hardest difficulty settings this game is fucking broken. Got that? Broke as fuck. I play a lot of shooters on the PC. This isn't just a difficult game, it's shoddy design that fails to reward realistic strategy, and just makes the AI inhumanly accurate bots with an infinite grenade supply. FAGGOTRY.

Real strategy (i.e. finding cover) goes unrewarded and eventually enough grenades get lobbed that you're pinned down and you die, or you try to make a run for a fresh spot of cover and you die.

I've tried shooting soldiers as they drop from helis, but after the first couple choppers coming one at a time, you've got three or four dropping dudes simultaneously. Your gimpy Cpt. Idiot who tries to WALK away from a heli crashing in his direction can't snipe the hordes of ruskies fast enough.

I never played this game on any difficulty other than Veteran. It's like real war. The first time around, when I played it on a friend's xbox, I found this place out. It helps, but it's still a matter of luck whether they can get one in there or not. When you have to get out, just pop flashbangs and pick up McMilan as fast as you can, you take less damage when you're carrying someone. Run to the chopper and yay.

Yes, because real war involves AN UNENDING TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR OF GRENADES, and every soldier is carrying an invisible 4 bandoliers chock full of M68s or whatever they're using. Fuck the Pripyat ferris wheel section on veteran, that shit is fucking impossible to win without getting lucky.

Good point. They fixed that on MW2, though. It's still fucking hard on Veteran, but at least every part is doable. As for the "realistic" bit, well, it kinda lost its charm after jumping over an icy chasm on a snowmobile.

so far it's working, there's 2 sheds though I got confused at first, you need the one with the shelf you can hide under. Watching those grenade markers flashing is a bit hair raising though, they really are raining down in here haha.

This is a very good strIt . ,but there is a glitch where you can back into McMillan and be invincible*. Just prone and go backwards on his left side and when he shifts you should go in him. This works on Vet.

After trying numerous times to beat this sublevel using tactics, I finally followed your example and hid in a booth although I chose the one between the ferris wheel and the bumper cars. It ultimately worked.

It's sad when you have to beat a level using a trick rather than military tactics. Oh well... Hopefully COD 5 won't make the same mistake of infinite respawns.

well ive done this on veteran for the 75 th try. I found, before he sais : enemy choppers inbound, you can run behind the building where you came from, and the enemies wont spawn from there. and u got to kill way less of them. the hard part was to get back to macmillan :P

If you want to beat it on vet you'll have to hide in the ticket booth next to the bumper cars when the helis arrive.. You'll need to guard the doorway and throw some 'nades back, and when the rescue heli arrives you will probobly need to kill a guy or 2 on the ferris wheel, but on Veteren it's the way to go.

chill out behind the bumper cars. the metal guard rails pretty much stop the bullets. from there just plant some claymore around the corner. from there you can move freely behind it and pick guys off running towards the cpt or behind the ferris wheel. plus its not nearly as gay as sitting in the shed.

i usually set the guy farther up the hill behind the ferris wheel, but i set him a little too far back and he kept sliding down, so i couldnt get back behind him like i usually do. guys all the way across the stretch were able to shoot me =P

It can work. I discovered this by accident last night on the 360. However when the chopper is about 3000 clicks out, I magically always die.

Gotta love the lame scripted grenades in the CoD series, it's my main pet hate and so poor. I'm still stuck on the same bit though but with some luck, the sad grenade spam timings will eventually go wrong while I'm in that booth and I'll make it.

the grenade was under the ledge. all the grenades that can harm me will be available for me to throw, so unless i've positioned myself wrongly or two grenades come in at the same time, there's no way i can die

grenade explosions in all games are like that. in cod4, grenade explosions don't pass through walls. if i was standing up i'd probably be dead. but because i was proning, grenades right in front of the entrance will be blocked by the small raise. think of grenade damage like novas in diablo2.

i can't believe i made it!!! I hid in the corner past the swimming pool building by a wall of bushes. Then waited for the helicopter to arrive and then just tossed grenades at enemies as i ran to the guy laying on the ground. then just carried the guy to the heli. good luck guys

This is exactly the way i beat it on veteran...it actually works...you just have to toss an occasional gernade or 2 back...then run to the captain and carry him back...you pretty much have infinite health while your carrying him.

lol stop fighting. price is somewhat a COD4 icon, and it's an infinity ward tradition to have a captain called price. he has, in fact, the same model (design), voice and personality as the price in ww2. but all three captain prices in cod1, 2 and 4 are different because the captain price in cod1 died in a submarine (or so i heard). in cod2, captain price was present in missions that took place after his death.

your not playing on veteran if you did this. I tryed that and always got killed by a gernade. The safest way to beat it on veteran is go back by the bumper cars in that little wood area and kill everyone who trys to cut threw the patch of grass to get back there.

there are intervals when the grenades are only present at the back of the shack, that's when you exit to run for mac

the hard part is going through the gunfire without dying. i spammed all my flash behind a tree before picking mac up and running for the roflcopter but my sis did it without flashing anyway

1- Price is sniping a lot of the guys heading your way

2- A lot of enemy run at the shack you hide in... Seeing as A.I. isnt the smartest thing in the world, they get blown up my enemy grenades.

worked twice so far out of about 10 tries but the two that worked were 2 of the last 3 the reasons I had to do it again were that damned dog was still out there somewhere and he atked me when I had mac wit me and the other time I got hit by a grenade on my way to him. the problem I had initially was I was under the desk, lie down but DONT move from the corner u lay down in or u cant get all the grenades that get in the box.
