All I can say is 4 words, Extra Virgin Olive Oil... You can use it as a hot oil treatment weekly and use it regularly daily, not too much because it'l weigh the hair down. If it's good for cooking, it can do wonders for the hair as well...

try making a hair moisturizer from 1/4 vegetable glycerin, 1/4 aloe vera juice/gel, and 1/2 water....it will really moisturize ur hair and make it soft

Carrot Oil is good to start with. I've moved on to Hair Mayo until I can save up some more money to buy the HASK PLACENTA that "Tallmark" suggested. Money's been tight...LOL

I used to damage my hair with blowout kits and perms. No more. It's poison. Perming and chemicals cause the hair follicle to become thin and weak. Use hair care products for BLACK PEOPLE only and the results will be different.

How long do you have to were the twists (Shortest time) to achieve an afro?

Well, the twists were temporary. I had them in for about a week. I keep it braided and wrapped; I use hair mayo, carrot oil and afro sheen spray. I pick it out every week and braid it up again. So it's really not the twists, but the braids that make it grow. But everybody's hair is different.

But do you leave the oil the whole day when you put it in the hair?

Yes. Leave it in. If you're going to bed, put in Carrot Oil and cover your head. When you get up it will be more manageable and easier to run a comb through. Sometimes mine gets a little matted, so I use conditioner to soften it up.
