  • one of the faces thats was featured in this promo was

kay burley for sky news and she still presents it now.

  • I will never understand why this track was not released as a single to buy. Still love it today.

  • I remember this. Thought I'd never hear it again. Used to play it over and over in my head all the time. Fantastic!

  • They copied channel Nine Australia We Had the same ident

  • were the one with Briians number 1?

  • you would have to call a 01 800 number and give them your cirrus card number for paperview viewing

  • in Australia, it was copied from Nine Network with the same slogan as ABC. in New Zealand, it was copied by TV2 with different lyrics.

  • More cheese, anyone?

  • Fuckin´ A! :) I still miss having Sky, and I haven´t had it since 1989. Best string of channels of all time.

  • I remember seeing this when I was a little kid

  • Sky is a ripoff when it comes to satellite;Freesat offers stuff you don't pay for.

  • Does anybody know who are singing?

  • At times they played this before on sky news before the news on the hour

  • Happy Birthday, Sky.

  • LMFAO! and we all went home to gum drop lane and ate marsh mellows with Timmy.

  • the days when eurosport was owned by sky....

  • Very nice, but yet another copy of the USA's ABC 1977 "Still The One"--the original

  • i wish we was still in the 80s the world sucks since then

  • u got that right m8

  • Thanks for the video ... sure brings back a load of memories!!

  • Holy crap! Thank you so so much for posting this! It's my like a timewarp to my childhood...Alf, Eurosport, Sky Movies, The DJ Kat Show...I decided to look for this on a whim, not seriously expecting to find it, but wow! I actually remember alot of the lyrics to this promo...sad but true - 2 thumbs up on earthing this incredibly dated, but - for me - incredibly cherished piece. Cheerio!

  • whatever happened to DJ KAT?

  • scrapped in 1995 because of poor viewing figures. :(

  • OMG! That must have seemed painfully dated even then :O

  • Actually, no.

Despite being quite "American" to some, the production and, erm, "coolness" found here destroyed everything that UK terrestrial TV was doing at the time. The indents seemed cinematic and despite the lack of UK programmes and overall input, Sky TV was incredibly attractive in the late 80s.

Notice the focus on people and their lives. Like Sky TV can help that. But it worked.

  • Nice Video.

  • Funky Bruv

  • alf hulk hogan cool bludz
