  • I want to ask something: Is Jared a beautiful soul, what do you think?- I mean, I do admire him a lot as artist, and, besides, he is that pretty, but, watching this interview, through his eyes, I have just noticed purity and a wonderful being. But maybe it is just my imagination, so, what do yu think about?. Thanks and sorry for my english.

  • I can't believe mr news man couldn't says jareds last name right! Offence!!

  • Say Leto right you twat D:

  • he is so talented and handsome !

  • i love how the guy says jared leeto :')

  • LOL I love how this counts as news. Oh the BBC :') love Jared to bits though, going to see them tomorrow!

  • Omg. Leto not Lito. Some times I'm ashamed of my country and their stupid accents. Jared is such a brilliant actor and should have had an oscar for his amazing talent and the effort he put in. <3

  • Leto not lito you idi0ts.

  • Leto not lito you idiots.

  • I can't believe he didn't get an Oscar for Requiem for a Dream OR this. He's so talented and puts so much effort into his performances.

  • Tom Brook, the reporter/interviewer for this piece was one of the first on the scene on Dec 8th 1980 via a tip off from Jonathan King via Alan Weiss (who was injured in a bike crash awaiting treatment at the Roosevelt Hospital). Subsequently, it was Brook who became the first person to relay the news to the BBC in London.

  • omg his eyes <3

  • he looks so awesome here

  • lol at the newsreader! his lisp made me laugh :')

  • Gorgeous eyeeeeessss! always have loved his eyes.

  • i think jared leto deserves a little more respect than people like rnstuffy who didn't understand the difficulties phisically and mentally he suffered playing chapman as a lead role. He's a very talented man and i can only surrender my credit to him for taking on such a massive task as an actor. This role was a lot more bigger than you think rnstuffy.

  • instead of putting his health in danger why didn't they just use prosthetics

  • @provehito44 jared says he likes a challenge.

  • OMG! THOSE EYES!!! I WANT THEM!!! THEY ARE MINE!!!

  • he's so beautiful

  • god i missed this interview!

one of the few british intewrviews he does and i mss it :'(

mind you thats what youtubes for!

  • I think he's really under rated...I mean, he's such a good actor ;\

  • isn't this fundamently wrong - to make a movie about a person who killed John lennon because he basically wanted attention?

  • @specialness16 good point.

  • haha Jared Leeeeeto

  • ...this british interviewer guy has a serious lisp. haha...i wonder how he became a news man

  • @FunkyJunk3191 Uh he has the qualifications for the job

  • For some reason he reminds me of Swiftkaratechop.

  • yes! they are so similar.

  • @C3Z4rtv I've been thinking the same thing for ages too! xD

  • IS! my bad is!

  • i love playing the video back, and seeing jared fat, and then when you would see him for the first time, how gorgeous he was

  • Personally i will never give a shit about this movie.

Who gives a crap what was going on in this guys head? He killed such a wonderful person.

Never watched it and never will.

I love Jared Leto though, he's one of my favorite actors.

  • how didnt i see this!?!? i mean when it was on tv..

  • i recently watched it on cable...indleplex..AMAZING FILM...amazing "method acting" by jared.

  • I cant believe he wasnt even nominated to the oscars. He worked so hard for this film and he just gave his best perfomance ever. I would so give him an oscar right now.

  • i know he deserves it! he should get one for mr nobody though they said it was the best of his career. i cant wait for that one

  • @megabulle agreed but i think that the guys who give the oscars probably looked at the film and seen that lindsey lohan was in it and had seconds thoughts, i do agree tho great performance.

  • I can't believe they pronounced his name wrong! Gosh, 67 pounds is a lot, how the hell did he manage to get that off so quickly?! Weird, I can barely recognise him...

  • Its called working out.

  • i know i commented a lot, but jared has told people about the downfall of humanity in interveiws abut chap. 27 sooo many times its crazy, and also about what he ate to gain weight...eww

i think he had a reahearsed speech about chap. 27 to do at all of the interveiws

  • he says the same stuff in all his requiem for a dream interviews too

about humanity's obsession with escapism or whatever

  • for god sake, its not jared lee tow, why do people keep making this mistake, its leh tow....leh tow! so annoying. =l why doesnt he just get a tatoo on his ass saying, its leh tow, not lee tow ....well it would be weird but it might do the job!

  • yeah but we'd only get to see it if we were like the luckiest person on earth tho. hes so fit i love him so much.

  • if it was on his ass no one would see it anyway...

  • He did so well packing on the pounds then wearing them off again, OMG they it sounded like they called him jared Leeto when it's jared leto! grrr that makes me pissed off he's so beautifle :)

  • He played the role of Mark David Chapmen well. He made the character come alive. I first couldn't believe it was him when I saw the movie.

  • he didn't gain 60 lbs.. come on that is insulting to our intelligence..maybe 15 lbs. He looks nothing like Chapman. And how did the loser "Chapman" obtain the money for all of trips back and forth NYC in 1980, and long stays at the mid-town Sheraton. Where did he get the money? The film says nothing of the 2 days in Chicago where Chapman stayed in prior to his final time in NYC. Horrible implausable movie. Insulting to the viewer.

  • He actually gained more than 60 pounds and developed physical problems such as gout as a result. He would have to use a wheelchair because of the pain.

This film looks at the last couple of days Chapman spent in New York before he murdered Lennon on Dec. 8. According to Jared, the point of this film was to examine and explore the mind of a sick human being. He believes it's worthwhile to explore the failures who have experiences that are painful and difficult and this is a historical event.

  • Yeah I couldn't believe it was him. He was so fat.

  • And he was actually ugly which is something I would have never expect to say about "the pretty face" of jared

  • yeah 67 pounds.

  • 67 lbs...btw

  • @rnstuffy your a dickhead :P

  • @rnstuffy your an idiot :P

  • @rnstuffy you know whats insulting to our intelligence, you are

he gained more than 60lbs and did an amazing job in this film

so you should just keep your mouth shut

  • @rnstuffy haha.listen to some interviews like Jared Leto with Alan Carr chatty man one ,where the interviewer asked him about the 60 pounds and that was correct.
