The only really fake fights were 3 and 5.

The fights with Carl Weathers were conducted as close to real as Stallone felt comfortable doing.

@jettaman860 The movie ended like the series should have. In front of a real boxing crowd prior to a real fight, we got to see maybe the greatest boxing icon of our time fight one last time. The mixture of fiction and reality in the last scene when the crowd salutes Rocky/Stallone is just genius. When everybody heard "Rocky 6," we asked "why?" But Stallone pulled it off. He tied up a character the right way. Great movie? No, but really damned good.
