woah there, slow down. give me some more details on your problem please, and include some punctuation so i can actually understand what you are saying. =P
mine turns left i dont know what you guys are talking about maybe its the luck of the draw then cause i can make mine go straight and turn both directions. the reason you cant go back words cause of there being fixed pitch and the lack of a rear rotor. its because its duel blades
I bot mine at game stop for 40 but then it broke after a week then I got the interceptor hobi class exactly like mi nitro just cheaper only 35 bucks but need Costco membership
It seems they changed the blade design from the earlier version. The 1st one I had the blades swivelled...each side of the upper and lower blades were hinged. The replacement one I got has 2 fixed blades.
Also, remember this is a toy not a hobby level helicopter. The cheapest HOBBY level RC copter I've seen costs ~$80.00-$120.00 for a RTF kit.
I paid the extra $5 for the no questions asked lifetime replacement plan from the local toy store. I flew it about 12-15 times before it broke. I took it back and got it replaced for free. It is pretty stable for an RC toy that costs under $30.00.
Thanks for the review, I'd actually considered getting this, but your description of it has convinced me it's cheap tie-in rubbish. If you really wanted to build a good one you could, but to my knowledge no one has. Would have to be ducted fan and would be real hard to fly
yea, but dont worry, it CAN turn left. i kinda messed up when i was talking because i was too concentrated on flying. i actually meant to say that it cant go side to side. : /
there are trimming adjusters under the right stick. if your hornet is spinning to the right, click the left button until the hornet stabilizes and vice versa
I just picked one up yesterday and it seems to have a bad habit of falling on its tail which inturn doesnt alow it to take off strait up. Maybe it need a slight more weight in the front?
johnston, explain how ur hornet isnt working and i might be able to help :P.
and to theleadzepplin- yea ur right that overall there are better helicopters, but you can actually control this one. not as precisely as other better helis, but still, this vid is only for showing people how it is and to help decide if they wana buy it :D
Although it has a scale look of halo hornet, and got Halo written on tx, I wouldn't recommend this type of heli, they basically got a cheap 2ch heli added some plastic and staggered the price because it got Halo written on it!
you can not control 2ch helis properly, and for the same price or less you can get a decent 3ch with gyro heli that is much more stable and fun to fly,you can actually control it!
the hornet scale you can add yourself to a real good flying heli!
Did this just come out? Because when I was ordering I saw virtually no videos on this at all, and after I got it I see quite a few. I enjoyed mine until the two very top "Trimmers" I think they are called that, anyway they broke.
well the very two top parts are actually the stabalizers. today mine broke off too, but i was actually able to fix it. what you can do is get some hot glue and a tooth pick. split the tooth pick down the center so you end up with a sliver of wood. place it on top of the rotor and glue it in place. make sure there is no glue on the center pivot, however. its hard to explain the fix with only words, so ill try to get a video or picture to help
to go left give it allitle throttel and to go right left off the throtter alittle i hade it but the bottom rodar kept on spinning and wouldnt stop so i got another one and tht broke too
the hornet is made out of a lightweight plastic. at first i thought it felt really cheap, but i was actually surprised about how durable it is. i crashed it many times, and once it hit the wall at full speed, fell 20 ft, bounced off the stares, and hit the tile floor. the crash made me cringe, but it only got some minor scratches :D
as for the quality of the flight, you have to get used to controlling it well. most beginners oversteer and make it go out of control. once you get the hang of it, however, its so much fun to fly. However, the hornet naturally goes forward in flight. you can turn it left and right and go up and down, but it cant move side to side. not a problem in most cases, but for a small toy its very good. the recharge wire on the remote doesnt fit too well on the hornet, but only a minor issue.
Comes with spare parts: no PS- typo on 1st reply- "stairs" not "stares" :D I will also be making another video with better quality showing more of the flight performance. the flight in the video isnt the best.

MustangScott2000 1 year ago
@MustangScott2000
yep, you could do that. but dont add too much weight or the flight time will shorten. I'd say half a paperclip taped to the nose would to the trick.
