I dont think it matters if he served his country or not. All of that went out the window when he decided to turn the gun on his fellow soldiers. He killed 12 American soldiers on American Soldier. That's 12 more broken families all because he "abused" about his religion. pathetic.

Apparently Major Hasan believed he was being harassed because of his Middle Eastern background (he came from a Palestinian town close to Jerusalem).

He had been transfered to Ford Hood from Bethesda. He had a history of poor performance.

In 1998 and 2001 his parents passed and became a more devout Muslim.

As an army psychiatrist he is alleged to have heard the traumatic stories of soldiers who served tours in Iraq.

I think a lot of things just built up and flipped this guy's lid.

Oh most certainly at the moment the majority of terrorist atrocities and terrorist groups are Muslim.

If this Major Hasan had been influenced by jihadist ideology or had indeed been taking orders from some jihadist terrorist group we will soon know about that.

It could also be possible that Hasan was simply unbalanced.

BUT

The vast majority of Muslim Americans and Muslims in the US military are 100% loyal to the US.

This actually might be an plot to sow mistrust of loyal Muslims.
