@blockthisuser Nope. Platform screen doors were installed in all JLE platforms, not for safety but for improving airflow through tunnels. Safety is just a side effect of them ;)
I never knew the windows could even be opened! Unless you mean the glass doors on the platform. All stations that became a part of the 1999 Jubilee Line extension have those doors, ie from Westminster to Stratford. They are actually more useful than people imagine. For example, they stop suicide attempts, prevent wind turbulence (ie no gales on the platform when the train approaches), and keep the platforms cooler in summer.
in the train carrage were the doors at each end are not side end theres panels that can be opened they bring in a good draft to kwl u down but on jubilee line ouch(by the way im jacksmith109
Oh yeah, I know where you mean now. Yeah they are quite horrible to look down, especially on the older, noisier train lines (Bakerloo, Victoria and Piccadilly)
Boy do I miss living near London. I'd give anything to live there again. The rail service where I live now (Auckland) is so third world it's unbeilevable.
I always use the Jubilee line line train departing sound for the Simpsons Halloween episodes during the Grace Films scream
