@steeluman , Elvis was a humble man and he thought many had a better voice than his , i think his quote was that Roy was the greatest singer in the world , you don't need a better accolade than that coming from the King , and who would argue with Elvis , Roy could sing emotion like no other singer ever and i think that is why Elvis loved him so much , if Elvis was King then Roy has to be his dark prince , both their music will live on forever , Eddie

Roy was one of my favorites. He had a wonderful voice. Too bad he has passed. Thanks for posting this. I have him singing on a tribute for our Great Dane Dog. (Beautiful Dreamer) Wasn't a poplar song, of course, but one of his most beautiful IMO.
