Its not animal 'cruelty'. There is no pain, starvation, or neglection involved. The cat is merely confused and trying to get away from the tape. Sure, I wouldn't do it to my pets, but its not animal cruelty.

If this cat was being hurt, it would have attempted to attack whatever was closest. Also, look closely at the cat. Now, I don't always trust my bad eyes, so do YOU see any fur or skin damage on the animal? This is not abuse. Abuse is torturing an animal by hurting it. This, like playing with my own cat by lassoing his tail with a ball of yarn, is harmless. Chill guys.

And I learn what each cat can do and can't do by watching for any signs of discomfort, such as narrowing eyes, tail flipping, hair raising, excessive meowing and/or hissing...you get the idea. This cat doesn't show any of the signs.
