  • You are the BEST kicker man!!!

  • From all Mike's demos this is my favorite !

    Great video !

  • lol. Yeah, mine as well. I still like to watch anis vs. tim man though. that was a interesting video.

  • Mike Chat once worked as the weatherman for Sodom and Gommorah news when he said, "It's gonna be partly cloudy with a 75% chance of raining fireballs." Then everybody went, "Oh shit not again." And the citizens evacuated.

    Mike Chat is the best.

  • 5 stars

  • Damn, what an amazing video !!!

  • where can i get this song?

  • Mike Chat is GREAT! :P

  • I invite You to my profile, there is this remix ;]

  • OK,OK It is the "Street Fighter", but which?! Please give me the full name, or link for that :)

  • Can you tell me, what is this super song? :P @_@

  • i think hes getting older and less fitter. if you look at the 1995 US open hes much faster and there is more power in his moves

  • Nope - has more to do with the fact hes regularly competing back then, hes hardly a grandad now!

  • He looks great, awsome, spectacular, amazing!

  • love the way he finishes but i gotta agree Bigboss483 the chap is to slow for most if the Xma guys nowadays at least his strikes were proper

  • I hope you realize that "chap" is the man behind XMA. He created the style, and many of the greats who preform XMA these days are taught by him. However you are right that his style of performance may not cut it in today's competition environment.

  • Yeah because he basically is using technique not so much acrobats

  • AMAZING!!!

  • that kick thing he does is amazing

  • yeh i like how he doesnt overdue it with all the flips and and stuff like the kids nowadays do it, its really cool tho

  • and I played it on slow motion, and it remind me a series of Dollyo Chagi's (this a name of kick in Taekwon-do) in different heights.

  • wow, i remember watching this all those years ago, i never thought i'd see it on youtube! this brings back so many memories, especially that old school street fighter!

  • lumpybrains....mike chat is happily married with two little boys....

  • he might of created xma but hes too slow. I wasnt impressed. Its like if he was trying tofocus on his gymnastics more then speed and power and nice moves. I dont know its just my opinion

  • ya he does seem ind of try. When he created xma he tried to put as much gymnastics in as possible without disrupting martial arts, but still very good

  • First, I don't think he created XMA. He's just lauded for marketing the acrobatic side of martial arts. Carmichael Simon, I believe is one of the few people who started martial arts. Second, I know Mike is getting older, but back in the days he was quick. More impressively, I thought he was the cleanest and sharpest kata competitors out there. In terms of technique, he's quite sharp. Third, I'm glad he focused more on the kicks and cleanliness than the gymnastics. He tries to keep the sport true

  • yeh drew thats what im sayin

  • Somewhere in the kata he did that Ken & Ryu impersonation by doing a Hadouken like technique.

  • its called the dragon strike u nerd

  • man i wish i can see this guy fight! would it be amazing. man he does tricks but i wish he would sign up or fight at the WCL. but i wish the best in whatever he does

  • That's awesome to be performing in front of the crowd and Shaolin Monks watching in the back!

  • Did you know that Mike Chat actually invented the X-tream Martial Arts Division for ATA? True Martial artist, very nice guy too.

  • mike chat will be sooo good in bed! yum !

  • some peoples comments are so stupid it's unbelievable. To get to his level he had to practice the basics for years and years before he could do the flashy tricks, slowly building a solid foundation. It does not take much to do barenuckle fighting just some basic strikes and a tiny brain.

  • nice bro, i agree deffinetly, mike chat is da bomb!

  • well said - muffins are quite delicious

  • Old school is right he used to be a power ranger not will be used to. He did not get fired, he quit. He wanted to run his school full time instead of Wednesdays and Fridays. Now he is running a summer trick camp ( takes 1 week for a back flip and gymnastics takes 3 years. and has a school on Monday Wednesday Thursday and Friday.

  • Can someone please message me the name of this song?

  • There's no specific name. Mike compiled this song on his own and added his mix.

  • Find Chat's Bluegrass '96 Street Fighter form, it's much better. Chat still has the best basics around, truly impressive.

  • This guy is extreemly good and clean because his BASICS are amazing.

These days there is a lot of tricksters who only impress with gymnastics/acrobatic moves, but overall look extremely sloppy and unclean in the performance.

Basics is what rules, all flash is trash!

Thumbs up. Great old school musical forms - does not get much better than this.

  • Agree with you 100%! Unfortunately good Martial arts basics is something you see very little of in todays competitors. A real shame :(

  • so true; I always found sport martial artists/trickers lacking and sloppy.

i used to compete between '92 and '01 -- even when the tricking became more and more popular later in the 90's i still did well when competing against the sport/trickers because the judges really appreciated my clean technique in my forms and weapons.

  • The music is very gunny!. :-)

    Street Fighter ;-p

  • Daaaaaaamn...

  • i heard mike chat will be a power ranger lol it's for real??

  • Mike Chat USED to be a Power Ranger a few years ago. He played the blue ranger in the Lightspeed Rescue series.

  • Awesome!
