I'm typing this on a P6T7 system that I built last year. One thing that impressed me was that it fired up and ran first time, I didn't need to reset anything or fix anything, just plug and go.  This has been a VERY stable system. I did have a cheapo HD fail on me a couple of months ago, but that's not the fault of the motherboard. I'm now running 2 HDs in a RAID array so that if one fails, my system still runs...this board supports that.

Not really seeing the super computer here. So underpowered its unusable. Only 4 cores - in10 years, 64 core processors are pretty common. But then they said a 80386 had the whole power of a super computer on a chip, too. What can you use 4 cores for, mabye a tiny webserver???

The main advantage of this type of card is is using mutiple Nvidia graphic cards and their CUDA cores for computing. In the specific field of, for example 3d rendering, video encoding or intense scientific modelisation. This baby, with 3 GTX 250 has not 4 cores but 720 CUDA cores. Check google for CUDA if you wanna know more.

Because Nvidia cards out perform ATI ones, I have GTX295 AND 4870x2 on an i7 system, the Nvidia out performs the ATI by around 10-25%! So the ATI with its 7.1 sound is used for HTPC use.

no kits for this type of build create 8GB of RAM. X58 is Tri-Channel so you need to buy modules in triples. i.e. 6GB of 1000/2000Mhz DDR3 would destroy 8GB of DDR3 at 1000/2000Mhz. Currently there are no 4GB DIMMS for DDR3 so in due time indeed.
