Not choosing sides but from reading the comments I see that there is a lot of misinformation here. There is no doubt that you do have a modified Escort with around 145Hp. What is bothering me is that everyone is saying that this Civic has 125HP when it doesn't. It actually has 102HP. The description says that it has the 1.5L which means it has the D15B7 with 102HP. If it had the 1.6L D16Z6 then it would have the 125HP... Either way, clean race.
I owned a brand new 1995 escort one time before. And I drove a 1994 Honda civic as a company car. both were stick shifts. When it comes to comparing. I really felt that BOTH were about the same power. But the Honda requires a lot of RPMs to get the same power as Escort. Although the Escort had low performance on the higher RPMs, But it had better "low end" performance than civic. Also the Escort was more comfortable, and easier to get in & out of too.
if you haven't realized it yet but this ain't your normal "ESCORT" It has been heavily modded the entire drive-train isn't stock. no 1.9 SOHC and shitty F-series transmission here!!!! normally a 94 stock civic runs around 125+hp as the 95 Escort only comes stock w/ 88hp so civic wins anyhow
@chobieboy I dont agree. That escort I had was all stock. I drove 50k miles on Escort, and 68k miles on the civic. They are over all the same power. Escort has 88 hp, but thats at about 4000-5000 rpm. The civic rates 125 at about 6500 rpms. I called the Escort 88 buff horses vs 125 wimpy horses. = same power BOTH stock. Plus one time I tested the top speeds.Risking a ticket! They both were about the same. 115 mph. Well maybe civic is just SLIGHTLY faster by a few miles.

No sir the wagon has at least 145HP with the mods I have done. And no the wagon is not stock.
the civic had 1.5 SOHC cold air intake and exhaust not sure of any other mods.
AND to top it off I had a passenger he didn't.
