  • you use to play for a very jazzy, bluesy, soulful church. that song is funky the best I ever heard. You made that song your own. great job. the Yankees need to hear your version and hire you A.S.A.P!! I'm not a fan of the Yankees, but I'm a fan of your skills. Keep playing man. You Fuc@#^g Rock!!!!

  • It sounds like the Giants are using this on radio commercials in SF, is that true?

  • Nicely done!!!

  • Now we are talking - sorry Bernie - note cut it at the real end

  • omg this is so darn good u r a beast

  • Wow! Very very good playing! Sounds great!!

    Go on with that!! =)

    Greets from Bavaria,

    Chris

  • Sustained notes are the best, rock on!

  • How heavy are those Motion Sound amps?

  • i think thes weigh about half of a real 122 or 147 eslie, but im not sure, just played one in a music store...

  • i am compelled

  • sweet song but booo yankees

  • Just a note to say thanks for all the comments. I really appreciate it.

    Peace, Mike

  • excellent, excellent, excellent. love the final chords

  • TY 4 THAT ...GO YANKEES!!!

  • Hi, I have a Motion Sound Pro145 too. But it lacks bass too much compared to any original leslie. Yes, I know its a 12" woofer and the leslies are 15", plus the compact size of the cabinet... But I feel that your recording is responding pretty well to bass. What did you do to get this bass? Is the sound of the Xk3 all coming from the Pro145 and then to the camera microphone?

  • hey bro your freakin awesome. could you give us the notes to this so we can learn to play it?

  • I own a nord c1 combo organ . Do you know if it can work with the Motion Sound Pro 145?And is it a good combination?

  • GO TIGERS!!!

  • I'm OK now??? Learned to listen without watching Latchmo change the organ stops - seems to transition more if I don't look - Love this and keep listening - is that a problem? Oh - can't stand baseball - isn't that strange? as I like the park sounds and activity and get dragged there. The Indians are on ALL OF THE TIME here - get a little tired of it! But - you know how it goes - and just plain jealous of this guys' talent. b

  • Just Great - for a nice lift! Keep it up Latchmo - I keep comin back - I wish you would record it with a bit of a different transition - you know what I mean - the build up and then slam bang - Into - the fight song with a runnin start during the switch and fast Leslie - you are a talented performer - no criticism here - just would like to have it without that slow-down. bud - -and Lynn did like it -that makes it all worth it !!!!!

  • Love it! Go Yanks!

  • some may think that "organ music' is corny - if it is not from a keyboard in a rock band - but as a stand alone - its great with lots of sounds to fill in for those that may not hear every frequency from sitting in front of blasting speakers from performing on stage - AND - If maggie liked it - it has class!

  • Cool!

  • LOL, you thought I liked organ music, huh? God, you are such a phony. bud is really sucking up on ye, eh?

  • perdy daygone good! You got absorbed in the drama when you switched over at the end (little to slow - and mushed- you know it) so being so talented you should record and post it again! I had the only real Leslie's in town- everybody felt the air moving - bud

  • BASEBALL FOREVER!!! xD

  • very nice.....Go Dodgers!!!!

  • Very nice. Love it. Go New York Yankees!!!

  • Hey Latchmo, I hold you personally responsible for me finding the need to further trick out my Pro145 with additional lighting. See the new video post above.

You may recall I posted the red rotor cabinet. Well, people were giving me shit at gigs saying I should do the bottom drum cabinet in blue so guess what? Thanks to your initial inspiration my amp is now tricked out with lighting on top and bottom.

Keep up the great playing, by the way!

  • is this the original transmanuscript?

  • whoa! I've never seen so much originality and awesomeness from a cover before in my life!

  • wow..

    dumm thinqs..

    ican do better..

    but iplat the Clairnet...

    Spring Lake Park rules...

  • have you tried the new Motion Sound MS 360..I'd be curious to hear your take on it. I have a Roland VK8 with updated 2.0 software to replace the awful leslie sim it came with...I'll see if there really is a rotery sim that can move air and generate some gerth.. great chops you have...keep it up...

  • You should play in a real ball game !!

    ^_^

    it could have been amazing.

  • 10 out of 10!!!!!

  • Now, THAT"S what I"M talkin bout!

  • Dude, I have been playing Hammond all my life (I am 50 now). I have baby pictures crawling on an M-2. I have to say, you smoke, dude....that is off the hook. Obviously I have a lot of work to do now that I saw this vid. Oh yeah, the light through the Pro145 inspired me. I decided to mount red bulbs internally in the rotor compartment of my Pro145. Call me extravagant but I thought that looked pretty cool.

  • Very well done, thanks for sharing!

    Go Dodger Blue! ;)

  • Nice job...great feel

    Gotta say though...GO SOX (lol)

  • love the song and the yankee song was a great touch LETS GO YANKEES

  • This is why I love my motion sound.

    Great playing bud.

  • Very good music!!

  • Great job. I love the light behind the 145 too, great visiual.!!

  • WOW!

    Sounds amazing!

Mind if I ask how long you've been playing?

  • Fantastic man, GO YANKS!

  • Fantastic feel man! Really groovin` huh? Great!

  • Dude, that was awesome! Great job.

  • fuck me, the size of that leslie!

  • NO NO YOUR MOTHER SUCKS AND VERY WELL

  • es bueno, suena muy bien, pero tiene demasiados arreglos innecesarios.

ahh otras cosas, cambia de equipo, mejor los Padres de San Diego

  • Always heard of a leslie footswitches, This is the actually first time I've seen one used. Looks like a good investment, It suits you're style well!

  • I just bought an M3 and you are inspiring!

  • great played!!! but i'm honest, i prefer the atlanta braves!!!

  • ahh.. good song, but the YANKEES!!???? Lol...

  • this is sick man! nice job

  • nice job!

  • Love the spinning Leslie.

  • awesome vid but can you do the entire yankees theme song ? The last 20s have me craving for more ...

  • That was awesome! I had to watch it over and over again. They should use your version at the games.

    Thanks for the fun...loved it!

  • best one on youtube.. this is a great cover of a great classic.. way to show us you can rock man!

  • there are more than drawbars on this xk3..what do the extra ones do? and does the motion sound have footswitch controlled speed?

  • another set you can use to queue up basically. A Hammond B3 has 4 drawbars, 2 for each manual. You toggle which set of 9 drawbars to use with the last inverted color keys in the lowest octave.

  • I love the Motion Sound Pro 145. I play a Vox Continental through it. Search out "Mondo Topless Panty Sniffer" on YouTube for a clip of my band in action...

  • Sounds really great!! Love your style also.

  • Hey brilliant when the next video i sujjest a gospel on the organ and upbeat one greattt

  • I am thinking about purchasing this amp online, as no stores in my area carry it. Would you be able to post a short clip demonstrating the amp's overdrive, as I would like to hear it before I buy it. Thanks

  • what are the blakc and whit keays for on te end ?

  • The inverse color keys are drawbar presets like those found on a real Hammond B3.

On the XK3, in addition to drawbar presets, they also save other custom user paramaters as well.

  • parameters

  • hi, i just got the pro 145... I have a quiestion. How do you get that light inside the leslie? I actually thought it came with a swithc or something that lighted up the box on the inside.....

  • wasamareyu,

There are no lights inside the Pro145. For this video, I took off the back of the Pro145 and hung a couple of shop lights behind it to get that effect.

  • Yowza! It's what - 20 screws - to take off the back! I do like the effect, though...

  • Amen!

  • You make it seem too easy

  • AWESOME!

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!

  • YOO! dude....you got me there......your awsome.

  • You're one of a kind, your videos are great, congratulations dude!

  • Hella funky!!

  • this was a great video, i really dont like this song but hearin you play it makes it sound great, keep playin

  • Good job man.

  • HAHAHAHA!! You got some incredible skillz bro!!

  • how does the internal mics sound when amplified? does it vary or is it exactly the same from what you get without? I was thinking of gettin one. i have an xk3 as well and wanted to know a little more of the 145 before buying it. One of the things i like is that it looks small and portable.

  • wasamareyu, i've used the internal mics a couple of times and the're not bad. of course, a couple of 57s placed ouside the cabinet sound better.

  • wow! that was great!!! [I've a PRO-145 & XB-1 organ :) ]

what's the title of the song in the last 30min. ? It's the part of Take me out... ?

    congratulations!

  • thanks xbgyuri,

the last 30 seconds is part of the fight song for the New York Yankees baseball team titled "Here Come The Yankees"

  • thank you! i like it! :)

  • does that leslie gives more overdrive?

  • wasamareyu,

you can overdrive it as little or as much as you want. it has an AX7tube pre-amp and two stages of volume control: GAIN and VOLUME so you can push the gain high and get overdrive. and with PRE AMP control you adjust how the pre amp distorts - more harsh or more mellow (to describe it vaguely)

  • GOOD I HAVE A XK-3 TO !!

  • Nawauw. Hee this is realy a great Sound. Like the light in the Motion. He Man real, good awesome

  • Awesome! If Ray Charles had composed Take Me Out to the Ballgame, that's exactly how it would sound!

  • Dude... you are awesome! I bought my 9 year old a really nice keyboard for Christmas ... but she hasn't started trying to learn it!!

YOU should be playing in a PENTECOSTAL church somewhere! lol lol (cuz they can ALL SING & PLAY awesome)

  • DUDE, im looking to buy that same amp...its absolutly beautiful and funky how u play lol...its really rockin...YOU ROCK!!!

    cheers

    peace&love

  • woooohooooo Mike!

    Fantastic, as usual. =)

    Keep it up.

  • that was awesome...go yankees!

  • amazing

  • As always, top notch Mike....An American in France playing "Take me out to the ballgame" They must love you over there...

    Amazing stuff

  • Awesome playing Mike. I really enjoy your chops. Go Yanks...there's still time yet.

  • Very good sound

  • Oh my word, this just blew my mind, I'm serious, you are an amizingly expressive keyboard player, you put so much power and emotion into your playing.

    Don't ever stop making music.

  • great to see that horn spinning round! Is it on a foot switch?

  • mattcol99, yes - fast/slow/stop on a foot switch

  • Amazing!

  • fabulous wonderful excellent great lovely intune....ur one fantastic player.
