I then proceeded to seduce Mortimer Goth to the point where I got him to move in with me. It was a wierd and highly amusing thing to do at the time.

i remember the newbies :) i made Betty and Bob fall in love and then i made them make out and a screen popped up asking if i should have a baby i said yes and i made the newbies have a girl named Brandi. I gave Brandi love and care i fed her singed to her and singed to her again every single day then Brandi grow up. I wish that could happen in real life.

Best thing about this game is that it has managed to age better than the newer Sims by playing with anachronism and character archetypes in suburbia rather than strictly adhering to current trends. Timeless.

Sims 1, sigh.. I can remember playing this with friends as a child and it just had this wonderfull special taint with these expansions and stuff. Making fun, calling people to fight them, dating girls haha. I'm glad the music in Sims 2 is 'simsy' too. It's not perfect like this but a good replacement. Sadly I dislike Sims 3 a lot.

I LOVE this game. I have Sims 2 and its just not the same. I'm not even interested in moving further than that in the series. Nothing has ever been as fun as Sims 1, probably cause of the music. Plus I used to play Sims 1 with my sister when we were growing up and I have so many silly memories of stoves catching on fire and us screaming and laughing. Also people passing out in front of the swimming pool latter and everyone in the pool drowning. LOL!!!!

i try to run it on Windows 7, it closes Windows Explorer.

i try to run on Vista, The game crashes after a hour or two.

Just like with all the Neighborhood/Build/Buy mode music, what can be said? It's one of the main things that gave Sims 1 it's charm.
