I finally got it to work...sort of....I chose Bulbasaur to be the pokemon I encounter and it flashed across the screen, but it was named pidgey and used Bulbasaur's attack. Then as soon as my charmander wa ssummonsed everythign went red and then the game crashed to solid black. Now it won't do anyhting....

@refa007 I had that exact same problem, and I've realised it depends on which emulator you use - some will support the codes, others won't.

If you type 'vbalink' into google, the top site has an emulator that works, plus it lets you trade pokemon with yourself which is neat :)
