Bolt is technically correct in his English in saying that he is an "athlete" compared to swimmer Michael Phelps. If you've done track in high school/college, you'd know that track and field is also commonly referred to as "athletics". Those who do athletics are therefore athletes and those who swim are swimmers. And Bolt is an incredible athlete to say the least.

Bolt is technically correct in his English in saying that he is an "athlete" compared to swimmer Michael Phelps. If you've done track in high school/college, you'd know that track and field is also commonly referred to as "athletics". Those who do athletics are therefore athletes and those who swim are swimmers. And Bolt is an incredible athlete to say the least.

So do not hold any suspicion without first checking the evidence. Usian Bolt is a clean, pure and talented athlete who will raise the bar for the future generation. The amount of athletes that compete around the world in sprinting far exceeds those that compete in phelps swimming events. There will be far more attempts on Bolts records than phelps but Bolts records will last far longer than Phelps.
