There is a way. Enable home sharing, enter your ID then go onto itunes under advanced and enable it there, then hey presto. :D

your are not telling the whole story like how to enable somethings. i'm using the same wifi and I signed in on the library and the remote app with same user name but it is still not working. I also enable sharing media on my computer but the device just won't appear on iTunes library. any suggestions?

Hey dude, I had this app when it first came out and I remember I was able to just pick the song I wanted to play and iTunes will play it automatically. Now it seems I have to do a voting shit to pick a song. Is there a way to just pick songs without voting or I'm screwed?

I Know how to make it show up on iTunes but after that it just says it cant find library lol.

If it is there and saying password is wrong the go into itunes and preferences then then uncheck "look for iphone apple romotes..." blah blah, then close your itunes then re-open it and do the same but check the box then restart again then before you click on itunes, well before you open it then open "Remote" and go to the screen with 4 digits then open itunes and it should be there, just enter code!

If your using xp then go control panel and go into your firewall then when you get to the screen to turn it on and off, something should be checked and its a box saying "dont allow exeptions" uncheck that and you should be done! Just remember to open the app on your ipod and goto the 4 digit bit THEN open it up on your computer and it will be on the left! I had the same problem but i fixed it (:

very easy if you follow roflmyfuckingmayo's directions. one more thing tho, your windows firewall may have to be disabled. this is a risk for your computer, so use at your own risk. your windows firewall can be disabled by going to the control panel and clicking security center. if you use a different firewall (like me), then you should be fine without disableing it.

Personally I think this is a retarded app because the fact of your firewall has to be disabled is kind of a nuisance, the whole point of your firewall is to protect your pc while youre online. Its basically letting your computers guard down. I think apple could come up with something a little better.

You have to make sure the bonjoure service is up and running.

1.) Close Itunes.

2.) Disconnect the iphone from the USB.

3.) on a PC, go to Start>Run> and type in services.msc with out the quotes.

4.) then find the Bonjoure service, right click it and hit start.

5.) open remote app on iphone and hit add library and get to the screen that has the 4 digit code.

6.) open itunes.

7.) if bonjoure is running, it should show up instantly in itunes
