1 F-117 shot down over Serbia, but not with AAA, it was SAM, 2 misiles were lunched, first one missed and second hit the target.

It was a special kind of SAm with a 1 in a million chance to hit. It used a low frequency radar, which negates stealth, but sees everything, every bird, cloud, bug, tree and everything is marked and its almost impossible to see anything. High moisture in the area along with it being totally clear messed up the stealth because the stealth paint doesnt work well in high moisture. The low frequency radar also helped, but the moisture was what made the F-117's radar signature seeable.

They have the ability to develop this stuff, but becasue of their terrible financial situation, people aren't getting educated as well nor are they trying to build better weapons. Something along the lines of russian Mig-31, only stealthy and and manueverable, with missiles capable of engaging enemy fighters at 400 km (Mig-31M can allready engage enemy bombers at that range, but it is a long time for fighters, but who knows)

OR

Mach 6 bombers like american Aurora or like russian Mach 12 Ajax project.

Raptor, to be honest, is not hte future, it is way too slow :( Can't even intercept Mig-31 if it goes for bombers.

The Su-37 does not exist any more. The most advanced Sukhoi is the Su-35 and Su-47. No country want the Su-35. Russian cannot afford them or the money to finish Su-47 testing.

To tool up for such a situation would be prohibitively expensive, xXxFir3FlyxXx, especially with their focus on the Su-35. Pogosyan said on 26SEP07 that foreign deliveries could begin in 2010, with domestic Russian planes being delivered from 2011-2015. They wouldn't jeopardize these orders by trying to produce Su-37s. Its final resting place will be on video, according to most sources.

T-50/PAK FA has been in development for quite a while, IairbusI, and was already supposed to be flying and in production, if we are to believe all the propaganda and outright lies put out in the press over the years. One Su-35 has completed its initial flight test program, but it is an incomplete plane, with only minimal systems, so is nowhere representative of a production article. Until then, it's just another example of the big boast, with little substance behind it. SSDD.
